Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

@mynameisMrG that's one way of describing him Grin it was awful and I never had time to have any emotion about his sex, one way or the other. I actually really thought he was she whilst I was pregnant. I just want time to be able to think ahh, that's nice, maybe they'll be...

Gillster · 14/05/2019 22:20

Hi I’m 45(!), 2nd pregnancy due 8th Jan (seems to be quite a few of us due on that date). DS is also a Jan baby and will be 4 when this one is born, all being well.

On hols at the moment with the in-laws. Have successfully managed to look like I’m drinking when I’m not as don’t want them to know yet. Only 2 more days of deception required.

Symptoms wise, boobs feel huge and super tired at the moment. Welcome to all the newbies!

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 14/05/2019 22:28

Pina it’s my second, feels so surreal to think I’ll have two children next year should everything go smoothly 😱 at least this time life is busier so hopefully it won’t drag as much.

Sweetooth92 · 14/05/2019 22:37

Hi everyone,
I’m 27, baby #2, my DS is 16 months so will be almost 2 when baby arrives
current EDD of 3rd January.
Can’t believe it’s a second thread already

karryk · 15/05/2019 05:38

Hello! I'm 41 (42 next month!). I have a 2 yr old daughter. This is my fifth pregnancy as sadly I had two early miscarriages before my daughter came along and then one in December last year. Fingers crossed this time around. I'm due 10th Jan.

Xx

Duebabynumbertwo · 15/05/2019 07:12

Hi everyone, just checking in on the new thread.
EDD 8th Jan, my DS will be 2.5 then. I had a miscarriage before DS so I’m scared it will happen again but trying to be positive- Having lots of stomach cramps and lower back pain but no bleeding.

Teaonthebedsheets · 15/05/2019 07:16

Hi all, just found out I'm pregnant with baby 2. Due 18 January when my first will be around 2 and a half.

primarywoodle · 15/05/2019 07:39

Wow congrats on all the new bfps!

gillster wowzers thats gonna be an expensive new year with xmas amd 2 birthdays!!! 😱

Ceejay19 · 15/05/2019 09:26

Hi everyone, just wanted to say hi. I'm due 5th Jan with my second child. I've got a little boy who will be 4 in July.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/05/2019 09:36

I rolled over last night in bed and had a REALLY sharp pain near where I imagine my ovaries are. Hoping it was just muscular but I don't know how to stop the intrusive thoughts. Was googling early signs of eptopic pregnancies at 2 am.
Feel OK today, a bit sore but seem to have one good day and one bad day so I'm due to feel crap today lol

Doesn't help that DS doesn't do anything gently so if he comes over for a cuddle, he slams into me, if he's sat on me and shuffles it's all hands and elbows in my fatty tummy :(

Anon120 · 15/05/2019 10:14

@SleepingStandingUp I have had that too - when I've moved too quick or sneeze.. I've been told it's quite likely round ligament pain (have a google for more explanation!) but think it's perfect normal as the uterus expands.

Chantalle3 · 15/05/2019 10:15

Congrats all new BFPs. Same date as me for now @Ceejay19!

SleepingStandingUp · 15/05/2019 10:31

@Anon120 thanks, yeah I had it with last DS but I just can't help the intrusive thoughts. I had awful nightmares with DS early on, really horrid. Dad bought me a dreamcatcher which helped, even if only psychologically.

Been mooching around the maternity wear 😂 although obv not buying. Can't remember when I ditched the boned bras last time.

Lyssa91 · 15/05/2019 10:35

It's 230am here in California and I have been unable to sleep the past few nights. I wake up every 5 minutes gagging the nausea at night is so bad. Any mother's out there taking zofran? Thoughts?

DaisyMay25 · 15/05/2019 10:48

@Lyssa91 I'm looking at b6 atm apparently taking three a day should help with nausea but I'm gonna ask my clinic first

Chantalle3 · 15/05/2019 10:58

@sleepingstandingup I already cut the underwiring out of some of my bras 🙈 I just couldn't bear it!

Anon120 · 15/05/2019 11:05

@SleepingStandingUp yes when is a safe time to start buying maternity wear? It's really early I know but am already consciously of my seriously bloated belly that my current clothes don't go with 🙊

mynameisMrG · 15/05/2019 11:23

I have maternity wear from last time but I will need some more bits towards the end as my stuff is all summer. I don’t think there is a too early time. Maybe just get yourself a couple of pairs of trousers. Better to be comfy. I lived in mat leggings with my first. So comfy and not expensive but I suppose it depends on your job realkt

Oh, I feel the same! I can’t fit into any of my jeans and my bras give me a double boob effect but I’m waiting until after my scan next week before I buy anything, just in case.

Thankfully it’s warmer weather now and I can wear loose fitting dresses and sports leggings but I am going straight out after the scan to buy things which fit!

Starfish83 · 15/05/2019 12:06

Hello folks!

Can I please join you?

I'm 4+2 with baby #2, due on 20th January.

I have a toddler who is 19 months. Joined the Mumsnet Oct '17 thread when pregnant with DD and we still have the most wonderful support group on Facebook. 😊

Hope that everyone's doing OK. The long wait to the first scan is a real challenge (for me, anyway!)! x

AstroKate · 15/05/2019 12:11

I was on the previous thread and have bobbed over too.

EDD 3rd Jan. Baby no 1 for us-both nearly 40 so nervous!

I've not been too unwell but very very bloated and feel enormous already.

I had a 6 wk scan where I saw flutter of heartbeat as I had some spotting. Due another one at 8 weeks (next Friday) to just check all ok.

V nervous as MC at 6 weeks in December so very eager to get the first 12 weeks over with!

DaisyMay25 · 15/05/2019 12:17

@AstroKate how lovely! It's great seeing the little heartbeat isn't it?

CatRash · 15/05/2019 12:23

Checking in on the new thread - due #2 on 06th January.

The pregnancy cravings have started - exactly the same as my first pregnancy. Citrus, in particular lemon, and salt and vinegar crisps. Had to improvise with a bottle of malt vinegar and ready salted Hula Hoops at 8am morning lol.

Anyone else craving things?

Gorillaandme · 15/05/2019 12:44

@CatRash I'm craving spicy food. I could eat a jar of Jalapeños. In my last pregnancy my tolerance for spice got better and better until I was eating stuff my husband couldn't stomach. So strange as usually I don't go hotter than a Korma 😆
