Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

MrsP4 · 29/05/2019 14:02

Sunshine3105 · 29/05/2019 14:06

MrsP4 · 29/05/2019 14:24

Just had my first midwife appointment, so many questions!
Booked in for my NT and dating scan on June 25th
Then midwife on 17th July for my 16 week appointment!
Got my 9 week scan tomorrow then discharge from my clinic.
So many appointments already!!

LillyLeaf · 29/05/2019 15:50

@Sunshine3105 @MrsP4 that's great. I only sent my self referral form off yesterday so I guess it will be a few weeks until I hear anything. I'm London too. I'm finding it so hard to concentrate at work this week.

LillyLeaf · 29/05/2019 15:52

@DaisyMay25 I remember you from the IVF boards, so pleased you are progressing so quickly, very exciting having appointments.

Sunshine3105 · 29/05/2019 15:54

@LillyLeaf i send referral last week and called them today but they couldnt find it so i had to do the one over the phone....which part of London are you? Im south west

LillyLeaf · 29/05/2019 15:58

@Sunshine3105 I'm North. I think it took about 2 weeks to get a letter last time (from what I remember).

DaisyMay25 · 29/05/2019 15:59

@LillyLeaf doesn't stop me panicking all the time! You have your viability scan yet? Glad everything is going well with you!

Mirana · 29/05/2019 16:08

Hi All!

Sorry I ducked out, last week was insane and things are only just settling down. I had my scan last Friday, and they couldn't see the pregnancy (just a very small fluid filled sac), but my uterine lining was very thick and there were no signs of bleeding. Got marked as a "pregnancy of unknown location". They took a blood test for hcg and then asked me to come back 48h later, as they suspected either the start of a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

My hcg levels on Friday were 1405, they had to increase by 62% before Sunday for the pregnancy to be viable. When I went back on Sunday, my levels were at 3030+! Was an increase of 116% in 48h, which is fab. Ruled out miscarriage and made ectopic very unlikely.

I now have a viability scan on 7th June. They have to check the pregnancy is in the right place, and that the baby is developing, but the blood test results seem really promising. Can (mostly) relax for now! Should also hopefully see a hb next Friday if by miracle all is ok Grin

They suspect it was just a tiny bit too early when they scanned me, but all will become clear at next scan. Getting more and more symptoms, now have rock boobs from hell and daily sickness, and also picked up a UTI which I'm now on antibiotics for... Oh, the glamour!!

LillyLeaf · 29/05/2019 16:12

@DaisyMay25 I was going to ask how have you coped with 'BFP after IVF anxiety' but sounds like there's no way to cope. My viability scan is next Friday so I'll be 6+5, dreading it.

MrsP4 · 29/05/2019 16:15

@Sunshine3105 the 11th is my first midwife appointment I'll be 7+3 and then after that o will get a date for my first NHS 12 week scan but we've paid privately and having an early scan at 8 weeks on the 14th. Just to make sure everything is ok 🙏🏻

MrsP4 · 29/05/2019 16:16

Got everything crossed for you @Mirana any idea how far you are?

DaisyMay25 · 29/05/2019 16:20

@LillyLeaf fingers crossed everything goes well for you! I had mine at 6+1 and saw the heartbeat! I think after tomorrow's scan I'll feel a lot better, although I said that last time...

mynameisMrG · 29/05/2019 16:23

Blimey @Mirana how stressful for you!

OP posts:
Mirana · 29/05/2019 16:24

@MrsP4 Thank you :) No idea actually. LMP was 12th April, but I have 50+ day cycles so it's shady. I got a positive ovulation test on the 5th May, so they would have scanned me just before I hit 5 weeks. Makes sense they wouldn't see much, but they didn't believe me about my long cycles and said "we only go by LMP"! Causes a lot of grief for us irregular ladies.

On 7th June I should be hitting around 6+4 or even slightly further, but depending on development we should have a much better idea of my dates. It is honestly a nightmare, but trying to keep my chin up and muddle through to July!

SleepingStandingUp · 29/05/2019 17:04

Yup drives me soft when they refuse to believe we know our own cycle. With DS my cycles were about 3 months, regular but you know, 90 odd days lol.

Midwife nearly had kittens at how far I was, booked me in for 12 weeks scan at which I was just about 7!! I had told her. She didn't care - computer had said 11!!
Sonographer passed a comment about how early I was, I do wonder if she thought I'd lied for an early scan!

anitagreen · 29/05/2019 17:14

@DaisyMay25 I'm 8+1 now but the cramps are getting worse they are taking my breath away when they come really hope everything's okay.

DiddyRebel · 29/05/2019 17:24

Hello,

Can I join please? I'm expecting #2 on 23rd January Smile

TheOnlyMrsA · 29/05/2019 17:28

Does anyone have Sciatica type pain 😩 my right but cheek is giving me jib - first baby (hopefully) do this is now xox

Lauraloop1516 · 29/05/2019 17:31

Goodness me! Just on the bus home from work. Irrationally angry and the many, many, many smokers who insisted on standing beside me and breathing on me at the bus stop. I know they have no way of knowing - but just some consideration would be nice. Ack! I'm only turning 5 weeks tomorrow - it's going to be a long nine months! Hmm

mynameisMrG · 29/05/2019 17:39

Welcome and congratulations to all the new ladies 😊

I have forced myself to be active today. Sat at my sewing machine and actually forced down some fruit. It’s made me feel so much better. I did have a three hour nap this morning but still proud of myself for not dozing on the sofa all day!

DaisyMay25 · 29/05/2019 17:40

@anitagreen perhaps try calling the EPU? Cramps are normal but not if they're causing that much pain.

@Lauraloop1516 I know what you mean! I had to keep moving away from smokers. It's worse that I work at a DT and sometimes people are smoking! I just get someone else to serve them.

@TheOnlyMrsA oh no! I've got physio on monday for my sciatica, I'll let you know of any stretches!

@DiddyRebel welcome! How old is DC1?
