Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Hi checking in to the new thread! I'm 35, first baby, and due date is somewhere between 3rd and 13th January (unclear as had very irregular cycles and was actually on the fertility treatment wait list so a super exciting surprise!)

plipliop · 14/05/2019 17:58

I'm 36 and I'm 6 weeks pg today.
Due 7th January with number 3.
Two boys already aged 11 and 9!

MrsH497 · 14/05/2019 17:59

@Bentley111 home on 21st. I'm hoping it's something other than the pregnancy causing the spotting a polyp on my cervix or something similar

anitagreen · 14/05/2019 18:08

Hey @Missmonkeypenny I'm also due the 8th! This will be my 3rd I have one of each so far. Congratulations

Seahawk80 · 14/05/2019 18:30

Just checking in on the new thread! Always think it's so interesting reading everyone's reasons to find out / not find out the sex! We both wanted a surprise last time and I always thought I would find out the second time but actually not knowing really gave me something to look forward to in the last few weeks and as we know it will be a c section this time it's so nice to not know. My sisters both had planned c sections and the one that didn't find out it was so exciting and the one that did it was like she's having a boy, on Wednesday... obviously they are not having a baby for my excitement but I def think we'll have another surprise. I really don't care what we have, I love the idea of 2 boys and equally a girl would be nice. That said I used the only boy name I liked on DS so I'll have to trawl through the baby name books!

Gorillaandme · 14/05/2019 18:55

@Seahawk80 this is my other reason for wanting another girl. Me and my husband both agree on a list of girls names but when it comes to boys names we hate the names the other one likes so no idea what we would name him 😆

plipliop · 14/05/2019 18:57

I don't think we will find out. We didn't with the boys. I can only really imagine myself with boys now and I'm pretty sure that this will be my third!

I find boys names really hard.

primarywoodle · 14/05/2019 18:58

Hiya not caught up with new thread yet but sorry to hear about all of the ladies with angel babies too. It takes away the innocence of pregnancy a bit - always have to hide my sceptical eyes when people announce even at 12 weeks as sadly ive been in the position where that isnt "safe" either but i know iabu about that.

In terms of finding out i didnt find out with dd and the moment that my dh handed her over and told me "its a girl" was the most magical moment of my life so deffo wont find out this time either!
I know other people though that were so delighted to find out at scans so i think its personal preference really.

Will catch up with the new thread now!

Bayleyf · 14/05/2019 19:05

Hello ladies! I'm 6+4 with No1 and absolutely exhausted!

Seahawk80 · 14/05/2019 19:06

@primarywoodle my DH was meant to tell me the sex and then the surgeon said "he's got a Winnie" luckily I'm not precious and we still laugh about it now 😂

Seahawk80 · 14/05/2019 19:06

That should say "he's got a winkie "

SMiles14 · 14/05/2019 19:09

Hi ladies can I join please?! Grin i’m 28 and this is my first, found out on Sunday and EDD is 26th January. Main symptom is just overwhelming tiredness but other than that I feel good Smile

SleepingStandingUp · 14/05/2019 19:10

We didn't ffind out with DS because of this "magical moment of surprise". He was EMCS 5 weeks early and nearly died. Sex was incidental info in between waiting anxiously for a cry and not understanding that the one cry wasn't enough before they stole him away.
Assuming no medical issues at the anomoly scan, I'd quite like to find out calmly and be able to enjoy it.

Orangefish02 · 14/05/2019 19:17

Hi everyone, I’m 31, EDD around Jan 8th. This is #1 so all new to me! Trying not to be excited yet... I don’t have many symptoms, just tiredness, getting hungry quickly, and gone off sweet things! Was really thirsty for a bit but that seems to have gone away. Lovely to hear all your experiences as I can’t talk to anyone else about it yet x

motherofadragon · 14/05/2019 19:32

We found out with our son, and I think we will again this time. We’re completely stumped with boys names as we used our two favourites up with DS, so having a girl would be easier on that front. But I don’t mind either way

Cannyhandleit · 14/05/2019 19:38

Hi guys, baby number 3 due 13th jan but I will more than likely have a planned section a wee bit earlier! Feeing ok so far just very very thirsty and tired this week!

Cannyhandleit · 14/05/2019 19:41

We never found out the sex of our boys and I loved finding out when the surgeon held them up. I want to wait again this time but DP is already saying he wants to find out!

mynameisMrG · 14/05/2019 19:41

Oh my goodness @SleepingStandingUp what an awful stressful experience for you!

Just catching up on the new thread!

EDD 14th Jan with first baby.

Been pretty tired today so had a nap. Back to work tomorrow so afternoon sleeps will be over 😭. Really fancied a McDonald's but now feel pretty guilty for eating it!

Had a call off the midwife this morning because the surgery had been so terrible sorting out my appointment. I was told she'd call me last Tuesday she was told to call me this Thursday!! She's going to raise it with the practice manager because it was a pretty anxious few days.

Pinacollider · 14/05/2019 20:05

Hi all! Can I please join. I'm 30, have one DD age 3.5. I had a MC before DD though so this is my third pregnancy. We've been trying for number 2 for over 18 months. So we were very very pleased to finally get a BFP! At the min think EDD should be 17th January.

Midwife should be calling me tomorrow to arrange booking in appt. I'm soooo anxious at the minute though. Constantly stressing that the pregnancy isn't progressing and I'll get to my 12 week scan and have a MMC. I'm going to request an early reassurance scan. Had one with DD.

Will anybody else be having an early scan? Whether NHS or private? I'm 100% having private if can't get one in the hospital.

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 14/05/2019 20:38

@Pinacollider we have the same EDD 🙂 (for now anyway), congratulations on your pregnancy! I think I will book an early scan for around 8 or 9 weeks, I will be way too anxious come 12 weeks otherwise.

Pinacollider · 14/05/2019 20:58

Monika is this your first pregnancy? Is such a long wait isn't it. It's not even been a week since our BFP and already feels like forever.
Will you be telling any friends /family early? Don't think we will. Maybe at 10 weeks or so at the earliest

Chips84 · 14/05/2019 21:38

I'm due 19th Jan, baby # 1

Lyssa91 · 14/05/2019 21:52

5+4! I'm due January 10 ❤️ this is my first so I have no idea what to expect or what I'm doing!

Cherrio · 14/05/2019 22:06

Hi Smile thanks for doing this. I am 7w, due 1st Jan.
