@Jowd92 growth spurts are the most expensive things ever! 😂
Hopefully though when baby arrives and they get a bit older (12 months apart) one will be growing out and one will be growing in so essentially it might work out lol (hoping)
Ohhh I bet your house is wonderful at Christmas time! I love how exited kids get around Christmas they're just so full of energy and fun 🎄

lovebeingmum9 · 03/11/2019 15:33

codenameduchess · 03/11/2019 16:14

Ive just ordered this, to go with the elf suit and festive Nordic PJs (DD has matching ones!).

DD has also said she will write to Santa for the baby so he knows to bring it a present 💔😭

@lovebeingmum9 was in Asda tonight and bought one of those! Too cute and I don't mind £6 for something that's not going to get much use. Pretty sure I have all the clothes I need now, bought some extra all in ones for him because that'll be the easiest things to put him in to start with.
I haven't been in here much as I'm now pretty sure I'll have a November baby not a December one as I'm going to opt for a ELCS because he's becoming very big and may well be transverse. Glad to see everyone is doing ok.
@codenameduchess not long at all for you now then! I haven't packed my hospital bags either...

smitch82 · 03/11/2019 20:34

So I have had a bit of a shocker. My waters went last night at around 6pm and I have been kept in hospital since as I am in the latent stages of labor. It is not really moving so getting induced tomorrow around 4/5 weeks early (due date was the 5th Dec).

It is exciting to know I get to see my little boy early but scary as all happened so out of the blue and so early. It is our first so not got a clue what to expect at all... argh!!!!

December2019 · 03/11/2019 20:59

@smitch82 omg that is a shocker! Ohh it's so exiting you get to meet your little boy, wishing you all the best... you've gave me a little push to get things in my hospital bag now, don't know what's around the corner these babies come when they're good and ready lol

lazybutton · 03/11/2019 21:16

@smitch82 OMG! That is a shocker Shock. How are you feeling? All the best for tomorrow. Hope you get some rest tonight.

Certainly will give me a kick up the bum!

lovebeingmum9 · 03/11/2019 21:18

hey @smartcarnotsosmartdriver aww i couldn't resist it....nice pic of our babies under the tree wrapped like a present! its got to be done 😂
Have you got a date booked in for you caesarean? please keep us posted as looks like a few of us could end up with November babies instead! 😊

@smitch82
wow good luck! how exciting.......look forward to hearing the good news and hope your labour goes really well! what a shocker that must be (I'm due 3rd dec) and can't imagine mine coming anytime soon! lol xx

smitch82 · 03/11/2019 21:48

@December2019 @lovebeingmum9 @lazybutton thanks I would definitely recommend getting organised as you never know what is round the corner!

Will keep you all posted, hopefully with some exciting news!!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 03/11/2019 21:50

@Beaglemum93 no date yet, they won't give me one until 39 weeks so unless he decides to put in an appearance before then it'll all happen quite fast. I assumed a December baby at the start as it's common to go over with your first. I borrowed a wheelchair from Asda and got to go and look at loads of things, had way more fun than I should going round a supermarket.
@smitch82 I can imagine it's quite a surprise! I was born at 36 weeks and mum says other than the fact I had no bum cheeks I was absolutely fine. Let us know how you and your wee one get on.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 03/11/2019 22:03

Sorry that should have been @lovebeingmum9

Funnybunnyfluff · 04/11/2019 00:59

@smitch82

Thinking of you, hope everything goes well.

Finished our NCT last week and first baby born on Friday... early also. Hospital bag is getting packed ASAP.

smitch82 · 04/11/2019 04:52

@Funnybunnyfluff yes, I would recommend packing ASAP... I am sure it won't happen to you but always be on the safe side x

lovebeingmum9 · 04/11/2019 05:57

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver ah not far off now....have the consultants agreed to a cs because of size or are they waiting for your final scan/consultation before they book you in? if I get any bigger then I think an asda wheelchair would be a good idea lol getting so out of breath and much slower lately! 😂

@codenameduchess sorry hun forgot to comment because of all the excitement....how lovely that lil grinch outfit is! so much cuteness at Christmas 😊
@smitch82 good luck for today and thanks for heads up.....my bag is packed but I suppose I will shave my legs etc a bit more than usual now in case I'm caught short 😂

December2019 · 04/11/2019 06:04

@lovebeingmum9 haha I can only shave up to the shins 😂

December2019 · 04/11/2019 06:08

Speaking of shaving anyone really sensitive.. I have to use men's sensitive razors otherwise I get rashes now 😂

@smitch82 Any news on induction... I know it's early but I'm really exited 😂

Jowd92 · 04/11/2019 06:42

Wow @smitch82 good luck to you look forward to seeing your special news, I also struggle with shaving and I've given up painting my toes now I cant reach day of appointments for me today nervous for the growth scan hope little man has put on what he should have in the last 2 weeks fingers crossed

JayDot500 · 04/11/2019 06:50

@smitch82 OMG! That's an eye opener right there, you're probably around the same gestation as me, I'll get to packing! I wish you all the best with induction and labour. You'll be our first, I'm excited Smile

Re shaving; I'd decided to go natural until around 38 weeks, but after the news that one of us has gone into labour, I'm going to tackle it all today Grin

codenameduchess · 04/11/2019 07:38

Good luck with your induction @smitch82 these babies keep their own schedules, that must have been a huge shock!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 04/11/2019 09:37

@lovebeingmum9 spoke to the consultant just over a week ago and she wasn't overly concerned by his size (7lb 1oz at 34 weeks). She at the moment would have been happy for me to go for a vaginal delivery. I raised my concerns which she said were valid. She basically said at the end of the day it's my choice. She told me the risks of a section (although the risks of vaginal delivery have never been covered). They're also waiting to find out if he is transverse which would change things too. I have another appointment with the consultant at 38+1 and provided he's still in there I'll tell them I want an ELCS. I'm so anxious at the thought of him getting stuck and sustaining permanent damage after all these months of pain and discomfort.
Wheelchair was great by the way. I've been on crutches for months for PGP and hadn't actually been able to look round a whole shop, it was more get the 3 things you need and leave immediately.

lovebeingmum9 · 04/11/2019 09:42

haha glad im not alone with the shaving troubles! also my belly seems to have dropped a little bit now.....
Good luck for all with scans and appointments this week!
@jowd92 let us know how yours goes today....hopefully babies put on 😊

lovebeingmum9 · 04/11/2019 10:03

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver yeah I can understand your concerns,7lb 1oz is quite a size at 34wks considering that's almost the average birth weight at full term 40wks.....at my 28wk growth scan he was 2lb 11oz and at my 32wk scan he was 4lb 11oz so if he puts on another 2lb every 4 weeks I'm guessing he should be around 6lb 11oz @36wks and around 8lb11oz/9lb at 40wks? have they been able to give you an estimated birth weight or can you tell from his weight gain from your scans? I don't blame you being anxious, there is no easy option or choice it's all a worry isn't it!
oh no bless you,bet you will be hitting January sales with vengeance once your off your crutches! lol

Jowd92 · 04/11/2019 10:42

@lovebeingmum9 thank you I will let you know later how it goes, my bump seems to have not grown but hopefully he has put on some weight and then will see what consultant says to me

Jowd92 · 04/11/2019 12:59

So had my scan and little man has put on weight lovely now roughly 4lb 4oz and he had hiccups on the scan so cute although he did alot of moving didnt like having the scanning machine on him they said his a very active baby not got another scan now until 4 weeks time they will then check his growth again

lovebeingmum9 · 04/11/2019 13:22

@Jowd92 that's brilliant and bet your releaved now 😊 was this your 32wk scan? if so that's a nice weight.....does it mean you might not need an induction as long as baby keeps putting on?
