@JayDot500 yep! I've had about 2 hours sleep and then I finally got slightly comfortable and then my 10 month old decided he wanted to climb all over me and play "let's poke mummy in the eyes while laughing hysterically"
My own fault putting him in bed with me at 4:30 😂

JayDot500 · 19/10/2019 09:44

@December2019 haha! They do have their own unique ways of waking mummy up. My son has appreciated my growing breasts; he comes into my bed most mornings, gets me to lay in such a way so that he can rest his head on them and jiggles his head so they jiggle. I don't know if I should be worried or not 😂

December2019 · 19/10/2019 09:48

@JayDot500 they're funny little things aren't they boys! 😂
Mine likes to stroke my face like a little gentleman and when I'm not expecting it he tries to shove his hand up my nose! Or tries to pull my nose ring out.... who'd have em! 😂💙
Your little one sounds lovely & cuddly!
How old is he? X

JayDot500 · 19/10/2019 09:59

You nose is Narnia to him haha Grin I looove when my son strokes my face (usually when he's sleepy). Those is definitely the best moments I've enjoyed since having him.

DS is now three, so not too little. He only cuddles on his own terms. I usually have to shamelessly bribe beg for a cuddle when he's not tired Blush. I'll take what I can get for now!

December2019 · 19/10/2019 10:09

@JayDot500 it really is narnia 😂
Aww 3 is a lovely age!
See I keep telling myself I'm bloody mad having mine so close together I'm due on my little boys 1st birthday (please don't come on your due date) I do not need 2 birthdays 2 days before Christmas 😂😂

Jowd92 · 19/10/2019 10:19

My little one is 14 months he woke me this morning by throwing his juice cup at my head the Joy's lol! He has started to show my bump some love tho he will be playing and just come along and feel and kiss my belly it's so lovely not sure it will stay that way tho Haha is anyone else getting really nervous about the birth or is it just me even tho I've done it 3 times before I get so nervous like it's the first time all over again and I always tear and need stitches which is what worries me most and also having mine so close they have said it's more then likely I will also tear again 😖😩

JayDot500 · 19/10/2019 10:52

@December2019 as they say, short term headache, (much much) longer term gain! Gather your strength and tap into your support, you'll get through it Smile

@jowd92 yep, I'm starting to get flashes of 'oh shit, I have to go through all that pain first' after any day dreams I have about baby. I've still not approached packing a hospital bag. Sorry to hear that you fear the tearing. I tore last time but the gas and air (and jibberish I was saying) easily got me through the stitches stage. What scares you the most; actual tearing, stitching bit or lingering pain afterward? At least the first two are short lived, the third one; maybe you'd benefit from having a chat to your midwife/GP and talk about pain management.

Jowd92 · 19/10/2019 11:03

@jaydot500 I haven't even started a hospital bag either I've made a list that's about it I only have gas and air and it does help I think what scares me the most is tearing again and they keep saying to me the more tears the less the skin tends to heal back together properly I've had 3 lots of tears now my first was 3rd /4th degree and ended up with surgery to repair and a total of 32 stitches then my last 2 births have both been 2nd degree with stitches again i think its just the idea of it I manage quite well after birth dont know about this time as having 2 so close I've always had big age gaps I mean my eldest is 10 then 7 and 14 months

December2019 · 19/10/2019 11:19

@JayDot500 yeah that's very true! I can't help but be nervous though I'm actually terrified lol
I'm a little worried about labour, I had a very long labour with my son which ended in assisted delivery (not gonna go into detail as don't wanna worry FTMs)
The healing wasn't pleasant!
I suffer with anxiety anyway which doesn't help lol

December2019 · 19/10/2019 11:19

I haven't stared a hospital bag either 🤭🤭

lovebeingmum9 · 19/10/2019 12:28

Hi all....funnily enough my nerves have got the better of me and ive made a start packing my hospital bag today, glad I have as have missed so many things out! lol I'm starting to go into a panic mode now I'm approaching the 34wk mark.....also had 3 previous Labour's and my children (7,5 & 2) but gone back to novice stage and staring confused at which sanitary pads to get for far too long! 🤣 lol

aliensprig · 19/10/2019 20:03

@JayDot500 currently a whopping zero positions comfortable to sleep in, and I'm not even quite 30 weeks yet 😂 so I feel your pain! I find whenever I turn onto a different side (can't comfortably lie on my back even if I could!), bab wakes up and starts partying... While the husband sleeps on 😭

Also no hospital bag packed or even thought about yet here, but not quite as far along as some of you, plus feel like if I pack a bag that will somehow jinx my plan to have a home birth :(

lazybutton · 19/10/2019 21:18

Hey ladies!

Another late joiner 👋 due on 17th December. Currently the size of a small car and completely unprepared!

Funnybunnyfluff · 20/10/2019 03:58

Welcome @lazybutton im due 19/12.

Same sleeping issue, 4am and I'm awake. Also find as soon as I turn over it's as if I wake the baby 🙈. Party for 1 going on.

Hopefully I will get back to sleep x

December2019 · 20/10/2019 05:09

I've got a party for 2 going on... I'm sure my LO and baby communicate and wake each other up at the same time 😂

codenameduchess · 20/10/2019 08:40

@lovebeingmum9 I've had a panic too and started the hospital bag. DD was born at 37 weeks and I'm 34 weeks now 😮

I'm woken every day at 2:30am, I think DD is preparing us for the night feeds. Once I'm up for her baby goes crazy and I need to pee, then both cats think I'm up so go wild! All the whole DH is snoring away

lovebeingmum9 · 20/10/2019 09:04

hiya @Codenameduchess that sounds so familiar to me....I'm woken by baby at around 3am wriggling and then our 2yr old is up at 5:30am....then our dog is pestering me for an early breakfast before our other 2 wake at 6 and 7am so it's pretty chaotic 🤣 I also think it's preparing us for the night feeds....positive thinking! lol
oh wow might not be too much longer for you then if you go early again, exciting but daunting too!? the earliest I've had was with 3rd and he was 3 days early the other 2 were overdue by 3 & 13days.....my induction is booked for due date though, hopefully it will come round soon enough! 😊

codenameduchess · 20/10/2019 13:29

@lovebeingmum9 I'm secretly hoping baby does come closer to 37 weeks, fed up of work now and I feel so huge!

How exciting having your induction date!

lovebeingmum9 · 20/10/2019 14:01

yeah it's handy having it as will be able to prepare our other kids etc....get them in school before I go to hospital if it works out like that! when do you start your maternity? bet your excited to finish and get last bits sorted without having to think of work too! yeah I feel huge too...although get quite a mixture of people either saying I look 'big' or 'small' as if you want to hear either 🤣

codenameduchess · 20/10/2019 17:28

Right now I finish at 38 weeks, but it's been an awful few weeks at work so I'm thinking of bringing it forward just to get away. My DD is asking every day if the baby is going to pop out yet and how many more days until it does, it would be lovely to be able to give her a definitive answer haha

I was chatting to someone at a conference last week, total stranger who asked when I was due and then asked if it was twins when I said early December 😂 I'm now thinking the new born and up to 10lbs clothes we have won't be needed.

lovebeingmum9 · 20/10/2019 21:49

yeah don't blame you 4 more weeks if you take it at 38wks but even less if you take it early! Grin aw bless her...bet she's getting excited?! I Google how many days and it's 44days today! kids can't wait!
haha it's charming isn't it 🤣 me and hubby were dropping our youngest to nursery last week and a woman (spoke to a couple times briefly) asked how long I've got so I said 7wks and she said 'your not very big are you' I said I dunno baby weighs approx 4lb 11oz and she said 'aw going to be tiny then' ? so I said well he should weigh around 8lb 11ozish and explained how big our other son was at birth and no joke she asked me if I had given birth vaginally and I said yes to which she replied has it gone back to normal!? 😳 I laughed and said well ask him and jokingly pointed to my husband and.....she asked my husband if it had gone back to normal!!! thankfully my blushing hubby said yes but crikey what a conversation to have on a Fri morning! 🙈🤣

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 20/10/2019 22:29

@codenameduchess I feel your pain. I've pulled my mat leave forward a week and I have a weeks holiday to take. That means only a week left at work thank goodness!

December2019 · 21/10/2019 07:18

@lovebeingmum9 that made me chuckle! 😂😂 what a crazy woman!
When I was pregnant with my son a woman turned around in the bank and asked me outright if he was a planned pregnancy 🤭 I must have been that shocked I didn't even reply I just looked through her 😂

lovebeingmum9 · 21/10/2019 07:46

@December2019 it's crazy isn't it...like they have no filter at all! 😂 being this is our 4th I've grown quite used to it now 'you've got your hands full' 'was it planned' 'are you going to have anymore' but asking if it's gone back to normal was a new one for the book lol I like to think I've got a good sense of humour.....waiting for someone brave enough to ask if all my kids have the same father (which they do) but my answer will be 'nah they all have different dad's,in fact the youngest has a potential of 3' (just for my own kicks) 🤣

December2019 · 21/10/2019 07:59

@lovebeingmum9 that would be hilarious!! 😂😂 there are some cheeky fu*kers out there for sure!
What's everyone's plans for today?
I'm gonna try and get a few Christmas gifts and get the last of my LOs 1st birthday presents I think (hopefully) 👍
