Just been catching up on the news, lovely to see so many scan photos. It’s amazing. I can’t remember who said they were have twins but how exciting!! Slimming world sounds tempting, I don’t think I’m eating well at the moment and I went to the gym today and found it tougher than usual, plus jogging made my bladder jiggle!

Is anyone else looking forward to dressing up their babies in Christmas outfits? I’m a sucker for things like matching pjs and singing Christmas trees🎄

elephantmarch · 12/06/2019 20:11

@lovebeingmum9 this is also quite fun, not for children but for Dads.

Hi @elephantmarch hope your well, I'm with you on the not eating too well atm....I'm surprised any of my children turned out healthy as I didn't eat any fruit or veg in the whole pregnancies with them....following suit this time too unfortunately, but strangely i havnt gained any weight because of sickness Confused
yes so excited for December to come round.....little reindeer outfits etc can't wait!
and being at home with family...the most magical time of the year!
aw haha that's brilliant...going to show that to my hubby thanks!

JayDot500 · 13/06/2019 10:57

Is anyone feeling any flutters yet? Just around/either side of my belly button I feel what I can only attribute to possible movements. It's that odd feeling of pressure pushing against the skin of my stomach and I can't attribute that to wind. It doesn't last long and it's happened a few times now.

I'm almost 15 weeks and this is my second pregnancy. Just wondering 🤔

codenameduchess · 13/06/2019 10:57

I thought I'd passed the sickness just in time to go on holiday.... sadly not, on our way to breakfast this morning I threw up in a plant pot 🤦‍♀️ I'm now sat in the sun while dh is in the freezing pool with dd!

IHD83 · 13/06/2019 11:25

@JayDot500 I have the same feeling and it has been for a week or so. I am 15 weeks today and it’s also my second pregnancy. I feel it quite low in my abdomen, not very often though. But I know it’s the babies because I had the same feeling with my first baby and it doesn’t feel like wind :)

IHD83 · 13/06/2019 11:28

@codenameduchess Poor you! I hope it doesn’t last long and you can enjoy your holidays. I am also on holidays and I was scared about the sickness. Mine is more like visiting my partner’s family, so we are not doing too much.

JayDot500 · 13/06/2019 11:36

@IHD83 yay, it's not just me then! I feel stupid for thinking it's baby movements but I don't feel mistaken either. Reassuring to know someone else is experiencing it Smile

Last time it was around week 17 I felt anything, I think

December2019 · 13/06/2019 11:39

I've got an anterior placenta this time so my midwife said I might not feel anything until closer to 20 weeks 😩
With my little boy I was feeling movement from about 14 weeks he was very wiggly!
Still is haha

JayDot500 · 13/06/2019 11:52

@december2019 woah 20 weeks! Although I guess any movements before then are just bonuses anyway, since you shouldn't start counting them or anything. 20 weeks will soon be here, I feel time is passing by very quickly! 😃

Yes my son was, and is, very wriggly. He's three. His feet are rested on my leg right now, I'm like an extension of his skin or something. It's a fight trying to steer his wriggly self away from my stomach, thank God for massive pregnancy pillow fortresses for bedtime 😆

December2019 · 13/06/2019 12:00

@JayDot500 yesss it's going so quickly! I should have been 13+3 today but I got put back a week so I'm 12+3 instead I've got my scan today at 3:40 I can't wait
Wiggly boys are the best!
Mine is still only a baby yet he's only 6 months so he's constantly on me 😂... he's started trying to crawl so he's just exhausting at the moment he keeps making a beeline towards the radiator 🤭

lovebeingmum9 · 13/06/2019 12:18

@JayDot500
yes I've been feeling a few flutters over the last few weeks......I'm also 15 weeks but 4th pregnancy.
@codenamedutchess
aw I feel for you....a few weeks back we took our son to a play centre for his birthday (I ate 2 packs of salt and vinegar crisps in the car) hoping that would help but instead ended up being sick behind our car in the car park! I take a few nappy bags out with me now just in case I'm caught short lol hope that plant pot doesn't need repotting anytime soon 🤣
@December2019
aw that's a shame but will be worth the wait when you do feel them!
Our kids have been very wriggly too....2 of our kids had knots in their cords because of how much they moved! lol

20week scans aren't far away now....who's going to find out gender and who's waiting until the birth?

IHD83 · 13/06/2019 12:23

@December2019 good luck! Let us know how it went :)
My baby didn’t start crawling yet but he has intentions to do it soon. Plus he is soo heavy...8,5kg two weeks ago when I weighted him 😰

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 13/06/2019 13:44

Hiya, just had my 16 week appointment, our CUBs result came back low risk, 1 in 100,000 so I'm happy enough with that. Apparently I have a lovely high haemoglobin so I must be doing something right. They didn't have the whooping cough vaccine so I'm getting it at my 24 week appointment and I'll be meeting the consultant then too.

December2019 · 13/06/2019 19:33

Had my scan today still due on the 23rd December
Anyone any guesses on gender? Just for fun 😊

December 2019-Thread 2
elephantmarch · 13/06/2019 19:34

@JayDot500 definitely flutters. I lay on my stomach and got distinct feedback. @codenameduchess oh no sickness sounds terrible, I really hope it ends for you soon. @smartcarnotsosmartdriver good news! How’s your dh? @IHD83 you’re a brave lady but it will be fun having children so close In age

I have an extra scan tomorrow. I think the sonographer would be able to see gender tomorrow at 16 weeks but I’ll not to find out. This morning my boys were in bed with us for a cuddle and book and i thought “I love having boys “ then tonight they’ve spent most of the evening sword fighting and talking about jedis and i definitely thought “Lord let this one be a girl!”

agteacht · 13/06/2019 22:17

Hi all

Is anyone having flutters with their first baby? I didn't realise you could feel anything yet!

I am 15w today, and have appt with consultant next week. What does the 16w appointment normally entail?

And also does anyone have a pillow to help sleep on your side? Is it too early to get one yet?

fonxey · 14/06/2019 04:52

I thought i felt a flutter. But might just have been wind. It felt different to wind though. I was thinking "weird, feels like i have a mouse in my belly" then remembered in pregnant lol.

My placenta might be anterior as well. Try said it might be at my 10wk scan but i forgot to ask them to confirm at 12 weeks!

I had a huge salt and vinegar crisp craving yesterday... Well crisp craving. I did make sure to eat my sugar snap peas at dinner though. Something green and good.

It's anyone else taking omega 3 oil? I can't take the tablet, i have to take it as liquid and it is so gross. I hope my baby grows up to be a genius! I make my oh suffer with me by eating it too.

I'd anyone else finding sleeping hard? I constantly wake up. I hate sleeping on my side, on anywhere else but my front really. And then my bladder gets full or i have indigestion. And I'd normally cos ok with interrupted sleep but now i find it really hard to even function if I'm too sleepy.

I get really tired by evenings. But lately it just feels like every day is a struggle.

JayDot500 · 14/06/2019 13:15

@December2019 hello baby! I'm going to say boy Smile

@fonxey, the last few nights have been awful. I've not had the pillow for the last two nights (my son spilled juice on it) and I cannot settle on my side. My big U pillow does make it easier to lay on my side, but I do wake up on my back a lot Blush

Flutters are all around it seems! Soon to be distinctive, painful and alien like. But still, I'm sure we all can't wait! I feel the movements might help my son grasp the idea of the baby in my stomach. I've triiiied to explain but he now also thinks he has a baby in his stomach, and daddy Grin

Dotty143 · 14/06/2019 20:39

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well, I’ve not posted on here for a lonnnngggg time, I was really nervous before our 12 week scan I avoided google/forums as much as I could. all was well at our scan. I’m 15+5 today (Ed: 1st Dec!) and have started to feel much more human now in the last few days after weeks and weeks of nausea. I’m hoping I’m in for a nice few months now🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’ve just emailed to join the Facebook group, I’d love to see how everyone is getting on. X

Spicey08 · 14/06/2019 21:07

Please could I have details of how to join the Facebook group? 😊

Beaglemum93 · 15/06/2019 16:08

For anyone looking to join the facebook group, just email [email protected] and one of us will add you :)

fonxey · 16/06/2019 00:37

Is anyone else getting slight nose bleeds? It's only when i blow my nose. I'm at my pil and I'm allergic to their dog so sniffing and blowing my nose a lot

fonxey · 16/06/2019 00:58

Also, today on way home from telling my mum (i think is have got a better response if I'd told her someone'd died... Is certainly how she acted!)

I felt suddenly short of breath and now suddenly my boobs are veiny, watch i know are both symptoms of pregnancy but it seemed to happen very suddenly. No veins in the morning. I mean testbed been a bit veiny but this send really stark.

Worried i need a bigger bra. I went up a size but now still popping out. I did buy myself maternity bras a while ago but i don't like them much and haven't tried them on since.. Plus I've grown since. I miss my old boobs!
