Great pic @Emmilou82 ! Its lovely seeing them rolling and bouncing around isn't it 😍

@lovebeingmum9 I use the ovia app and have it set to 'fun and games' so it tells you how big baby is in toys and shows how big their hands and feet are- my dd loves it! 15 weeks today and it's the size of a pack of crayons, last week it was a troll doll.

PickledEgg89 · 10/06/2019 11:04

Lovely scan picture @Emmilou82 😍
12+3 here today and I have my scan tomorrow morning. So excited and nervous! We need to take the 18 month old with us and the letter says no children will be allowed in 🙈 so we're just going to wing it and see what happens!
Good luck with all the other scans this week!

lovebeingmum9 · 10/06/2019 11:12

@December2019 bet your excited for thursday, will soon be round!

@Emmilou82 aw congrats! lovely to see them moving around,it's magical!

@Codenamedutchess will have to look that up...kids would love it! lol our due dates must be very close....mines 3rd of Dec?

@Pickledegg89 good luck for tomorrow! we've had to take toddlers with us before....normally they will have bits in waiting room...books,toys etc or could come into room if in buggy? a sticker book works a treat though Wink

codenameduchess · 10/06/2019 11:15

@lovebeingmum9 2nd December for me. kids will love the ovia app. My dd likes to check how big the baby's hands and feet are 😂

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 10/06/2019 12:08

Morning everyone, been a busy week or so here. Congrats to everyone who's had their scans, it's getting exciting! I've just discovered I have my 16 week appointment on Thursday, I know I'll be getting a whooping cough vaccination but what else happens at 16 weeks? DH is working but I don't think there's anything he'd be upset he missed out on?

lovebeingmum9 · 10/06/2019 13:09

@Codenameduchess aw i bet she does, how old is your daughter? wow we are very close then.....exciting! although I've previously gone overdue twice 3 days and 13 days and then was 3 days early with our youngest.... so could go either was this time! lol
@smartcarnotsosmartdriver
hiya, i think it's just those? I am booked in for the whooping cough and midwife app but i will be 17wks when they happen....isn't there a flu vaccination too which I think you can have at same time as the whooping cough?

codenameduchess · 10/06/2019 13:59

@lovebeingmum9 she's 3, 4 next month, its worked out nicely she'll be at school when this one arrives.

I'd forgot all about the whooping cough vaccine... best book that in haha

Just been to visit a friend's newborn and OMG she is soooo squishy! I really don't remember dd being that tiny!

lovebeingmum9 · 10/06/2019 15:33

@Codenameduchess
aw lovely age and great timing! she will be off making new friends at school....without feeling pushed out by new baby! Ours always went to nursery before new baby and did them the world of good.....our youngest will start nursery in Sept so a bit of time inbetween for me and hubby to go cinema or out for few meals before new arrival!
aww bet that was lovely having new born cuddles.....we've never experienced real tiny babies, ours have always been quite chunky haha but it's strange reverting back to newborn when you've got used to toddlers size!

Emmilou82 · 10/06/2019 16:57

Ladies, I'm amazed and hugely shocked at how much weight I've gained in total but in the last 3 weeks I've whacked it on! Now I know some of it is going to be fluid and can't help that but seriously I've gained over a stone in 3 months!!!!! I just can't stop eating and really need to stop this spiralling out of control! From tomorrow I'm going to follow slimming world as much as I can it's just sometimes I really don't want fruit and veg I want crap!!! Anyone any advice?

fonxey · 10/06/2019 18:52

Had my scan. They bumped me a day ahead! Now 13+4 which is great, everything is on track. He or she looks so much bigger. I can't believe it! Especially now I've just looked back on my 10wk scan. He has done now and toes. I wish i could see him again, i can't get enough of seeing him move about.

He didn't want to let them do measurements either. Was determined to not turn. Stubborn!

And i could see his nose and mouth... Naaawww.

LauraLooDerby · 10/06/2019 19:41

@fonxey how exciting! I think we're due at about the same time - 12th?

@Emmilou82 OMG.
I am eating beige food!! I keep kidding myself it's a baby bump but in reality it is 100% fat 😂
I was also looking at slimming world as it's healthy and varied food... I also have all the books etc as I did it before.
So I'm in with you!!

ELJ1502 · 10/06/2019 20:01

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking about for a while until my 12 week scan. Anyway I finally got to see a healthy baby this afternoon so decided to finally say hello.

I'm 12+2 with a due date of 21st December. I've noticed this is the same as others.

We had a very wiggly baby, arms and legs were everywhere, but we got some lovely pictures.

December2019 · 10/06/2019 20:02

Omg girls your all making me so exited to meet this little Christmas baby 😍 🎄
I was looking online the other day at Christmas throws & pillows 😂 that was my favourite bit last year getting the house all cosy & chrismassy for my little one
And yesss to beige food! And chocolate 🍫

fonxey · 10/06/2019 20:22

@LauraLooDerby yay due date buddy!

Iluuurve beige food. Going to eat 2 scones now. With butter. It has for though so healthy. Yes?

Spicey08 · 10/06/2019 21:56

So exciting seeing so many scans!

Anybody else got the 10th as their due date?

Also those with toddler age older siblings, how did you go about telling them? We have started to tell my LB but he’s in total denial about it all. He will be 3 in August and we have recently moved him out of the room with the cot in, into a larger room with his new bed which he loves, and iv tried explaining their will be a new baby but he just says no haha

Emmilou82 · 11/06/2019 06:03

@LauraLooDerby I'm glad I'm not alone ha ha ha.... it's so difficult isn't it! I'm going to try though. Who knows, I might Level out in the 2nd trimester 😬 or is that just wishful thinking lol ?

Congratulations and welcome @ELJ1502, we have the same due date too!
And @fonxey 😀

Exciting times 🥰

francesca26 · 11/06/2019 09:54

@Spicey08 I am due on 10th December as well!

PickledEgg89 · 11/06/2019 16:46

Scan went well this morning, little one didn't get to come in so husband had to stay outside with her. All was good though and my due date has changed from the 20th to the 17th which makes me 13 weeks today!
Hope everyone is good!

Hi @Pickledegg89
Congrats that's a lovely scan pic!
all good except for sickness bringing me downConfused....bring on 20wk scans!

PickledEgg89 · 11/06/2019 18:05

@lovebeingmum9 I hear you, HG is still kicking my butt so the scan has helped ease it a bit! Hopefully the 20 week scans fly in x

ELJ1502 · 11/06/2019 18:56

@Emmilou82 thank you and to you too!

Spicey08 · 11/06/2019 22:16

Francesca - yay! Happy to have a due date buddy 😊

6 weeks till 20 week scan I’m so excited to see baby (nicknamed cake baby as I feel huge already!) again!

Emmilou82 · 12/06/2019 06:01

Lovely scan @PickledEgg89, what a shame your LO wasn't allowed in.

peamad · 12/06/2019 14:05

@PickledEgg89 we had the same issue, so our 2yo couldnt come in with us. Luckily we anticipated it and my mum had come to keep an eye on her, just in case, so my DH was able to see the scan.

My due date has been revised - to 25th December! Haha. I am taking that as reassurance that I won't be in labour on Christmas Day as babies never arrive on their due dates lol. Feeling very relieved to have had a healthy scan, after losing a baby in January. Next stop for us will be an extra scan at 18 weeks to look for abnormalities.

peamad · 12/06/2019 14:06

PS I have also now signed up with an independent midwife who will be looking after me for the remainder of my pregnancy and in labour.
