@Issywizzybelle welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy, wishing you well.

@Emmilou82 , I'm also 12 weeks today and have scan on Monday. Feeling good, slightly nervous but a lot better than I have been feeling.

@fonxey , totally on the "full belly" front. It's not like stuffed after eating or anything like that. Even on an empty stomach I feel this fullness. I was wondering if it could be the fuller uterus that I'm feeling.

Must be. Being a ftm everything seems weird and new. I always wondered what begging pregnant would feel like. I hope it stays to feel more normal. The thing I'm finding hardest is my body not feeling like my own (i mean i expected it wouldn't but i thought I'd cope better). I realise i really don't like having to feel my body. Usually i go around blissfully ignoring it if you know what i mean, taking it fully for granted.

@Emmilou82 I had my NHS scan with blood test on 28 May and haven't had the result through yet

Thank you @agteacht, that's well over a week then?! I'll ask them on Monday but I wonder if we can assume no news is good news?!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this! Just had my first scan yesterday 😀 a very wiggly baby! Do you have a Facebook page I can join?

@Emmilou82 yes! If they find something you get a call in 2-4 days and if it's all good you get a letter within a couple of weeks. That's my hospitals timeline at least but I'd assume it's pretty similar 🙂

Thanks all for views on 12 week. Harmony included a scan which dated us and checked for heartbeat so risk of mc should be less than 1%, statistically. But hey, I may as well wait another week for the 12 week scan before going public.

@fonxey you are the opposite to me! Going my LMP date I should be 14+3 but when I went for my scan they put me back a week so currently 13+4. Been feeling very odd today, belly feels stretched/bloated and almost achy it’s very strange and I don’t remember feeling this with my first! But I also didn’t start showing till 20+ weeks with my first and it’s currently getting bigger every day! Also swear I can feel the odd flutter and kicking but feel like I’m going mad 🤣

I had my scan on the 28th and had the results through within a week which was crazy quick and all came back low risk so feel I can relax a teeny bit (although not with an almost 3 year old keeping me on my toes!)

Hi everyone! I’ve been a bit out if this thread for a while as I am following facebook group mainly. For the mums who are not on facebook, a quick update. I had my 12 weeks scan on 28th of May and they saw two babies!! They are identical twins and everything looked all right. It was quite shocking for us and we are slowly adjusting to the idea of being a big family.

I had my scan and I'm a week behind what they thought so I'm 12 weeks Monday I have my next 12 week scan on Thursday there is only 1 in there
I can't believe your having twins I bet that was such a shock but it will be amazing I'm sure xx

@December2019 Congrats and good luck on your next scan! So what’s your new EDD?

It will be amazing and intense haha! Three babies in less than a year 😱

@IHD83 it will be amazing! So worth it when they're all old enough to play together and do things 😍 Christmas in your house is gonna be fab!
My new EDD is the 23rd... my LOs birthday 😂😂

@December2019 Well yes! I know what you mean. I was in labour from 24 to 26 last Christmas 🙈

So they didn’t exist for me at all, but the best gift was my baby 😉

So what's your EDD?
You usually go earlier with twins don't you?
Are you having a c-section I'm going eu natural... (well hopefully)

@December2019 I understand you, it would be nice to enjoy your first baby’s birthday properly. But you might be able to make it, as it’s unlikely to happen on your due date. And considering it’s your second, you might go to labour earlier :)

Mine is 5th December but it will be earlier as you said, because of twins. I read twins don’t go more than the 37 weeks, so I think I will end up giving birth on November. It will be a cesarean as doctors recommend it when twins are sharing one placenta and if I had a complicated birth previously with one single baby.
I haven’t talked to any doctor about it yet but I have an appointment on July and I imagine they will tell me how to do.

Has anyone told work yet? I was going to wait longer but think I will need to tell them next week as my manager just announced she is going on secondment and the manager who will be covering her has quite a low eq and isn’t likely to agree to me having four day weeks towards the end :( so will have to sort out before my current manager goes!

@Starrynights86 I told my boss at 5 weeks because I had sterilisation reversal I need a few extra early scans to rule out ectopic etc. She's a good friend anyway and I just couldn't mask my tiredness..... she to,d HR a couple of weeks later but it's not public knowledge in the office until after my scan tomorrow.

Morning folks....I've got my 12 week scan today at 8.40. Is it normal to feel excited yet scared?
I know there are a few of us with scans today so best wishes to all of us 🥰

I'm 15wks tomorrow...seem to be having 2 days of horrendous sickness followed by 2 really good days with none! kids keep asking how baby is and how big he is this week...the size of an orange apparently lol hope everyone else is doing well.

Baby doing well..... new EDD is 21st December so a day later than initially thought. Little monkey kept rolling over so we couldn't get measurements for ages lol
