pebblemum give my love to Buffy, I hope that everything is OK. Not sure if this will give any comfort or not but a similar thing happen to my sister when she was pregnant at about the same time and they thought she was going to give birth at about 30 weeks but things settled down and she ended up going over her due date and my nephew was over 9lbs in the end, so sending positive vibes to Buffy

alicet · 19/07/2007 18:46

Pebblemum ? please pass on very best wishes and big hugs to buffy. Sounds like a very stressful time for her and her family. I?m thinking of her and hope all is well with them both.

Greedy ? well with you on people misinterpreting research. That?s another reason why I found her so annoying I think. She didn?t seem to have any views of her own and just churned out loads of cr*p from google! Hope your building work finishes soon. We are going to get an extension too but it will be after this lo arrives. Going to move out and rent while its being done though to avoid madness!

Chat later ladies?. Off to cook tea!

mellow2 · 19/07/2007 19:04

I'm the one who's selling the Amby nest to Lisa. I've e-mailed misdee. Thanks for the message.

dal21 · 19/07/2007 19:18

Buffy - get lots of rest. Here is hoping the LO holds on a while longer! Hope Lisa is doing ok too.

The FAS thread has caused such a ruckus it is unbelievable! Think there is a smoking one too which may have gone a similar route (think everyone was riled after the FAS one)..so the poor OP apologised.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok - I slept badly last night, so am hoping tonight will be lots of zzz's. Am longing for my bed already!

alicet · 19/07/2007 19:21

Sorry to hear Lisa isn't well either.... Thinking of you honey and hope you get better soon.... Big hugs and get well vibes!

Deary me we're dropping like flies! Hope this doesn't come in 3's!

Bum I'm going to have to go look at the FAS thread now aren't I?!!!!!!

muppetgirl · 19/07/2007 19:29

can you post a link to the thread as i fancy a peek

dal21 · 19/07/2007 19:29

LOL Alicet - we are addicted to the AIBU thread! Must stay away!

dal21 · 19/07/2007 19:31

here you are muppet

FAS

alicet · 19/07/2007 19:40

Yes dal - started to read it backwards, got through about 20 messages all which were very reasonable but could feel myself getting riled again and I hadn't even found anything of Leati's!! So I am stepping away from the computer and cooking my dinner!!!!

Good luck!

nellieloula · 19/07/2007 19:49

pebblemum, please pass on lots of luck to buffy, what a shock that must have been for her- and also positive thoughts to Lisa. Hope everyone else is ok and getting some rest and having a good night, when not going mad on the AIBU threads that is!!

FloriaTosca · 19/07/2007 20:52

Poor Buffy! Pebblemum, Please tell her I'm sorry she has had such a scare, but am glad that they are confident enough to send her home and am thinking about her and the LO and hoping it all stays settled down for several more weeks.

Poor Lisa too! It certainly sounds like the GTT didnt agree with her but at least they have caught it before it set her off having contractions too! I do hope she is better and home again soon too.

We have been lucky;...our builders have done a fab job, cleared up the mess, vacuumed and even put the furniture back for me! (I was going to wait for DH to get home)...I dont even want to put the curtains back up, I just want to gaze at my lovely new french doors unadorned! Sorry you have been having a tough time of it Greedy, I've not read the book but you certainly got the gist of it over ...It will all soon be over and just think how wonderful it is going to be in the end!(provided that they have actually done the work of course)

j20baby · 19/07/2007 21:47

evening everyone,

lisa sorry that your not well, hope your getting a good rest and they're looking after you if your still in hospital

buffy i hope you have your feet up and are being waited on.

mrsfish-thanks very much, thats really nice of you, if they don't fit,i can always pass them on, as can you
have emailed you btw.

am really sorry guys but i just don't have the energy to catch up with what everyone's said, i'm so tired and apparantly look pale and knackard, as people so kindly comment, so i'm going to go to bed soon.

hope your all well and i'll be back after weekend, may pop in in morning too

night night

WinnieThePooh · 19/07/2007 21:54

Pebble mum, please send my best wishes to Buffy,

Misdee, please also tell lisa I am thinking of her.

I hope everyone else is well.

Pebblemum · 19/07/2007 22:24

Thanks for all the lovely messages for buffy, not sure when she will get to the pc again but i will tell her that you are all thinking of her

dal21 · 20/07/2007 07:47

Grrr, second night in a row with poor sleep. Have come to the conclusion that when i do too much during the day - I sleep really badly that night as the aches interfere with getting comfy and my mind is racing. Am done with DIY for the week - so going to relax the next few days and see if that helps. Am hoping the hypnobirthing course i start on sunday will be able to help - fingers and toes crossed!
Hope everyone else is ok and no one under threat from the flood warnings. London is lovely and cool again this morning. Bliss!

MrsFish · 20/07/2007 08:28

Not sure what is wrong with you Lisa, but I hope you are feeling better soon xx

Well I went to bed early, but still woke 4 times for the loo and then this morning I couldn't get comfortable due to hips feeling like they were cramping up. The weather is back to being horrible again... but lovely and cool

I am in a baking frenzy today, said I would make some stuff for ds's cake stall at the nursery fayre, so am going positively mad

FloriaTosca · 20/07/2007 08:42

Good Morning All!
Well its another wet and windy one today after yesterdays glorious sunshine, but the lack of sunlight is streaming through my new windows so I'm happy.. esp. as Lo let me have a good nights sleep...no getting up 5 times for Gaviscon and a pee and no 2hr kick about at 3am like Wednesday night! Bliss! I feel almost human!
Hope those who are on bed rest are not too bored and los are hanging in there..and I hope those with sick DCs (chicken pox and viruses abounding at the moment it seems)are not having too bad a time of it.
We are supposed to be in a flood risk area...within the 200m flood plain of the river...but it would have to rise well over 50ft to get to us and would be up to the eaves of next doors house before it got to our foundations (we are on such a steep hill) so I'm not really too concerned. Good luck however to those who are under threat.

muppetgirl · 20/07/2007 09:19

Hi all, yes raining here to. Dh went out last night and stayed over in london (knew he would but there was a chance he wouldn't iykwim) ollie was up and uspet which is sods law as he never does that! He ended up sleeping on the sofa till 11 and then i put him back to bed. He then woke wet at 5am..
I changed him and then he got his toys and came into bed with me. I nust sdmit it was lovely to have some 'mummy' time with his. We talked and cuddled and I hope we are back on an even keel.

Best wishes to lisa and buffy, it doesn't sound great for buffy but I am keeping everything crossed for her

muppetgirl · 20/07/2007 09:23

Also, had my growth scan yesterday and stiil said the baby was 2 big by at least 2 weeks. I now have to talk to midwife (who's not interested) about date changes.

Can I just ask some advice?

What I am concerned about

edd given
1st scan 27th Oct
2nd scan 29th Oct
3rd scan 5th Nov

discrepancy of 10 days

My 20 week scan shows dates out by 2 weeks (average)
Edd should be 2 weeks earlier?

My 24 week growth scan shows dates out by 2 weeks

2 weeks earlier is 22nd Oct

If you take the 1st date as being the edd then being ?overdue? is taken from then.

But if you take the growth scan dates being ?overdue? will be from 22nd

So, having been 11 days overdue with ds 1 and having to be induced I could, this time, have a big baby or have the wrong dates?

How do you work out how (if) overdue you are?

dal21 · 20/07/2007 09:26

Hmmm MrsF, baking. I love to bake - but DH and I would be the size of a house if I did (only us 2 to eat all the cakes!), so now only bake when we have guests coming. Is exactly what days like today are designed for!

Am currently racking my brains for something nice for DH tomorrow. He has been working such long hours all week - would love to be able to treat him with something he would enjoy tomorrow. Thinking hat on!

dal21 · 20/07/2007 09:28

Gawd muppet - I have no idea how this all works! am confused for you! am sure someone who can help will be along shortly.

muppetgirl · 20/07/2007 09:31

I know dal, I'm so confused and sonographer says change the dates but last time the midwife said she didn't think it was big!!

Have posted a thread to ask....

We're having raost chicken tonight if that helps, which I put butter under the skin and garlic into the meat.

Lurvely

dal21 · 20/07/2007 09:34

Ohh, that sounds lush muppet! I make this killer omelette/ cooked breakfast that DH loves! And havent made it for an age for him! Think I have a plan, thanks for the inspiration!
