Lisa -put fingers in ears and shout 'la, la, la, la la.'

I am eating 2 packets (Oooooooh yes) of butterscitch Angel delight after sending dh across the road to buy some for me.

alicet · 18/07/2007 18:54

Thelady ? pretty sure you?re fine with feta cheese. But couldn?t swear to it?. Anyway even if its one that you?re meant to avoid the risk of listeria is seriously low so try not to worry hon!

I also eat dippy eggs, have the occasional glass of wine (might get one tonight actually ? its been a while!) and have been eating shellfish since 12 weeks. One of my mates who has 3 dc?s and is a GP ignores all the what not to eat stuff on the grounds that the risks associated with each of them are seriously small. Agree with her actually but for me happier to avoid most of the other stuff even though I LOVE cheese!!!!

dal21 · 18/07/2007 19:27

Hi - I have been told that cheeses like feta and mozzerella are fine, so eat away! anyone else been entertained by the alcohol thread in AIBU? I havent had any alcohol since falling pregnant....keep thinking having a little bit will make me miss it more, so have abstained totally. Makes sense in my world

DB - which pregnancy debate got you riled?

J20 - sorry that others ae being rubbish. Crabby off days when pregnant are the worst. have come to the conclusion that I should be shut away from the world on those days!

I have had a cool couple of days - made and hung the curtains for the nursery, could not find any decent readymade blackout ones that i liked - and they look fab! Then Duatalier called me - the glider chair is ready and being delivered on Friday! Hoorah! The LO's nursery is starting to come together, it is so so exciting!

alicet · 18/07/2007 19:33

dal I got a bit irate at the beginning of the alcohol thread! While I totally respect people who choose to abstain completely (for whatever reason) sanctimonious people like Leati who try to guilt trip pregnant women into stopping are one of my pet hates! Not the quesiton of to drink / not to drink that annoys me so much - just one individuals presumption that they have the right to dictate if you see what I mean! I have made an informed decision to have one or two which is the right one for me

Need to stop now - can feel myself getting cross again which is totally silly and pointless especially amoung you lot!

alicet · 18/07/2007 19:34

Sory for ranting - its also really exciting that your nursery is coming together! MAkes it all much more real doesn't it?

dal21 · 18/07/2007 19:39

Alicet - rant away. I posted my opinion too - but that was well after the majority of the posts had been done. I am glad was painting kitchen this morning - otherwise I too would have been riled.
People like that need to be simply ignored. Ignorant people with closed minds will never learn. What I want to know is whether she is a journalist - is she actually doing some legitimate research - or is she just someone with extreme views on certain things?
Someone posted later on about the more severe cultural divides in the US regarding alcohol (i.e. lots of teetotallers vs. lots of opposite end binge drinkers). The OP is teetotal - so explains (but doesnt excuse) her posts.

muppetgirl · 18/07/2007 20:06

Have to say alicet and dal I agree with you 100%

I stayed away as I would've joined as I did with the b/f debate.

I have made sooooo many f**k ups with my ds, with my life, with everything really. But I choose to think about what I have experienced and learn from it. I offer advice when asked for, using my opinion and experience but I would never tell anyone what to do. I taught ch of drug addicts, alcoholics, pregnant parents smoked in front of me...I chose not to comment as it wasn't my position too.

These women p*ss me off and I can't join in as then the thread stays with me for 3 days...

alicet · 18/07/2007 20:19

dal she has done some child development stuff I think (was insensed enough to look at her profile!)

Grr makes me cross - just need to STAY AWAY!!!!

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 20:34

Muppetgirl - 2 packets of AD, that is some going

I had faggots and Mash for tea with carrots and leeks, am now stuffed and feel like I have two babies inside me now

dal21 · 18/07/2007 20:46

I havent yet encountered a thread that has stayed with me! There will always be folk who I dont quite agree with...good luck to them, not going to waste time and energy on them. Famous last words, am sure I will find a thread I eventually bite with! will let you know!

AD? Havent had that since I was a kid! Strawberry flavour was my fave!

muppetgirl · 18/07/2007 20:50

When I click on 'threads I'm on' it lists all the threads in the last 3 days.

-Can I delete them?

j20baby · 18/07/2007 20:50

hello guys, still feeling fed up, fell asleep for half an hour before tea and growled at dd when she woke me up to tell me she was brushing her feet with my hairbrush, and it felt lovely! has she no shame?!

we had veg soup for tea that i made, but it wasn't very nice.

i'm not really looking forward to my weekend away, me and my friend have different disciplne(sp) methods, (i'm stricter) and don't know if i can handle dd's constant whining that i'm mean, doesn't help that i feel very irate lately.

re the threads that irk us, i have had to keep away from them, as i don't know if i could restrain from climbing through the pc to throttle someone!

anyhow, going to try and get an early night, hope your all ok

j20baby · 18/07/2007 20:52

muppetgirl-don't think so, but if you post on a few the latest ones are at the top, so just don't scroll down to the ones that annoy you

OP posts:
dal21 · 18/07/2007 20:53

J20 - sleep well! am sure tomorrow will be a brighter day!

muppetgirl · 18/07/2007 20:53

Thanks j20 -Night!

j20baby · 18/07/2007 20:56

oh forgot to say-i eat dippy eggs sometimes and still smoke and still drink, but nowhere near as much as i did in the first few months of pg, the drinking that is, i am worried about fas as i had a few binge nights early on, it was quite a difficult time for me, no excuse i know, but i don't think i could go on them threads when people are so judgemental. sorry if this makes you all hate me, yes i truly am a bad mother

OP posts:
muppetgirl · 18/07/2007 20:59

J20, we all do what we do..

When i fell pregenant (I always found that a very strange exeression to 'fall' pregnant?) I had 4 wedding s that year, three before I found out + the three hen nights...
I was slaughtered for all of them and took neurophen the day after. No ones perfect

alicet · 18/07/2007 21:00

J20 it take much more than that for me to want to hate you. You're doing the best you can under difficult circumstances and anyone who judges you should eff off! Sleep well xxx

muppetgirl · 18/07/2007 21:01

with ds 1 that is.

I still have the odd glass of 'something' alcoholic and I have taken the cocedemol (as well as a couple of neurophen when head was going to burst!)

lisad123 · 18/07/2007 21:25

I didnt find out i was preggy with tanisha till 3 months. In that time, i was knocked out by one of the kids i worked with, went out partying atleast3-4 times, drank tons, had a piece of cervix removed and generally lived life to full.
Im sitting here watching wire in the blood, and about to have tea and choc biscuits before 10pm when i cant eat anymore

Lisa

nellieloula · 19/07/2007 07:37

morning everyone, just a quck one to say good luck today Lisa. Hope the fasting isn't too painful. And alice, I read the alcohol thread yesterday and wanted to jump in and congratulate your sense (and far greater knoweldge on the subject) but like lots of others couldn't get drawn into it - I was getting so angry and needed to step away! But you put your point across really well.

Hope everyone else is ok - I'm fine, tired (But that's more due to my DS waking up 3 times) My bump is really heavy now; mdiwife thinks it could either be another big baby or there is a lot of amniotic fluid - I feel full term already!

anyway, hope everyone has a good morning.

dal21 · 19/07/2007 07:59

Noooooo, the OP from FAS thread on AIBU returned and posted her 'article' last night. And I bit! Need to get away from the AIBU thread, is not good for my sanity!

muppetgirl · 19/07/2007 08:34

Morning all,
Will be keeping away from the fas thread as had a good nights sleep (alllllll night!!) feeling refreshed, Ollie off to nursery and don;t want any upsets

Have to buy new Noddy Pants for ds and a maternity swimming costume (yuk) for me. I have my growth scan later 3.30 so will let you know whether I am bredding a monster or not!

Lisa -hope you're having a slap up meal when you've finished you gtt

It's sunny wooohooooo!

dal21 · 19/07/2007 08:54

Muppet - you are wiser than me. Am going to log off and continue with household chores. More productive than banging my head against a brick wall - proverbally speaking of course!

Bigchic · 19/07/2007 09:39
