Choudru - a close friend of mine is freelance web designer'developer/magician and he's very local. I know there's a lot of charlatans out there and I know he's good. Let me know if you are interested and I'll put in touch. If not no worries. Bummer about missing chocs.

Have done 40 papers today and 30 yesterday so am getting through them.

RG - not long till your scan now. I'm having to restrain myself on the spending; once the house is straight I'm off with the credit card.

Just got back from M&S. DS was adorable for the first 10 mins waving and saying 'ello' to all the passers-by. This quickly developed into a whinging session and grabbing everything his little hands could reach.

Home now - at least dinner's sorted and I decided to treat us with a nice chocolate dessert.

Because I'm worth it sexy swish of shiny locks

Littleoldme - have you got any urls of websites your friend has done? Just so I can see examples of his work? I was going to use a cousin of DH's. I know he's good based on other websites he has done, but he can be unreliable when it comes to meeting deadlines!

RG - that all sounds a bit strenuous to me. Did get Davina's workout DVDs but only did them about 3 times. Used to make DS giggle watching me when he was about 6 months!

Pixiefish · 13/07/2007 18:07

Am in Leeds visiting Yorkieirl and her 2 dd's. All 3 dd's were nightmares last night and wouldn't settle so am shattered today

littleoldme · 13/07/2007 18:42

I'll ask him for urls. If you've got someone you know I'm sure you'll be ok. It's just some of the stories my mate tells me are not good.

My freind came round with her 3week old baby today. Still can't quite believe I'll have one soon.

Would like to cast a vote for not worrying about weight for a while.

Good news -Ive only put on 7lbs so far

Bad news- I was the heaviest I'd ever been just before I got pg. SO I'll be MASSIVELY overweight by the end even if I eat good things for the next 3 1/2 months and that's not terribly likely!

How do we stop people just touching our bumps? People I don't know very well just did it earlier this week. I find it very strange. Like yr being touched up or something

littleoldme · 13/07/2007 21:25

Silk - if they touch your bump, touch their bum. They won't be doing it again.

Choudru - DH says our mate isn't taking taking on anymore work at the mo as is preparing to move house - and we all know what fun that is. However, if you want a free alternative have you thought about doing it yourself on a site like blogger?

Still up as I am so uncomfortable and can't sleep Baby is filling all my stomach area now from pelvis to breasts, and it hurts!!

I have finally hit 8 stone!!! Have only put in 7lbs so far and to hit 8st this early is a great achievement for me But I do wish this baby would move down!!!!

ara · 14/07/2007 08:03

8 stone???!!!!!!!!!

Sparkly I think i was last 8 stone when i was but a slip of a thing!! You lucky thing!! I'm nearly 11 at this point in time!

My friend who is due to have her baby in 2 weeks time was round for lunch yesterday and we were cracking up as she's almost 14 stone now (over 3st weight gain) and she's now overtaken her footballer DP!!

We were talking about the joys of the stomach afterwards....my mum keeps saying 'ooh, you lucky thing, you'll be as thin as a rake afterwards - my stomach lay in a concave line between my hips after i had you lot'
........erm.....cheers mum, i've never had a belly like that and don't think one's suddenly going to appear after my already stretchmarked tummy has carried this little bruiser around for the next 4 months!!

muckers · 14/07/2007 10:31

What a week, anyone else feeling particularly low/tired at the moment, didn't work yesterday as have to go in at 2.30pm today until 7.30 tomorrow morning and spent the whole day feeling very low, tired and bored.
Saw midwife on Tuesday, all fine with blood results, b/p, urine, 140bpm on the doppler etc, so that was reasurring.
Woke up today feeling quite nausea's and then spent the next 5 mins bringing up nothing, quite light headed still 3 hours later. Sure it will pass.
On holiday all next week, going to get the nursery decorated and organised hopefully, am quite organised with baby equipement, have all the big things and quite a lot of other bits too, nice to be able to buy bits in blue now not just in beige and white which is what most of it seems to be at the moment.
Anyway, hope everyone is feeling better than I am at the moment, take care.
Better get organised for work, need to go and purchase the jackpot winning lottery ticket so I can get some chic interior designer in to do the nursery next week.

ara · 14/07/2007 10:37

ooh muckers, sounds nasty - maybe you should be ringing in sick and having a rest?

ara · 14/07/2007 10:39

when are you due? i can't see you in the list!I've been feeling bit tired but no light headedness. That sounds awful.

littleoldme · 14/07/2007 10:39

muckers- poor old you. I'm still sick from time to time. Especially if tired or very busy. I prescribe a box set of Desperate Housewives and feet up. Hope you feel better soon. hug

OP posts:
muckers · 14/07/2007 10:52

your right, I'm not on the list, do I add myself or what?

Due 19th Nov with a boy.

I'll be ok, cant ring in sick, I'm the Manager and it's too late to find cover, 2 off my Assistant Managers are on annual leave at the moment, my deputy was in last night and all morning, which leaves little ole me!!!!
Never mind, will take it easy, only have one report to write and the medication to give out to the residents. But thanks for the hug and concerns, just eaten two choc biscuits and having a coffee now, I've decided my sugar levels are low so hopefully will feel better in a mo!!

muckers · 14/07/2007 11:01

sorry, just re-read my last message and realised the start of it sounds a liitle curt, . Not sure how to add to list, so if someone would kindly do it for me I would appreciate it.

ara · 14/07/2007 11:07

not at all! anyway - you're allowed cos you're not feeling well. Just cut and paste the list into the 'add your message' box and add your details.
I think it's been in order of scan dates so far but i just added myself in at the bottom and some kind soul put me in the right place!

ara · 14/07/2007 11:08

that means there are mostly boys so far!

ara · 14/07/2007 11:09

ara · 14/07/2007 11:11

good work - there are loads of us now!

muckers · 14/07/2007 11:13

I dunn it......... LOL
Thanks ara.

I work for Bournemouth Borough Council as the registered manager of a residential home for 14 adults with learning disabilities. I love the job, but am finding it quite hard work at the moment. My staff are fab and being very supportive of me, so cant complain really.

ara · 14/07/2007 11:16

I work for a council too - with long commute so finding it quite tough at times too. Roll on maternity leave eh?!

Do you get to sleep on your night shifts?

muckers · 14/07/2007 11:20

Yes, officially on duty till 10.30pm and then go to bed, although what with the nightstaff banging around downstairs and the residents going in and out to the toilet etc, it's normally quite a disturbed sleep. My senior team dont normally do sleep-ins anymore but I'm 2 nightposts down and one on annual leave so only have one on duty tonight which is why I have to sleep. I normally do Mon-Fri 9-5 so this is slightly out of the norm, mind you extra money will come in handy for buying more baby bits...LOL, think I might be getting a bit obsessive!!!

muckers · 14/07/2007 11:22

What do you do for the council?

ara · 14/07/2007 11:32

I've hardly bought ANYTHING yet as DP has banned me because we're hoping to move house imminently. So I envy you!!

I manage the contemporary art programme at our council so it's typically lots of physical work as well as all the other stuff. I'm trying to take a big step back from that at the moment though, although there's always so much to do....sigh!

I've got a long week next week as we've got a really big exhibition going up so it'll be long days for me too. Luckily no sleep-overs though!

Pixiefish · 14/07/2007 11:55

Fell down the stairs last night at my friend's house and have twisted my knee badly
Typical. Her stairs have a twist at the bottom and I lost my footing. I only fell down about 4 steps but my knee got twisted back. I think the bump is ok- I didn't hit my front and I have felt it moving.
