Aw no RGPargy- you're allowed to get a bit down when you've had such a busy and stressful week!!

I'm sure I will be a gibbering wreck when we finally move house...! DP will be looking forward to that!

Good luck on your radio show later

RGPargy · 15/07/2007 17:55

Thanx Ara. Glad i am allowed an excuse hehe

littleoldme · 15/07/2007 18:25

Sorry you are feeling pants RG . Hope your sandals have turned up

I've been rather emotional myself of late. I caught sight of myself in the mirror today and got teary. I'm getting a nice bump but I just look so flippin wide. If this carries I'll need a police escort everytime I leave the house

awww poor you, littleoldme! I know what you mean about seeing yourself in teh mirror. I dont even think i look pg. I think i just look very "portly" and it's horrible!!!

littleoldme · 15/07/2007 20:10

Certainly don't envy you moving house. Just keep thinking about how nice it'll be once everything's is unpacked.

Must finish lesson prep then I'm taking my behemoth of a backside off to bed.

Oh RG - poor you. I know what you mean though - feeling a bit like that myself. Glad I'm not the only one.

Am working all day monday, tuesday and wednesday which is the first time I have done proper working days since DS was born 2 years ago.

Feel a bit tearful at the thought of leaving DS all day with his gran, even though I know he'll love it.

Silly hormones eh.

I could also tell you about the big tantrum I had this morning which resulted in me slamming a door and shattering one of it's glass panes, but then you'd all think I was a complete mentalist...

Have to run henna workshops for 11-14 year olds tomorrow - any tips from any of you teachers regarding presenting to this age group?

RGPargy · 15/07/2007 21:26

blimey, we're a bunch of hormonal crazy bints this week aren't we!!

Good luck tomoz Choudru, i'm sure you'll do great! I dont have any tips, despite having a teenager mysself, other than to keep everything positive and give lots of encouragement (stating the obvious really lol).

Dont worry about your DS being at his grans Choudru. like you said, he will love it and think it's Xmas come early!

have a good sleep, littleoldme!

aikigypsy · 16/07/2007 02:21

I am still feeling just sort of thick and fat, and not really looking pregnant at all to those who don't know me. Was chatting with another woman at the cafe today -- she's due the same day as I am, and looks definitely, no-doubt-about-it pregnant

Pixiefish · 16/07/2007 07:58

11-14 year olds will love Henna choudru so i don't think you have anything to worry about regarding presentation

FCH · 16/07/2007 11:27

Morning all!

I have just been catching up and am feeling so relieved that there are one or two others having a little morale dip. I had a really down few days at the end of last week and over the weekend. The ridiculous thing is that I don't have an excuse (no house moving, twisted knees or dreadful employers) but I just feel like my whole life has been turned upsidedown and everyone else is just happily carrying on without me. It doesn't help that I am working away from home in the week doing something highly tedious and dull, and DH is at home having a brilliant time really getting his teeth into an exciting new job. I am most jealous and grumpy, which is unlike me really - but on the bright side what seemed like a huge problem last night seems less serious this morning!

Oh well, I have a nice treat lined up on Friday so I have something to look forward to for the rest of the week to get me through work.

RGPargy · 16/07/2007 13:01

Morning FCH. Glad that things seem better for you in the cold light of day. A good sleep always helps to ease a problem, i find.

Have a good week!

Pixiefish · 16/07/2007 15:57

I'm still in agony with my knee but can't see the point in going to the hospital as they can't x ray me or give me strionger painkillers. Hope it clears soon- summer hols start Thursday and I so don't want dd to be stuck in the house all summer

RGPargy · 16/07/2007 16:25

Poor you, pixiefish! Can you bandage it up or use a support bandage for the time being?

Pixiefish · 16/07/2007 16:40

I have done RG- i just keep twisting it worse and everytime I sit down it gets really stiff

RGPargy · 16/07/2007 16:44

Ouch!!

geekInPigtails · 16/07/2007 17:50

pixiefish, go to hospital! It's up to them to work out whether there are better painkillers they can safely give you, and they may be able to give you something to support it better too...

Morning again,

Pixie - I broke a tooth on Friday and almost didn't go to the dentist because the girl answering the phone was so very unhelpful and didn't think they would be able to do anything but the dentist herself was brilliant and has done what she can to patch me up for the next few months, and even said that in cases of unmanageable pain they can do a lot more than you think - perhaps your doctor would be able to help more than you think too? You really should go especially as (if you are anything like me) you are propably already starting to realise your joints are working harder than usual!

Loopy - oh yes it is all the disappointer's fault (probably should get used to calling him the career damager), although in fairness I asked for this job as DH was working up the road and due to move in September, so we thought we were going to get almost a whole year here together to get pregnant and hopefully then go back home at about the same time. He had asked for the job he is currently doing at home; it was due to start end of September, and he was told he was top of the list for it, so there we were being smug about how well organised we were when the letter came "Congrats Mr FCH you can have the job you asked for, just it starts in April" aaarrrrggghhh! (It could have been worse though - at least I was pregnant by the time he left - it would have been terrible if we were still trying for a baby) So I have been here on my own for the last couple of months and it sucks - particularly as the most interesting thing I have done this week so far is make the tea!!! On the bright side I only have to stick it out for another 10 weeks, what with summer leave etc, and I am sure it will all fade into insignificance once FCH Jr arrives!

In a piece of news that has really cheered me up DH actually started reading his "dad's guide to pregnancy" type book last night and phoned me all full of enthusiasm for actually getting on with sorting out a nursery, so perhaps we will start getting more organised soon.

Well - sorry for rambling (again) - better go and make the tea!

Pixiefish · 17/07/2007 09:37

It's a bit better today, even managed to take dd to playgroup in the car.

RGPargy · 17/07/2007 10:30

Loopy - yeah you should have a listen, it was great fun this week!

Pixie - glad your knee is feeling a bit better today. The best thing you can do is REST it!!

AnnainNZ · 17/07/2007 15:12

Hope your knee better Pixie.

Anyone else getting insomnia? Generally I'm feeling really well but I keep waking up at 2am and unable to get back to sleep for next hour. IT'S 2.15 AND I HAVE TO BE UP IN FOUR HOURS!!!! Sorry to shout but it's a pita.

My one consolation is that MN is quite busy at this time due to time difference. what would I do without it/ (crap middle of the night TV I htink is the answer)

RGPargy · 17/07/2007 16:01

I know how you feel Anna!! I quite often wake up in the night, but more often than not it's for a wee. I find it really difficult to actually feel tired when i go to bed too. My DP will say "shall we go up" and i'm sat there wide eyed and bushy tailed thinking that it's still only early evening!!

Mind you, no sooner does my head hit the pillow than i'm out like a light (sorry Anna!).

Hope your sleepless nights improve soon - you will need all your sleep for events to come, no doubt!

Pixiefish · 17/07/2007 16:47

I'm up in the night for a wee quite a few times yes- it's real pita

littleoldme · 17/07/2007 18:28

Hello one and all

Pixie - hope your knee is still sorting itself ou.

Anna - I've had insomnia too. I tend to go for book and milky drink and don't even try to get back sleep as I get stressed when I don't. I try to stay relaxed and rest even though I may not sleep.

RG - tried to listed to your show but our computer didn't seem to want to let me.

Rant warning - Hormones are driving me mad. Everyone at work is completely getting on my nerves and I swear I'm going to end up in a fight - I honestly feel that tetchy. Last week I went in the staff room and opened the window as I was stifling. I then got a lexture about how,
"We aren't all pg and If I opened the window ebvery time I had a hot flush we'd all be freezing."

I was just about respond with, "No we 're not all pg; some of us are barren old whores." When I realised I may not be being entirely rational and decided to leave the room. THEN I came back 5 mins later and she was still whinging. I have to confess I did have bit of a go then.

I could go on but I won't.

The worst thing is that I normally get rid of stress by exercising but anythng more than a 10 min stroll has me soaking in the bath with pelvis ache.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Thanks for listening . Feel better now!
