BHs are so annoying, noticed them at 16 weeks with DS and around 14 weeks with this one.

And yup on the shitty discharge, IVEgottheDECAF , I took some BV pesseries and it cleared. I always get BV during pregnancies. (I also often lose my plug throughout pregnancy too and it is a little different but very similar!).

TheCraicDealer · 15/04/2019 21:22

Thanks db92!

I've got a lot of discharge as well. Apparently it's to keep things moving down the vagina to stop any infections getting further north so it serves a purpose I suppose! Going to get some reusable panty liners soon as I know conditions down there are only going to get worse over the summer 😬

BBell2 · 15/04/2019 21:26

@ivegotthedecaf, same here. I took the first of my holiday days today (going to take one a week till may leave) and my toddler projectile vomited milk and weetabix over the carpet, two throws, her pjs, slippers and only narrowly the dog. Cancelled planned play date and swimming sat around and got annoyed with each other eating pom bears. Had an argument with OH because it's most definately his turn to take emergency leave if this carried on. We are only 2 nursery days clear since chicken pox and theres nits at nursery. Because OH and DD were both off yesterday I ran round after them and I'm sore. In the bath rather than early bed just to avoid!

Karigan195 · 15/04/2019 21:35

Anyone else getting Braxton Hicks already. Can’t decide if I’ve just done too much in holiday sun for the last week or this is normal but last two days my bumps been getting pretty tight and uncomfortable in the evenings!

Karigan195 · 15/04/2019 21:38

Should have caught up first but we’ve been on a plane most of the day! Sorry. Looks like a few around 21 weeks are getting them then. Really don’t remember them from last time andnot liking them much. Was in agony yesterday from a combination of BH and ligament pain after walking around in 26 degree sun all day!

kyles101 · 15/04/2019 21:42

Ah, so pleased you got to hear the heartbeat @TheCraicDealer

Ha ha ha dusty to be fair when I read the 32 week thing i was like weeeelllll if there's a medical reason to abstain... in summer... when heavily pregnant, it's a shame but it is what it is 😜

For the person that's had ikea deliveries, sorry, struggled to keep up with the thread today, did you order online and did it arrive on the planned delivery day? I'm off for a whole week last week of this month so Day doesn't bother me at all, it just definitely has to be that week...

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/04/2019 21:47

Just come up to bed after a ready meal and ice cream (healthy!) Hopefully tomorrow is a better day! Dont even know why today has been stressy but it has! Apparently BH can be worse when dehydrated

Lavellan · 15/04/2019 22:15

@kyles101 hi it was me that got ikea delivered. Yeah ordered online and got a 10-4pm window then on the day they sent me a text 10-11am and it arrived at 10.30am.

(I have had a problem with them once before but I do genuinely think they got a puncture on their van because the poor blokes turned up at 7pm in Aberdeen and still had to drive back to Glasgow.)

Stroan · 15/04/2019 22:16

I'm still on HG meds and still really nauseous nearly all day. Only sick a few times a week now though. It's getting me really down actually.

I haven't had any Braxton Hicks, I didn't get them until very late on with DD and hope they don't start soon.

Just spent the evening sorting out all DDs clothes and digging out all the neutral stuff. Turns out I gave nearly all of it to my sister when she had her second so haven't got as much as I thought! I did find the babygros that DD wore in the hospital after being too big for newborn stuff! Can't wait to dress another wee squish in them. I also showed her the star Wrap and told her she came home from hospital in it. She wants to bring her baby (!) home in it too
😍

I’m getting a really sharp electric shock pain/twitch/pinch in various places around bump-really tiny and localised and lasts seconds but really sharp nerve type pain that makes me wince. Doing my head in!
Pretty sure still not felt baby move yet (18+4) although there might have been some vague poppings but could have been dinner!
Anxiously awaiting scan in 9 days. Feels like forever away still.

Florencenotflo · 15/04/2019 22:49

@TwittleBee what bv ones do you use? I've been meaning to get a dr's appointment because I've definitely got it again this time. Is there one you can get over the counter?

TwittleBee · 16/04/2019 05:06

Yeah most places like boots, Superdrug, any supermarket with a medicine section will sell them Florencenotflo I think it's the Canesbalance I usually get.

Florencenotflo · 16/04/2019 06:13

Thank you, I thought I'd need a dr's appointment, didn't realise you could buy it in boots!

kyles101 · 16/04/2019 06:27

Thanks @Lavellan will order middle of next week I think then with the aim of them turning up the following... best get painting this weekend!!

You dd is too cute stroan - her baby! So sweet!

I've been impatiently waiting for movement too Megan - seem to have felt quite a bit I think maybe since the scan yesterday though, maybe because you can see the movements on the screen at the same tome as you feel things that you would have otherwise dismissed?

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 16/04/2019 06:39

@bunnymummy89 I think the main thing is plenty of sheets (Moses basket ones normally fit a pram but worth measuring) because they tend to be dribbly and/or sicky. Other than that I just had a couple of blankets that I used when out and about, but maybe she's thinking of a pram suit as well? Like a little snow suit? Very useful for keeping baby snug!

Florencenotflo · 16/04/2019 06:42

@Bunnymummy89 we're pram linens more of a thing when people had those huge silver cross coach built prams? Could you get some general bedding instead? Cot sheets, a few blankets etc? I used to put a Muslim under DD's head when she was tiny, you can tuck it in each side of the Moses basket/pram. Saves you changing sheets if they dribble a bit in the night.

TwittleBee · 16/04/2019 06:51

Yeah we just used muslins to catch any dribble. Don't think I bothered putting a crib sheet down. But then it is removable and washable if I needed to wash it I suppose?

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/04/2019 07:04

You could ask for a star wrap as pram linen?

Bunnymummy89 · 16/04/2019 07:56

Thanks for the ideas. I think it was probably a bigger thing in her days. Loving the look of the star wraps, so cute!

GemmaJen · 16/04/2019 08:10

DH felt baby move this morning 😍 so special. I've been feeling movement for a couple of weeks, but it's pretty regular now. If I'm sitting or lying down I can feel it, but this was the first time DH felt one of the strong kicks.

Went through the items we've got so far, we've got quite a few pieces of clothing, but I'm unsure about quantity, how many baby grows and vests do you need in the first sizes?

TwittleBee · 16/04/2019 08:12

Bunnymummy you'll find this with a lot of stuff I reckon, where things are now outdated. Has been a source of conflict with MIL sometimes.

Anyone else suffering with insomnia? I did struggle to sleep with last pregnancies but this time it is taking the piss now. Doesnt help when I have CTS either I guess. Any advice?

TwittleBee · 16/04/2019 08:16

Its magical when you can start feeling and seeing them move on the outside isnt it GemmaJen !

As for babygrows... it is a hard one. DS was measuring big and MW told us to expect a 10lb+ baby so we didnt buy any newborn stuff just loads of 1 month and 0-3 months. He ended up arriving early so was 7lb1 so had to rush our parents out to get him clothes (luckily I had 1 newborn outfit which I bought before we new he was looking on the larger side!). But he then outgrew them really quick, he gained weight so well after that first week. SO I guess what I am saying is don't buy loads, you can always top up but do maybe buy enough to see you through until you do a wash. I found I changed DS about 3 times a day on average in those first few weeks.

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/04/2019 08:33

Ill get i think 6 sleepsuits in up to one month (10lb), then 12 in 0-3 months (14lb)

My last 3 dc were over 8lb each. I would be very surprised if i had a tiny one unless they were a few weeks early. Even my dc born at 38 weeks was 8lb1.

Florencenotflo · 16/04/2019 08:33

@GemmaJen it's a hard one. Most places do newborn, first size, up to one month, up to 3 months, 0-3 months - which is confusing! But they normally have the weights on them. I think I bought up to one month with dd, she was 8lb 10oz. They fit for a little while then moved up.

It doesn't really matter if they are a bit big, they soon grow! I think we got about 7-10 of the first 2 sizes figuring we could wash and dry them overnight if we were desperate! Plus we have a 24 hour Tesco extra nearby that we could get to if we really ran out! You'll get loads as presents too remember, people seem to love buying small babygrows!

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/04/2019 08:40

Yeah you can always nip to a supermarket or get next day delivery if discover you need a smaller size or more of a size!
