My mum kept one cuddly toy that I had from birth, a fluffy panda that was in great condition. That was until a few years ago when my dog got a hold of it and it then became his cuddly humping toy.

KLane · 15/04/2019 12:12

@stroan That list made me laugh out loud. SO TRUE (especially the playdough)!

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 15/04/2019 13:40

Hello ladies! Hope you don't mind if I join you - due the end of September and have been on various groups on 'pregnancy' but didn't think to check antenatal!! Second baby but first one was very complicated due to an accident I was in early on in the pregnancy (spent the whole pregnancy in hospital!) so this should be my first 'normal' pregnancy. Any one else still suffering with sickness!?

TwittleBee · 15/04/2019 14:32

oh I feel like crying at the thought of that Megan2018 ! Your poor DH! I was still am so emotionally attached to my soft toys. As a result though I am really trying to minimize how many DS and this baby will have as it became something of a burden to me.

welcome Littlehouseinthebigcity ! so sorry to hear about your previous pregnancy experience, how bloomin difficult that must have been! Hope everythings okay now? I'm thankfully only suffering with morning sickness, the throughout the day sickness departed a couple weeks back (I am 18 weeks now).

TwittleBee · 15/04/2019 14:33

I have found a really cute mobile I have found on Etsy I am desperate to buy for this baby though... But I doubt DH will approve of the price tag!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/04/2019 14:35

I seem to just be being sick maybe twice a week now (19+4)

Looking forward to starting the baby shopping!

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 15/04/2019 15:01

@TwittleBee thanks! It's a lot better than it was though have been left with impaired mobility (I walk with a stick and can't get very far) so life with a newborn and a toddler may be interesting!!

If anything my sickness seems to have picked up from 16 week! It was just the odd occasion with continual nausea and now I'm throwing up several times a day Confused

So lovely to 'meet' lots of people due around the same time. Wishing you all the best with your babies!!

Megan2018 · 15/04/2019 15:12

I'm still being sick when I brush my teeth and occasionally from certain smells (18+4). It shows no sign of going away!

Moraxella · 15/04/2019 15:41

Vomming about once every three days and usually induced by smelling coffee, thinking about steak, meat in general, Thai green curry or any of the other things I never think I’ll be able to touch again 😬😬

Whisky2014 · 15/04/2019 17:53

Wow yikes. I haven't spewed once. How weird is that?

kyles101 · 15/04/2019 18:36

One time spewer here too - sorry!

Had scan this afternoon, everything was absolutely perfect, still managed to get myself worked up beforehand though! She just couldn't see what she needed to on the heart, despite walking around and jiffling about so have to go back within the next 2 weeks for another, no hardship!

Oh, one not so great thing, my cervix is at the back, great, but it's overlapping my cervix ever so slightly... now she said hopefully it'll get pulled out of the way... now what are the chances of it actually being pulled out of the way or is this wishful thinking? Extra scan at 32 weeks to check that too!

DustyDoorframes · 15/04/2019 18:58

@kyles101 yay scan! Re your placenta- very high chances, I wouldn't bother worrying about it. Does your trust routinely scan at 36 weeks? If not I'm sure they'll put you down for an extra one to make sure the placenta has moved up nicely. Only worth worrying if it's still too low then.

DustyDoorframes · 15/04/2019 18:59

Hah misdeeds the bit about the 32 week scan...

DustyDoorframes · 15/04/2019 18:59

Misdeeds?!?! Missed! I'm not doing well this evening...

kyles101 · 15/04/2019 19:06

Ha ha dusty long day? Yep, everything crossed for a mover otherwise my worst nightmare is coming true... also read no intercourse from 32 weeks if it hasn't moved - poor dh!!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/04/2019 19:43

Long day here

Feeling very snappy

Need my bed

Having loads of braxton hicks every time i sit or lie down and it is annoying

TheCraicDealer · 15/04/2019 19:46

Had my 16w appointment and everything is fine. They did check the heartbeat and it took midwife no. 1 about five minutes of trying to find it; wasn't happening for her but as soon as one of the 'old hands' came in she got it within a few seconds. Baby was right down at my public bone, chilling out. They were very reassuring throughout but I wasn't too worried when they couldn't find it initially as previous posts had suggested it might be like that.

Also the spare hood I ordered separate to the pram order has arrived- I got the discontinued burgundy melange to go with the grey bassinet and seat. Looks very smart even if I do say so myself!

boodles101 · 15/04/2019 19:50

decaf same here. Tired, feeling emotional and snappy. Could do with a good cry. I'm off to bed to just lay and watch something crappy.

Florencenotflo · 15/04/2019 20:13

We only decorated 2 years ago and the baby's room is a very pale blue. We're having a girl but I'm actually loving the colour, going to get some wall stickers and by the time the furniture is in there you won't notice the colour really. I can't justify wasting money on painting a perfectly good room because it isn't a 'girly' colour. Dd has a very very pale pink room, I hate pink but she chose it!

Having lots of Braxton Hicks here, DH is slightly worried because of the amount I'm having. I didn't have them with dd. I have my mw appointment on Wednesday so I'll ask her then. 21 weeks tomorrow Shock it's bloody flying by!!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/04/2019 20:21

I dont remember having them like this before either florence but maybe we just forgot?

db92 · 15/04/2019 20:34

@TheCraicDealer I'm glad you got to hear the heartbeat Grin

Tefiti2 · 15/04/2019 20:37

21 weeks on Thurs and feeling the same re Braxton Hicks @florencenotflo. I swear I’ve been feeling them since 16 weeks but midwife wasn’t overly interested so it must not be concerning!

Bunnymummy89 · 15/04/2019 20:46

@Littlehouseinthebigcity 18 weeks and still sick every day even on HG meds. Thankfully mostly down to just a couple of times in the morning rather than all day but still have the odd horrendous day. Definitely on the up though!

Random question, saw my nan today and she offered to buy us whatever linens we needed for the pram/pushchair. I didn't know this was something we needed. What do I need to go in it? Kind of just imagined I'd wrap baby in a blanket!

DustyDoorframes · 15/04/2019 20:46

Haha @kyles101 my libido has long gone by 32 weeks...
Slightly alarmed by all the Braxton-hicking, I never had any I noticed with the first two, it would give me the heebie jeebies I think. Sounds like it's yet another rubbish but normal thing, ugh.

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/04/2019 20:53

I'm glad I'm not the only one with lots of bh. I do think i might have read somewhere that its yet another thing you feel more in subsequent pregnancies along with having worse after pains!

Also had a lot of snotty discharge past couple of days, Anyone else?

Baby is moving lots anyway so at least he/she seems happy
