@Otterlyme oh I'm so sorry to hear that.. can't imagine how hard it is being so sick on top of all the regular pregnancy rubbish. But not long until you get to meet her now!!

I am also having my first and also a girl due a little after you, 23rd! Been very lucky with my pregnancy, have only suffered some fainting etc from big drop in blood pressure and the usual aches and pains now we are growing!

How is everyone doing? Everyone is over the three quarters mark so it really is the big countdown. Maximum of 8 weeks and 4 days until my baby is here!! Little bit scary but so exciting.

How is everyone feeling about this birth?

Had my last day at work today. Feeling very surreal. I think it sunk in a little more that I’m actually having a baby ; I finally caved and bought some cute baby clothes yesterday. Starting to feel excitement rather than just disbelief

How is everyone this weekend?

@EverythingNow I'm the same. Despite my first being long, I actually loved the birth. I think! I enjoyed the bits I remember.

I've noticed on a morning now I'll get dull period like pains which last about 15-20 mins then subside. Hope this is baby settling lower down into pelvis! 4 weeks to go! Very excited 😬😊

I've just noticed the same thing the last couple of days. I was thinking cervix slowly shortening but position is more likely as I'm only 34 weeks.

@phoebebear I've been getting those too! Mostly at night which is annoying but in the last few days they've become really quite painful. This morning at 4am (thanks body) it was so painful I started to wonder if it was the real thing.. unfortunately not!

Has everyone packed their hospital bags?
I'm still at work for another 3 weeks, baby is due in 4 weeks.

I just can't bring myself to pack a bag. I think I'm still in shock! X

@ABearandABump I semi packed mine today despite saying I was planning to leave to last minute. I'm also due in 4wks but all of my babies have been overdue so didn't feel there was a rush.

@ABearandABump I didn't expect to, but then I started buying the odd thing when I happened to be near a useful shop (pads, a new nightdress from primark etc) and thought I may as well put them straight in the bag. So mine is semi packed 6 weeks in advance which I'm sure is unnecessary but saves me finding storing space!

I have most of the things on the spare bed and need to print out a list so I can mark off what I have.
Also need to find a physical bag to put stuff in

Hi I'm due Aug 4th, just wondering if the FB group is still open to join? I joined one with my little girl and it has been great, this time round I just seemed to get caught up in life and running around with a toddler and haven't been on much

Mine is packed! Well, all 3 (smallish) of them.. one for me, one for baby and one for OH (he has the snack bag).. I'm due in 2 weeks and 3 days. Feel like I should be terrified but somebody how remarkably calm. I think I'm in denial...

I haven't logged in here in so long. But can't believe that we are all almost there at last!!

Just want to wish everyone good luck! I'm counting down the days until my due date feeling more than ready to meet him now!

I've half packed my hospital bag but plan to try and get it done next week!

Is it too late to join this group? For some reason I've only just thought to look for the antenatal group section (blaming baby brain and being too busy with work)

I'm due August 27th, baby is breech at the moment but plenty of time for her to turn Starting to feel fed up and a bit bored of it all now. Especially being pregnant in this summer heat.

@Kathryn19 hello! What day are you due? I'm so hoping I don't go overdue in this heat but it's my first baby so most likely will knowing my luck.

Other than the heat I'm feeling ok. Everyone comments on how small my bump looks which I guess helps with not feeling too heavy walking around etc baby is growing fine though. I'm just a bit fed up now and want my body back, we live by the sea and I'm so used to going kayaking every summer but can't do it this year, baby is obviously worth the wait though. Just want to meet her now, has anyone else felt the last trimester is dragging? I felt the first two trimesters went by so quickly.

I get similar bump comments. Today in fact the woman running the nursery we visited said my bump was "tiny" (which is an exaggeration) and a body pump cover instructor was shocked at when baby is due... good job I know she's a good size or I'd stress haha. But agree i also feel very lucky that my aches and pains have been limited to normal pregnancy levels and nothing serious.
I feel that time is still racing at the moment... impatient to meet baby but everything is so busy I still feel that it is going fast

Hi all, welcome to the newbies :-) I've had a nice week "relaxing" and taking time before the baby arrives.

I’m v.late to the party but due on August 1st, hope it’s ok to join in
This is my first pregnancy and we don’t know what we’re having, though when we had our 20 week scan (feels like forever ago) i didn’t see anything between baby’s legs so I’m wondering if it’s a girl...not long til we find out!
I feel like being pregnant has gone by so fast even though 40 weeks is a bloomin long time!
Waking up at 4am and not being able to sleep again isn’t fun but as they say...practice for when baby’s here

Congratulations @Beansmeansheinz.. not long to go at all! Know what you mean about the sleep.. not sure if I'm pleased I've proved to myself I can function on a lot less, or just annoyed I'm not getting to sleep while I have the time!!

Do we have any babies yet?

I've been getting pains on and off today, down my back, into my bum and around my hips 😬.

Midwife came this morning for a home check and said she's definitely engaged 😬.
