Thanks for the wishes. I’ve got my scan on Thursday so will report back. Xxx

keebo · 02/06/2019 21:13

🤞 for you @Cobblestones. We've had a busy week painting the nursery. It now looks very very empty (used to have a double bed) but I don't want to just fill it for the sake of it.
My bump is extraordinarily active at the moment (29+3). I count kicks every evening at 9pm (using Count the Kicks app) and today it only took 3mins 30secs to do 10 kicks. Most of which were massive ones. I think I'll miss the movements when I eventually pop.

Hi All
Sorry haven’t posted in ages, hope everyone is doing ok?

I’m intrigued about what people have been saying about having a neat bump. People keep telling me my bump is neat ( but I feel huge tbh 😂)
Also having a girl too 💖

Another 6 weeks left at work too, ugh.

Blueberry2018 · 05/06/2019 22:39

@OctoberGirl91 Not placenta Previa, its on 2?!? And needs to be 2.8 or something?

OctoberGirl91 · 05/06/2019 22:48

I had my scan yesterday and mines still a major complete previa as they called it completely covering and hasn't moved at all. Seeing them again 2nd July they don't expect it to have moved and booking me for section between 36-37 after my next scan. Just gotta take it easy and not over do it they said xx

greystar30 · 06/06/2019 08:50

Sorry to hear it's not moved, rest up then @OctoberGirl91 x

sacrecoeur0712 · 07/06/2019 10:38

Hi all,

I've not been on the thread for a while but hope all is well. Just saw this article and just had to share - a reminder our bodies are doing an amazing job! I'll try not to be so hard on myself next time I need an afternoon nap Grin

August 2019: thread 5, 20 week scans, bumps and cravings
keebo · 09/06/2019 21:53

I've napped both days this weekend - the window of feeling energetic that was supposed to be trimester 2 was short lived, I only got it a couple if weeks ago! Any one back to just knackered all the time?
I just did some kick counting, thinking back a month or so someone posted that the midwife advised you should feel 10kicks between 10mins and 2 hours. I know my baby is extremely active (all midwives, sonographers etc comment on it) but tonight we got a record - 10 kicks in 27seconds! I'm not sure I'll ever get the chance to sleep again once baby appears!

ScotsBaby2 · 09/06/2019 22:13

@keebo I'm exhausted too. I wish I could nap everyday atm. I'm going with regular movements checks and only getting concerned if baby deviates from those. I find the 10 kicks in 2 hours hard to remember to do/judge and most of the time baby is quiet for longer than 2 hours l.

How is everyone getting on?

PhoebeBear · 09/06/2019 22:15

Had my baby shower today/ bbq
Been great but needing a nap now
I've noticed baby lying on right side a lot now and a lot more wriggles and rolls. I keep hearing about the 'fanny daggers' and I've started to feel them now! Catches me off guard and I'll get a massive kick down there! Wow

Kathryn19 · 09/06/2019 22:35

@keebo my baby has been crazy active like that tonight too!
@PhoebeBear I find it so funny when the baby lies on one side and the bump goes all lopsided. Happens at least once every day that I notice.

I was hoping to work from home twice this week to get naps in, but sadly tomorrow I need to go through data and calculations with my manager so can't really work from my couch. Will power through!

Bakingabean · 10/06/2019 06:58

@phoebebear mine has been lying on his side for weeks I think. So his head is down, back to the left and he likes to stretch all his limbs out at once making the left side of my bump stick right out! I can feel the whole curve of his back! It's so weird!

Oh and I've had fanny daggers too. ouch!

ABearandABump · 10/06/2019 18:37

Been AWOL for a while. Had a quick read through and I can't believe we're already so close to the final hurdle!

Has anyone else found that their appetite has gone? I've got an appt with my mw tomorrow but I'm literally forcing food down.

Xx

Kathryn19 · 10/06/2019 19:49

@ABearandABump yes! Have forgotten about lunch a couple of times...

Jokie · 10/06/2019 20:04

Hi all,

I've been AWOL too. It's been absolutely manic. Hope that everyone is alright and doing well

ABearandABump · 10/06/2019 20:40

@Kathryn19 I think that's the reason I'm getting really painful cramps in my legs 😬. I've set an alarm 3x a day each day!

Xx

Kathryn19 · 10/06/2019 21:26

@ABearandABump very good thinking! I did pre make lunch to take to work this week so I'd be more likely to eat

PhoebeBear · 10/06/2019 21:32

Every morning I've been waking up and stretching to get cramp in my legs! It's awful but I forget it keeps happening whenever I stretch while half asleep 😣

Blueberry2018 · 10/06/2019 22:10

Meet my little girl guys!! Shes looking good. Try 2 of 4d scan as she was lay breach 2 weeks ago with both hands covering face. All good this eve though. Scan weds to see if placenta has moved. Hope you're all well. Not long to go for us now!!

keebo · 10/06/2019 22:28

@ABearandaBump I have no appetite either, though DH makes sure I eat if he's in but he's going away for a few days with work. I might have to set an alarm.
I've also had to give up swimming because the cramps were too much ☹️

I need help ladies - I have a special evening event in a couple of weeks and I'm supposed to wear something like you would wear to the Oscars, i.e. a ball gown or cocktail dress. Obviously I have neither that I can currently fit into! I need to get hold of something pretty quickly that isn't going to cost me too much (up to about £30 is ok but more than that for a 1 off is too much I think). I can't find anything! All of Amazon / eBay etc have too long shipping times and everywhere else is either too expensive or the dresses are horrid. Why do they either have no straps (hello! Pregnancy means your boobs need more support than a strapless bra can provide, or at least mine do) or they have long sleeves which seems odd for June - although fine today, it's freezing. Any ideas where I could look? I've tried all the usual high st brands and well-known mat wear like seraphine and happy mama.

sacrecoeur0712 · 11/06/2019 06:34

@ABearandABump @PhoebeBear I keep getting legs cramps too, especially when I'm half awake. I'm still eating plenty though so that's not the cause for me!

@keebo have you looked at Asos? They have some formal maternity wear and often have a sale section.

Jokie · 11/06/2019 13:54

@keebo: I looked on serenity after recommendations from the girls on the FB group. Absolutely lovely dress and it's perfect for formal occasions

greystar30 · 11/06/2019 15:11

I had my first growth measurement today (I'm 29+6) and after a sh*tty week, this is not what I wanted to see.Sad Looks like I'm having a massive baby. I just want to cry and cross my legs!!!

Jokie · 11/06/2019 15:38

@greystar30 : how accurate are those scans? My DD was predicted to be over 4kg and came out at 2.7kg.
