Found you all.

Fuppy · 03/03/2019 00:13

Anyone else really suffering with PGP/SPD? Feel like I'm going to split into about 2 or 3 pieces! 😭

EverythingNow · 03/03/2019 09:15

@Fuppy miraculously I'm not.... yet! I had it in pregnancy 2 and 3. 3 was worse than 2 and started earlier.

I had group physio with 2 and individual with 3. The individual physio was really helpful in managing rather than stopping pain. I was given a support belt and a massive Tubey grip. The Tubey grip was really good.

I'm 18wks today and on my feet all day at work so id expected it to kick in by now. I'm hoping it doesnt at all!

Have you been referred?

milly2000 · 03/03/2019 12:23

Hi all, new thread!

I've been getting regular headaches, but I'm prone to them at the best of times, my midwife said it last perfectly normal though nothing to worry about.

I found I am having a baby boy 💙 due date 11 August! I've just noticed I've slipped off the list. The scan was amazing and very clearly a boy!

I was also told my placenta is at the front, I'm sure I've felt baby movements though, but now I'm worried I won't feel much at all through the whole pregnancy! Has anyone had any experience with this before?

X

genome · 03/03/2019 12:28

Could I join you? I'm expecting dc4. My due date is 22nd by my dates or 18th by scan, although my other were all late so I suspect this one won't make an appearance until around the 30th!

EverythingNow · 03/03/2019 12:46

@genome. I'm also expecting dc4 and expecting a late one! I'm due 4th August but more likely it will be 18th as 2/3 Have been induced at 42wks!

@milly2000 I had an anterior placenta with dd3 so didn't feel her til gone 18wks possibly later, but once she was bigger and moving regularly I felt.her as much as the other 2.

milly2000 · 03/03/2019 14:09

@EverythingNow that's good to hear, I'm 17 weeks now and I'm sure I've felt a few small movements but nothing regular. I was worried I was let going to be able to feel a thing for the entire pregnancy!

Whoopsies · 03/03/2019 14:47

Hi. Found you all!! 18+1 here and finally been feeling kicks the last few days. Got anomaly scan on 14th.

keebo · 03/03/2019 15:51

Thanks for the tips on sling libraries. I've had a hunt near me and found baby clothes libraries too which might be useful.
We had a private scan this wkends to ease MC worries and it really worked. So far, everything seems to be ok. 5 fingers and toes clearly visible on each limb which is amazing! I'll try to post a photo but so far it won't upload.
@chiatta and @milly2000 my placenta is anterior so the sonographer said I won't feel movement for a few weeks yet but when it comes it might be relentless - the little one hasn't stopped wriggling throughout the last 2 scans! Bodes well for a restful pregnancy and peaceful baby 🤪

MrsRyan15 · 03/03/2019 17:06

@Whoopsies I have my scan in the 14th aswell. Not long now!!!

PinkLady89x · 03/03/2019 18:11

Thanks for all the info on the headaches! I don't normally get any and it's just been a bit weird to get one everyday for a whole week but today I strangely haven't got one - hoping it's just a blip!

On another note, is anyone else still being sick quite a lot? I'm almost 15 weeks and throwing up everything I eat that's more than a bag of crisps. I wasn't sick at all the whole first trimester but did feel nausea all the time. Since about 13 weeks I've been sick after every meal. It feels like my food is just sitting in my chest and uncontrollably comes out after about an hour. Do you think I'm still absorbing anything? I hope so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fuppy · 03/03/2019 18:27

@EverythingNow No I've not spoken to GP yet as was directed to a one off antenatal appointment led by a physiotherapist to give 'tips' on PGP/SPD pain, but I'll have to see GP for referral as it's steadily getting worse and I really want to avoid taking strong painkillers.

I knew I was lucky last pregnancy to avoid it! Grin Fingers are crossed that you don't get it!

Cobblestones · 03/03/2019 19:18

Looks like MN is also suffering baby brain asking for our passwords! 😂

I’ve come in here after a while and it’s grest to see all the positive discussions about pram choices etc. DC1 here so I’m completely clueless but for some reason not yet ready to buy stuff..

18 weeks now and can feel very light movements which half the time I suspect is gas... so gassy and so constipated! Is anyone else choked? I’m thinking of taking fybogel but waiting to ask the MW if it’s okay to do

MrsH1990 · 03/03/2019 20:31

Just following! X

Teachermummy83 · 03/03/2019 20:36

Just checking in again ladies.
I’m away for a second dating scan tomorrow - hopefully we can see properly this time! Think I’m 14+4 so slightly behind most of you.
Loving Pram recommendations - I’m clueless!
@pinklady89x I’m feeling more nauseous now than earlier. I’m really funny with smells and tooth brushing, Not actually sick too often but wretching lots.

QueenofFox · 03/03/2019 20:47

I'm still feeling very sick, although haven't been sick for a week at nearly 17 weeks. Didn't have any sickness with my other two!

I've also been getting the headache and some mild pelvic pain so booked in a pregnancy massage which has worked wonders with both. Don't know how long it will last though!

Bakingabean · 03/03/2019 21:57

@cobblestones my friend was telling me earlier about lactulose. Said it worked wonders but advised to only have a little bit at a time otherwise things can move too swiftly!

We went to the baby show today and we're so overwhelmed by the choice of pranks. We spent a fair amount of time just wandering around staring at stuff! It felt weird testing them all out! We did end up buying a pram though.

And tonight baby is very active! Enough for DP to just about feel him too! I swear the kid is having a party in there right now.

Jelliestogether · 04/03/2019 06:34

We also went to the baby show yesterday, got a good deal on our pushchair and car seat. Brought a few other bits but I don't think I'll buy much more until my 20 week scan, not really sure why though!
Got my 16 week check on Wednesday. Felt a few popping bubble sensation at times but not regularly, hoping to start to feel baby more regularly soon.

Poppy012 · 04/03/2019 07:05

Ah thought the other thread was quiet now I know why ha 🙈

genome · 04/03/2019 07:19

@EverythingNow Babies getting too comfy Grin What are your age gaps? My eldest two are 18 months, then 2 years 3 months and this one will be almost 3 years.

My placenta was anterior for my third as well, I felt her movements a little later than my others but I could feel her regularly and well after about 20 weeks I think.

UnicornDust17 · 04/03/2019 08:29

@Cobblestones lactulose is good, it's a softener so if there's a blockage it may not help with that initially but it should help keep things moving afterwards.

Also, someone gave me advice to up fibre so I have all bran type cereal with raisins for breakfast plus make sure I'm drinking enough...

Kcjoe · 04/03/2019 15:07

Finally!!! After 2 horrendous weeks, my cvs results are back and they are clear! 😁full results aren't going to be back yet. And we're having a girl 💖💖💖 I have a boy and my partner has a girl already. Scan next week to check heart but at the cvs they said no sign of issues that they could tell at that point x

Chocolate89 · 04/03/2019 15:38

@millie2000 i have an anterior placenta too, and have the exact same worry! Havent felt anything yet really, but apparently its very common, and as the uterus grows upwards the placenta can move up too. Xx

@kcjoe ah thats fantastic news!! So delighted for you xxxx

ScotsBaby2 · 04/03/2019 15:54

@Kcjoe great news! 💖💖💖 you must be so relieved.
