New thread!

Sorry, don't know if someone else was planning to do this. Just noticed how close we were to being cut off on the last thread.

@RosieposiePuddingandPi yes there is a Facebook group but it's a closed group so you can't search for it ! You can still be added though , if you want to message me your email address I can ask someone to add you

BeckyButterfly · 18/02/2019 17:17

@ReginaPhalange89 I was thinking of checking out the Facebook group actually. Would I be able to do the same? I wasn’t keen on the idea before as I haven’t really put anything on Facebook about being pregnant but if it’s just a closed group, I think I might try it.

SnailorSwift · 18/02/2019 18:10

Would be grateful if someone could add me to the Facebook group too please 😊

Trying2bemum · 18/02/2019 18:20

Can totally relate to the anxiety over here. Has anyone else had a feeling of pressure low down in the abdomen? It's been happening on and off today and it's really unnerving. It's not pain or ache, it's just pressure like someone pushing down right low down

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 18/02/2019 18:29

Ah thanks @ReginaPhalange89 you're a star ☺

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 18/02/2019 18:30

@Trying2bemum I've been getting that. On and off today and all pregnancy really. I've been told it's everything stretching.

Trying2bemum · 18/02/2019 18:33

Thanks @ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts - I don't like it!

Trying2bemum · 18/02/2019 18:41

Also I felt skeptic before but now I'm convinced - baby brain is a thing. Saturday Ieft my food shopping on the platform at the train station, this morning I dropped and smashed my iPhone and this evening I got on the wrong train. Just waiting for DH to pick me up now Sad

TwinkleDay · 18/02/2019 18:51

I have felt baby moving quite a bit today it felt light bubbles being blown quite high up actually. They must of been having a good shuffle around... still no kicks from the outside

Though I admit defeat at 21 weeks I can no longer roll over (and plank) in the bath 😂

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 18/02/2019 18:56

Oh @Trying2bemum I had baby brain sooo badly first time round, poor you! I'm not convinced my brain ever really recovered as I'm still quite forgetful now Hmm
I also had a lot of that pressured feeling a couple of weeks ago and the midwife said it's just stretching and nothing to worry about. Still pretty disconcerting though.

Baby is smashing about something fierce this evening, enough that I've seen my tummy 'jump' a couple of times. It's making me feel a bit queasy tbh.

Capybaras · 18/02/2019 19:05

Oh congratulations on the girl @RosieposiePuddingandPi !

We had our scan this morning and found out we're having a boy! He was little wriggler though so couldn't get all the measurements so having a rescan to get them!

I shed a little tear on hearing he was a boy too! Apparently I have an anterior placenta but I've been feeling baby since around 16 weeks so was quite surprised to hear this! Maybe it's because he's so fidgety!

Kentishgal · 18/02/2019 19:31

Congratulations on the scans. Had some horrible news today - an nct friend from my first pregnancy just miscarried on her 7th round of ivf and with her last eggs. I was excited to be having a fellow nct friend on mat leave - dont know what to say to her. Hope she doesn't avoid me now but it's going to be hard. She said her boss also announced her pregnancy today making it even harder news to take.

TwinkleDay · 18/02/2019 20:07

@Capybaras congratulations on the little boy news how lovely! I recon when I give birth and find out what gender baby it I will be an emotional wreck.. I cried at the first scan with no symptoms but have waited for the 'right moment' for years.

@Kentishgal omg that's terrible.. poor lady! Don't make yourself feel bad though I'm sure she's still thrilled for you .. and it's not your fault at all... there is always the foster and adopt route bless her

Giraffe888 · 18/02/2019 20:18

Congratulations on the scans and another boy and girl to add to the group 💙💗

I’ve got horrendous stomach pains from trapped wind tonight 🙁 id usually use a hot water bottle to ease it but I don’t want to use one in pregnancy.

Still no feelings or flutters here at 17+2 x

Giraffe888 · 18/02/2019 20:19

@kentishgal I’m so sorry for your friend. Don’t feel bad for your position though as hard as it may feel xx

Kentishgal · 18/02/2019 20:23

I know and she has one little one already so she's really thankful for her, but still so tough. I reckon I'd not want to be around pregnant women though. I'll give it some time and then check in on her again at the end of the week.

cravingmilkshake · 18/02/2019 20:27

I'm 18 + 1 with first baby (girl) and absolutely no feelings. 20 week scan on 6th March. Something wrong with placenta and low pappa- so I get an additional one at 34 weeks on 10th June!

Chinks123 · 18/02/2019 20:29

I’m having a boy too, I think my comment got lost last night 💙

AIDE2424 · 18/02/2019 20:31

@Giraffe888 if no better try rennies deflatine, safe to use in pregnancy recommended by doctor, and 1 tablet under my tongue and shortly after it had dissapered!xx

AIDE2424 · 18/02/2019 20:32

*disappeared

Giraffe888 · 18/02/2019 20:35

@chinks123 sorry there was a lot to catch up on this morning! Congratulations, great to have another boy join the minority!

@AIDE2424 great thank you, I’ll get some tomorrow x

ReginaPhalange89 · 18/02/2019 20:39

* if anyone was thinking about joining the fb group*

Just got this message ...
"We're going to sort out a 'deadline' date, likely to be mid march once all July due dates have hit 20 weeks and after that we won't accept any new members, if you could let any Mumsnet people know that would be great xx"

If anyone wants to be added send me a message , I think I have to add you as a FB friend first so you can be invited but I can delete you again after.

I still prefer this thread but I do use the fb group too . Feels like 2 separate groups to me now right enough even though most started off here !

Chinks123 · 18/02/2019 20:40

@Giraffe888 Don’t worry! I just know there weren’t many boys so wanted to add mine to the list.

I can’t stop thinking about his little face on the 4d scan, I just have absolutely no boy names..I suppose I’ve still got a very long time to find one!

Giraffe888 · 18/02/2019 20:48

I feel like here and the fb group are different...probably because I don’t know who’s who on the fb group from here!

@chinks123 boys names are hard aren’t they! I’ve been shopping today and seen some beautiful boys clothes. I thought I’d struggle as I don’t like dark colours or denim on babies x

Kentishgal · 18/02/2019 20:49

Congratulations chinks123. I don't have Facebook - am I missing out?!
