New thread!

Sorry, don't know if someone else was planning to do this. Just noticed how close we were to being cut off on the last thread.

BeckyButterfly that's exactly what I thought! I wouldn't have minded one myself because of my dodgy spine. But, as it happens, our SilverCross Wayfarer arrived today!!! 😁 I can't wait for DH to walk through the door and see the box!

Chinks that's very sad indeed about sad news. I'm not on that group but can't even imagine the devastation of anything going wrong at this late stage.

I had a visit to the emergency maternity walk-in today for really severe side pain (I called it 9/10 severe, it was almost blinding). They didn't think it was anything to do with the baby herself, who appears to be in rude health, but rather with the weight of the pregnancy possibly sometimes blocking some of the tubes into and out of my kidneys, so stuff pools in there and causes pain when it builds up. Or something like that. Had a few non-pregnancy ultrasounds and waiting to hear back. Who knew!

Yukka · 05/03/2019 18:59

Ah lovely to see the latest scan photos! Congrats ladies! Thursday next week can't come soon enough. Just been for acupuncture session though and she can feeling a rolling pulse which means baby is doing fine . . .apparantly . . . but I totally trust her, she 100% helped me get pregnant.

@ReginaPhalange89 that type of scenario makes me think that some staff might just like to have a laugh to see peoples shocked faces! I mean you could be tempted, just to spice up the day :) I'm sure that's not the case, but I'd say DNA is right over the Sonographers initial view!

I've deffo decided its a no to mum being physically at the birth. I'm going to find a way to casually put it out there. I spoke to my sister last night she was equally surprised at the things she said and wondered if she was just rambling (or drunk!) and not really thinking about what she was saying. She does that alot . . . . I love her and admire her . . but jeez!

I can't bare the thought of bad news at this stage . .I had a girl at work who miscarried at 18w and at the time I remember thinking, gosh, that's so far along for something to go wrong, but, now I understand it a bit more, and its not impossible. But, we have stay positive xx

TwinkleDay · 05/03/2019 19:40

Congratulations on all the lovely scan photos... and @ReginaPhalange89 baby boy with the little willy... did make me laugh.. glad little one is all well after all the scares you have had :D

TwinkleDay · 05/03/2019 20:44

Also my baby today has been very very active... so much so I think they have either been doing the hockey cockey or gangnam style... on and off since 6am until now!!

OneMoreWish · 05/03/2019 21:31

I was going to ask others re headaches - I've probably had them on and off for several weeks. Blood pressure fine and no other symptoms so midwife said hormonal. However last night I started to get a stonker of one and it's lasted all night and all day today and paracetamol hasn't touched it. Mum has blood pressure monitor so I've been checking it and it's fine .

Anyone else still regularly getting them?

BeckyButterfly · 05/03/2019 21:56

@StargazyDrifter ooo exciting about your pram arriving!

@Yukka the comment about her helping you get pregnant really made me chuckle (immature I know!)

ReginaPhalange89 · 05/03/2019 22:46

I am utterly exhausted tonight !
My hair was long over due to be coloured so I decided to dye it myself . After 9pm 🙈 My back is agony from leaning over the bath ! Don't think I'll be able to do this again I'll probably have to go to a salon next time 🙈 my arm is also so achey from my injections earlier ! Feel like im going to be in so much pain tomorrow now

GiGi18 · 05/03/2019 23:48

@OneMoreWish I've been getting them on and off and I think they are sinus related, especially when the paracetamol don't touch them. I suffer from bad sinuses a lot so not being able to take most decongestant/nasal sprays is tough.

Kentishgal · 06/03/2019 06:41

Congratulations on the scans! Bit worrying about the sonographer regina! Last time I had terrible pregnancy insomnia, I kind of forgot how disruptive it was - and its started again - last night I was awake from about 1:30am (it's getting earlier and earlier each night) - I thought my hypnotherapy might help but not really - I was falling asleep for ten mins then wide awake again. Anyone got any tips on how to beat it??

wombatron · 06/03/2019 15:00

I feel rubbish today. I'm shattered and itchy. Itchy face, itchy scalp, itchy legs, itchy foof... itchy!!!

Discharge turned to thrush and my baby is kicking my cervix or doing something which hurts.

Hurrumph!

HchyScott · 06/03/2019 15:16

@wombatron sending hugs, hope the thrush clears up, maybe get the itching otherwise checked out though? Get your feet up when you get home!
Having a horrible day too, been to the drs for acid reflux and been prescribed some tablets thank goodness, so tired after being kept awake with pain last night. My complete bitch of a boss has been horrible today too, I can tell I’m going to be punished until I go on maternity leave. They’ll have a shock when If I don’t go back!!!

RooKangaroo · 06/03/2019 15:21

Sorry @wombatron, that sounds like a really rough day. is the itching normal? Given how much there is, might be worth mentioning to your midwife? (Don't want to worry you, almost certainly it's just stretching skin and hormones, but could possibly be a symptom of something else) x

wombatron · 06/03/2019 15:33

No the itchy is just dry skin. I can see it. I'm like a lizard! And the thrush, well that's just itchy anyway. the pharmacist gave me the cream over the counter so I gently put that in last night, hopefully it clears up a bit before my weekend away this Saturday. Be nice!

Scan tomorrow. 19+4. Nervous and excited, there's been a few losses in the fb group so I'm just keeping all I have crossed all is well. I'm sure I can feel it moving around!

BeckyButterfly · 06/03/2019 18:19

I’ve been shattered all day today but have no idea why because I slept alright last night.

My husband nearly made me cry when I got in from work. All I’ve talked about for days is wanting cheese scones but they didn’t have any in the shop when we went the other day so he made me some from scratch for when I got in from work 😊 I’m so emotional today! I genuinely cried at an advert with a kid playing football whilst her blind dad stands on the sideline. I’m such a mess! 😂

BeckyButterfly · 06/03/2019 18:26

Also, I’m on another July 2019 post which I’ve just tried to reply on and it says the thread has been closed..! People were just posting at lunchtime today. Weird!

FuzzyPixel · 06/03/2019 18:52

I'm with you on the tiredness @BeckyButterfly! I could sleep for days.

We had our anomaly scan today. All went well, baby is developing nicely which is a relief. We're still team yellow. It was lovely to see baby again, and I feel like it's going to go by so quick now. We bought a couple of outfits after the scan. I think we're ready to order the pram and start picking the nursery set now, which is mega exciting.

TwinkleDay · 06/03/2019 19:47

@BeckyButterfly yes emotions running high here... decided to listen to some of the prodigy's hits on the way home in memory of Keith ... sobbing on the way home in the car to omen!!! Pahahahha x

Trying2bemum · 06/03/2019 20:08

Hi all xx am 20 weeks today and had our anomaly scan today too! All went well, such a relief. Cried happy tears. Team yellow here too!

Glad to hear I'm not the only emotional one. Last night I tried to flip my pancake over and it buckled , stuck together and became a lump of batter. I instantly started crying and had to look out the window to stop. Ridiculous.

Anyone else have to wee all the time, but hardly have much to wee when you get there?

BeckyButterfly · 06/03/2019 20:20

@TwinkleDay ahh don’t even get me started on Keith!

@Trying2bemum I find that even if I haven’t drunk a lot, I still need to wee just as much. So if I haven’t drank much I don’t pass much urine when I got to the loo but still have the urge.

stephn88 · 06/03/2019 20:49

@BeckyButterfly it's because it has reached 1k posts

BeckyButterfly · 06/03/2019 21:21

@stephn88 ohh okay, thanks 🙂

wombatron · 06/03/2019 21:25

Congrats on the scans for today. Mine is tomorrow afternoon (5.20pm). I'm quite nervous now. Hoping I get some sleep tonight at least.

wombatron · 06/03/2019 21:32

Crikey I've just seen a due November 2019 thread. I didn't realise how far we'd come till I clocked that!

Chinks123 · 06/03/2019 22:32

Has anyone else started with heartburn? I had it horrendously last time but not this early on. Can’t complain as it’s my only pregnancy symptom but it’s driving me mad!

HchyScott · 06/03/2019 22:54

@Chinks123 literally started yesterday, DH had to do a late nigh trip to Tesco and normal gaviscon didn’t work so I went to the drs today. They’ve prescribed me tablets and gaviscon advanced so I can take both when it’s bad. Last night was horrrendous, hurt to breathe in properly! Dr said it’s probably going to get gradually worse so that’s something to look forward to lol!
