Sorry, long update coming as I haven't been on here for a few days....
@StargazyDrifter - a self-folding pram?!? As in, you press a button and it just folds itself up? That is amazing.
@AIDE2424 - Breastfeeding (or not) is your choice to make and you need to be comfortable with that choice. It sounds like you're making it with all the right information (i.e. you know why it's good; you also know your mental health, etc.), so it's an informed choice and 100% yours to make. That doesn't make you a bad person at all.
I do think it's really important for healthcare professionals to encourage breastfeeding because while the country seems to know it's the best thing to do, the rates of breastfeeding in this country are incredibly low. Lower than many other Western countries. And some people need that information and knowledge to be encouraged to do it. But no one can be forced to do it/not do it, and shouldn't be shamed into doing it/not doing it. For me, it's about ensuring mothers can make their own, educated choices, with all the relevant information.
@AIDE2424 and @BeckyButterfly - yes, I keep waking up on my back, despite the pregnancy pillow I have! Hoping I'll just stop doing it as it gets more uncomfortable.
@blueeyedviking - love that you're going to do a spreadsheet! I love the organisation dedication.
@cravingmilkshake - good luck for the scan today! Glad it was brought forward.
@Yukka - belated Happy Birthday! Hope you had some lovely celebrations. Ultimately, you're the one who's pushing the baby out. It is 100% your call on who you want in the room with you and no one has a right to say they should be there. In your situation I'd tell my Mum no, but I also don't envy you doing that as it doesn't sound like she would take it well :( And agree with @Chinks123 - the medical staff have done it before! And they'll be the ones to help you manage it.
@Beckanne90 - hope you're ok and feeling better. Fingers crossed the consultant has a decent plan and you feel reassured by what they want to do.
