New thread!

Sorry, don't know if someone else was planning to do this. Just noticed how close we were to being cut off on the last thread.

beckybutterfly I know - I feel embarrassed as if they're thinking "what does she want this time?" How's everyone finding pregnancy yoga? I enjoy it but I find my class aren't massively chatty and they're all a lot further on with their pregnancies. The actual yoga is very gentle though and it's nice for a bit if relaxation - I've not noticed it aggregating the pgp so far.

BeckyButterfly · 28/02/2019 14:54

Kentishgal I found the exact same at my yoga class. I’ve only been once because of other commitments and I do keep meaning to go back. Like you say, I enjoyed the yoga and it was relaxing but definitely not a social experience!

Capybaras · 28/02/2019 15:33

I've been really enjoying my pregnancy yoga classes, find them mega relaxing and it seems I'm quite lucky that it's a chatty bunch!

I've been having random stabbing pains directly to the left side of my belly button for the last hour or so - like little sharp pains, anyone else had this or any idea what it is? I had a few stretchy pains higher up yesterday and my belly above my belly button is poking out now, so do you think it's to do with that? Can feel baby still kicking around in there and no other symptoms so not too worried yet!

AineFreckles · 28/02/2019 17:21

Thank you! Apart for catching ever bug going in December i think i’ve got off quite lightly so far. Just the usual complaints .

Got my scan tomorrow, but i’m not finding out. Keeping it a surprise . Nervous but looking forward to seeing them again x

AnnaBegins · 28/02/2019 18:18

Aine I've also caught every bug going - had proper flu last week which has really knocked me.

HchyScott · 28/02/2019 18:19

Absolutely loved yoga, not a lot of conversation but it’s supposed to be so relaxing that we didn’t talk but to briefly introduced ourselves. It’s a small class of 8 and I’m the only one not under consultant care so I got a round of applause haha! Very useful birthing info and positions to help in birth, I love the logical side of it, can’t wait for next week!

Jxtina86 · 28/02/2019 18:45

I wanted to do pregnancy yoga but it's so expensive around here and at really awkward times. Going to get a maternity swimsuit as a pay day treat and try swimming instead as it's easier to go at a convenient time.

In other news I just got a pair of over bump jeans from eBay and I don't think I can ever go back to normal jeans. So. Comfy. It's dreamy!

ReginaPhalange89 · 28/02/2019 19:02

I've never tried yoga before but im not very active so I don't think I'd manage it! I'd also be terrified in case I farted or something 😂

ReginaPhalange89 · 28/02/2019 19:03

@Jxtina86 how good are over the bump jeans though! It took me months to stop wearing mine after my last baby haha. Going back to normal jeans just feels so uncomfortable!

Jxtina86 · 28/02/2019 19:07

@ReginaPhalange89 I'm never going back! I've got some under bump ones that are okay but these are a game changer!

TwinkleDay · 28/02/2019 19:59

Oh my god some arse in the carpark parked so close to my car today and an angle that I could only just get in my car! If I was any bigger I would of had to get a colleague to go in through passenger side and move it!

I was so angry and hyped up I went round the shitroen ds3, pushed the wing mirrors in, pulled up all the wiper blades and wrote TWAT in the dirt down the side!!!

Some people AngryAngry

BirthdayKake · 28/02/2019 20:32

@TwinkleDay just wait until people do that when you have a baby in a car seat!

wombatron · 28/02/2019 20:52

Hope everyone's doing ok. I'm a bit behind but think I've caught up on it all. Had some light bleeding today (nearly 19 weeks) but hoping that's normal. Midwife seems not too concerned so I will just keep an eye on it.
Thanks for the link to the baby box thing - I just completed my little quiz and sent off for mine! I will keep that in the lounge I think rather than a Moses basket initially!

BeckyButterfly · 28/02/2019 20:53

@wombatron that’s what I’m going to do with mine 😊

TwinkleDay · 28/02/2019 21:08

@BirthdayKake we have parent and child spaces in the country I am in so hoping to utilise them... if not and it happens I will let down there tyres.. don't put it past me

wombatron · 28/02/2019 21:11

@BeckyButterfly have you received yours yet?
What would you put it on do you know? I don't think I can leave it on the floor - the dogs may jump down from the sofa and land in it. Do they need to be kept next to you or just in the same room? I can keep the box on the table in the day but it's a few steps away and I won't be able to see in to the box if I'm on the sofa

BeckyButterfly · 28/02/2019 21:18

@wombatron I picked mine up earlier in the week but it’s flat packed and I haven’t built it up yet. It is literally just a cardboard box with a mattress to go inside. I’m planning on just keeping mine on the floor but I don’t have the issue of having a dog (I have house bunnies but I’ll just keep them out of the living room when I’m in there). I can’t se why you’d need to see in at all times because you wouldn’t usually watch the baby at all times when they are asleep (like during the night when you are asleep too) I would say it depends how wide the table is because you don’t want to risk it falling off there if the baby moves.

wombatron · 28/02/2019 21:26

Ah that would be ok. It's a dining table so won't fall off. I've got another one I can use so perhaps I'll do that. I'm excited! This time next week I'll have had my scan!

BeckyButterfly · 28/02/2019 22:35

@wombatron that should be fine then 😊 I was picturing a coffee table or something like that. My scan is on Tuesday and I really can’t wait too!!

TwinkleDay · 01/03/2019 07:15

Morning all, woken up to several full on kicks on the left from baby this morning... they must know it's Friday too!

thedust · 01/03/2019 08:07

Anyone been absolutely ravenous at the moment? I'm snacking as much as I was when I was marathon training haha. Trying to make sure I have lots of healthy snacks like plain yoghurt with fruit and oatcakes with peanut butter otherwise the temptation of the treats in work gets too much. Trying not to 'eat for two' especially as I've been identified as high risk for gestational diabetes and have the glucose tolerance test next month.

BirthdayKake · 01/03/2019 08:27

Definitely still ravenous all the time. It's SO annoying. Definitely my worst pregnancy yet! I don't eat anything healthy either but still have morning sickness symptoms so it's hard. Ugh.

Giraffe888 · 01/03/2019 08:30

I signed up to that website for the baby box but it didn’t come up with a quiz to get it? Where have I gone wrong?!

BeckyButterfly · 01/03/2019 09:14

@BirthdayKake I still have morning sickness symptoms too, I was actually sick earlier in the week too.

@Giraffe888 when I did it, it was videos you were supposed to watch then a quiz at the end. Is it like that?

BeckyButterfly · 01/03/2019 09:15

Also, Giraffe888 you have to sign up then go to courses and it is the first course in safe sleeping that you do. At the end of it there is a quiz and it’ll give instructions on how to get your box.
