New thread!

Sorry, don't know if someone else was planning to do this. Just noticed how close we were to being cut off on the last thread.

@ReginaPhalange89 I've had the odd bout of cramping which I've just put down to things stretching! If it's really painful or going on for longer than what you think is usual though it wouldn't hurt to get in touch with your midwife!

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 16:30

@ReginaPhalange89 I had quite bad cramping a while ago and I rang my midwife who wasn’t worried at all. She just said it is due to everything stretching but definitely give them a call if you are worried about it. It’s better to be safe 😊

thedust · 21/02/2019 16:41

Thank you all, it was a lovely surprise. I've added a 'sex' column onto the Google doc spreadsheet - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y-XaVbeNQM-bCGlr_UxXxcBBNGUfIVQY_4htZRUpbbw/edit?usp=drivesdk if anyone wants to update with their sex after scans. We've got our John Lewis nursery appointment on Saturday so I'm gonna have to try not to go too crazy with all the cute dresses!

I don't think my poor dog has a clue! I had a few days of bad cramping at about 14 weeks. And sometimes if I move in bed too quickly it feels like I've pulled a muscle! So try to do it slower now.

Jxtina86 · 21/02/2019 17:39

Another 20 week scan here- everything was fine but baby wouldn't co-operate when it came to came to checking it's heart! Had to wriggle around, jump up and down (much to DH's amusement!) and eventually had to lie on my side to get the right angle!

We're still team yellow so after DH went back to work I popped into town to have a look at a few bits- got some plain white vests from Next, some teeny tiny socks that had '2019' on them and some sleep suits from Asda in grey/white. Can't wait to get properly stuck into buying now (trying not to go too crazy on the cute things though!)

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 18:06

@thedust that happens to me as well if I move too fast. I always feel bad and apologise to the bean 😂

ReginaPhalange89 · 21/02/2019 19:08

Anyone bought their pram yet ?
I'm not superstitious but my 20 week scan isn't til 5th March but there's someone not far from me selling a double icandy for a really good price and it looks immaculate ! I'm going to arrange to see it in the next few days but obvs she probably won't keep it for me that long if someone else is willing to buy it quicker. 😬

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 19:33

@ReginaPhalange89 I’m having a very similar dilemma! The pram I want is on offer at Mothercare so I want to get it for that price but they only do this thing now where you can take out a finance plan where you put down a deposit then pay the rest in instalments or just buy it outright. I would do the payment plan but I have this Love to Shop card which gets me 7.5% off and I can’t use that for the payment plan so I will have to just buy it outright. I wanted to wait till 20 week scan 😩

ReginaPhalange89 · 21/02/2019 19:40

Tbh @beckybutterfly you're probably better just buying outright from Mothercare anyway ! I'd be worried they'd go bust after closing so many stores recently! That is annoying though, I did the payment plan last time too ! Probably would again this time if we were buying new but just can't justify the money 🙈

Trying2bemum · 21/02/2019 19:44

Thanks @thedust Enjoy your John Lewis appointment!

@ReginaPhalange89 I get cramps too xx

Glad all well @Jxtina86 It's useful to hear all these experiences of being asked to jiggle about. It might not worry me or come as a surprise if I'm asked to do that

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 20:25

@ReginaPhalange89 I was thinking the same thing! We are lucky and my in laws are buying the pram for us so we haven’t had to worry too much.

Also, I went for my private scan this afternoon and all looked good in there. Confirmed that I’m cooking a little lady in there. She was face down and asleep though so didn’t get a very good picture. We got to see her little heart beating and her hands and feet dancing around 😊 totally in love already!

TwinkleDay · 21/02/2019 20:57

Anyone else developing a sporty cleavage ? I have about 5 spots and I don't wear perfume or moisturise there hmm 🤔

TwinkleDay · 21/02/2019 20:58

Sporty ? Spotty lol

Chinks123 · 21/02/2019 21:10

@TwinkleDay yes!! Noticed yesterday when I had a slightly low cut top on that I had a few red spots on show..my back is also really spotty suddenly. I was using my back scratcher (as dp is too lazy to tickle my back) last night and it was quite painful.

Trying2bemum · 21/02/2019 21:15

@TwinkleDay I did a few weeks ago, a bar of sulphur soap has cleared them up. It's v cheap on amazon and works a treat on spots 👍🏼

Giraffe888 · 21/02/2019 21:30

Great news on the scans!

I’ve been getting really bad spots on my neck at either side, don’t know what to use to get rid of them?

@reginaphalange89 we got our pram on Black Friday 😳 the offer was too good to miss. We paid a deposit then keep paying bits off x

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 21:36

I’ve always suffered from acne, ever since I was about 13, so I haven’t really noticed any change. I have more spots on my face than I usually do but just the same amount as I get when I’m usually on my period. I use La Roche-Posay Effaclar skincare range, it’s fab!

StargazyDrifter · 21/02/2019 22:19

Exciting about all the scan developments! We definitely have more girls on here.

Yes to the spotty cleavage as well. ☹️ I also still have that strange buzzing down there. 🙈 Forgot to ask the midwife today! The consultant MW was there to talk about my c-section. It wasn't particularly useful and I had to do a feedback questionnaire after about whether I felt reassured. Seemed a bit pointless when the consultant had already explained everything.

On cramps, not exactly the same, but I went to the emergency walk-in last week with sharp pains and twinges and they weren't worried at all. As long as there isn't bleeding or any floating dots in your eyes (can be blood pressure). That's what they said anyway.

thedust I've got my JL appointment on Sunday!

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 22:32

This is as good as we got at the scan today. Face down! 😂

lavenderBelle10 · 21/02/2019 23:29

Hi all, I’m a bit late to the party but only just joined. I’m due in the 3rd with my first baby, we’re having a little boy!. I hope I can tag along

BeckyButterfly · 21/02/2019 23:41

@lavenderBelle10 hello! It is lovely to meet you 😊

RoseBud2016 · 22/02/2019 07:45

Regina I’m 17+4 and we’ve bought our pushchair. We knew we wanted a double Uppababy Vista so I’ve been on the look out for one second hand.
One came up for £200 in immaculate condition including everything and all adaptors! Couldn’t say no at that price so we got it and it’s incredible! Such an amazing bargain.

I wouldn’t usually buy this early but ultimately it’s not actually going to make a difference to whether anything is wrong, so we went for it and so far I’m glad we have.

Yukka · 22/02/2019 07:54

Just a quick post and run been so busy this week. I’ll cstch up properly later... re the spots if they’re itchy there is a specific condition that happens in pregnancy which I have on my chest and you can get e45 itchy cream (not normal e45) from anywhere works really well xx

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 22/02/2019 09:01

I can finally say yesterday at 20+2 I felt baby kick! (Well I'm as sure as I can be!) was really lovely and had another few kicks this morning. Grin can't wait for my OH to feel it now!

SnailorSwift · 22/02/2019 09:07

That's exciting @ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts !!
