Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

How many weeks are you @LaBelleSausage - I'm 10+3 and have a similar bump! I'm definitely showing much earlier this time round!!

LaBelleSausage · 14/02/2019 16:52

Only 8+3 Blush

MunchyMunchkin · 14/02/2019 17:28

Found you all!
Got scanned at work on tues and was 8+6 so put back a few days. I feel like I’ve been in early pregnancy forever. Have been suffering with awful nausea and exhaustion this week. Barely making it through my work day.

Had the first half of my booking appointment today. Different midwife to last time but she seemed decent. Bit of banter about whether I was going to be a demanding healthcare professional or an easy going one. She seemed surprised to hear I am pretty easy going 😂😂

Hsunshine · 14/02/2019 19:47

I wondered why our chat was so quiet where had everyone gone then I realised new one Smile I am 11+4 and deff starting to look a little bigger, hopefully people think I have been eating too much cake

hodgeheg92 · 14/02/2019 20:08

Lovely to see some more scans Smile

@LaBelleSausage I've definitely got a bump too! I told a colleague today and she said she thought I looked a little peaky at breakfast club last week and thought she'd spotted a bump but thought it might be baby weight from DD Blush

Also told my headteacher who congratulated me on my timing Grin September babies work well for school and for my mat leave pay! (in theory, if little bean stays put as he/she should)

KnobJockey · 14/02/2019 21:50

Also got a bump going on at 9+1, starts the day quite small and ends up like this! This is a maternity skirt I've just ordered from Next clearance section for under a tenner- worth keeping your eye on there! Please excuse the state of the bedroom, too tired to care about it and clean.

Thought the other thread was quiet. Just realised it got full 🤦‍♀️

Tefiti2 · 14/02/2019 22:30

Oh wow @knobjockey that is a lovely little bump!

Megan2018 · 14/02/2019 22:38

I have a bump at the end of the day that makes me look about 7months pg-but it us all bloat! By morning it has gone again.

Sydneysider2019 · 15/02/2019 05:04

@Megan2018 same - the bloating is insane by the end of the day

Karigan195 · 15/02/2019 06:13

12 weeks today. Got a definite bump going on and only about 3 items of clothing fit without it being obvious. But still can’t tell anyone as waiting for the results of the NIPT! How frustrating!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/02/2019 06:25

10+2

I was so sick yesterday it was horrible. Woken up feeling the same. Urgh

Florencenotflo · 15/02/2019 06:29

Yeah 12 weeks today and the bump is out in full force! Night time it's bigger and I made myself carbonara last night. So usual bloat plus pasta bloat made me look huge 😂

Thankfully (and I hope I'm not going to jinx it now) the nausea has passed, Dd has been waking at 5:10 recently so the tiredness is still there! I have my 12 week scan on Sunday. I had a scan at 9 weeks which really helped to stop me worrying, but I'll be glad to see our little jelly bean again.

I told my boss this week. Appointments are getting booked up, and I've been feeling crap so I thought I'd better tell her. She was lovely, I knew she would be though. There are 3 huge projects starting in July, which I'm overseeing. I needed to tell her because obviously I'll probably be going mid August (DD 30th August). I thought she'd want someone else to start them off, but she still wants me to which is good! I've been looking forward to them for about a year!

Florencenotflo · 15/02/2019 06:31

@Karigan195 I can't wait for pay day, I've got maternity clothes in online baskets everywhere 😂 my jeans are so uncomfortable but I thought I'd make it to at last 16 weeks before needing maternity clothes!

happydays00 · 15/02/2019 07:06

@IVEgottheDECAF I'm pretty much the exact same dates as you and was also so sick yesterday. I seem to have 1-2 slightly better days and then an awful day. I feel awful this morning again, trying to psych myself to get up, which I know means more vomiting!!

I know you shouldn't wish it away but I'd gladly fast forward to the end of the first trimester, it feels never ending!

Karigan195 · 15/02/2019 07:50

@Florencenotflo

I’ve ordered some trousers and tights coming tomorrow as by evening normal clothes are really uncomfortable.

I literally have just some leggings and a few tunic tops that fit now.

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/02/2019 08:13

happydays i threw up three times since my last post, shouted at my dc and am now late for work Sad fuck off first trimester

Easterbuns1 · 15/02/2019 08:21

Random one but has anyone started grinding their teeth while they are sleeping? I remember doing it with my older two, my teeth are so sore this morning I had a rough night of bad dreams and I think I must be doing it more when I'm having bad dreams.

happydays00 · 15/02/2019 08:37

@IVEgottheDECAF solidarity, sister. I shouted at my daughter last night (several times). I was in tears by the time my DH got home about 8pm, it just all got a bit much.

I was supposed to be in the office today but going to work from home as I just can't face a day trying to hide how awful I feel. At least at home I can wretch/vomit away in peace!

Hang in there everyone, this too shall pass!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/02/2019 12:02

I grind my teeth anyway and chew my cheeks. I am supposed to wear a mouth guard at night, sexy.

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/02/2019 12:02

How old is your dd happydays?

boodles101 · 15/02/2019 12:17

I've realised today that sneezing is actually a thing in pregnancy and not just my cold from 5 weeks ago lingering around!

happydays00 · 15/02/2019 12:24

@IVEgottheDECAF she's 2! And too young to shout at!!

Karigan195 · 15/02/2019 12:25

Whilst anxiously awaiting NIPT results I’ve been googling how to tell from scans if baby has downs. Apparently signs include no nose bone and thicker fluid at the back of the next.

www.babycentre.co.uk/x1014434/do-babies-with-downs-syndrome-have-no-nose-bone

Can’t see the back of the neck on this scan but I’m pretty sure I see a nose bone. Would you agree?

boodles101 · 15/02/2019 13:17

Yes can see a nasal bone on your scan karigan
