Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

I'm feeling grotty as all heck... not as knocked out as you though stroan Thanks
I've definitely felt so much worse with each pregnancy! I'm 8 weeks today, so the odds of miscarriage are receding, thankfully. I really hope this bean sticks, not sure I'm up for any more first trimesters!!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 17/02/2019 10:53

Last two days i have felt better. Still drained but not sick. Unsure if its just cause not rushing around all time as weekend. Spd is setting in though. Lovely.

TwittleBee · 17/02/2019 11:48

She will have a lot more fun there I am sure Stroan I am sorry you've had to do that though as you feel so rough.

I'm also feeling rough. It's just constant throughout the day and the sick only seems to give me a rest if I'm actually eating or drinking something sugary.

So I'm 9+3 today and been having really bad cramps. I don't remember this with DS and didn't get this far with the other pregnancies so not sure if it's okay?

Karigan195 · 17/02/2019 11:51

I’m well into week 12 now and sickness is definitely abating. Still tired and get some nausea but a ton better than week 9!

Cracked and spent about £100 on maternity trousers yesterday. Loads more comfy today!

IVEgottheDECAF · 17/02/2019 11:52

Twittle im 10+4 i had a really crampy day last week. Alot of growing between 9-12 weeks i think

Megan2018 · 17/02/2019 11:55

10wks today by LMP, NIPT early Weds morning so getting scared now. Definitely tired, boobs uncomfortable at night in particular and had some ligament pain. But generally feeling ok.
Have been sick once or twice most mornings but it passes quickly. My dreams are now exclusively about telling people. I am inexplicably freaked out by this as I think everyone we know is going to be stunned, so it explains the dreams.
Just 2 more days to get through and at least I’ll know if there is a heartbeat in there!

DustyDoorframes · 17/02/2019 11:57

Yaaaay my mum has just declared she is coming to stay for week 9. I feel like the cavalry is coming... I've got a couple of v long work days with lots of travel at the beginning of week 10, which I've been really worried about. I'm now planning to spend most of week 9 in bed, bar my work days. And not think about meals...

boodles101 · 17/02/2019 11:58

9+3 here too and the exhaustion is ramping up big time. I don't ever remember being this tired with DS. I'm hoping this is the peak and it will start to get better after next week. Thankful for no sickness though.

stroan · 17/02/2019 11:59

@twittlebee I felt lots of pulling at about 9 weeks. So much growing going on!

MunchyMunchkin · 17/02/2019 12:18

9+4 here and I had to have a nap yesterday afternoon. Really hoping this pregnancy sticks as between the exhaustion and nausea I really don’t want to do this ever ever again.

It’ll be a 4yr 1 month gap here and my DD will start school then #2 arrives. So lots of change for her!

Karigan195 · 17/02/2019 12:24

@Megan2018.

Still waiting for my results. It’s very very worrying and I keep having horrible dreams about being told my baby has a problem. I just want the waiting over now

Tefiti2 · 17/02/2019 12:24

Can’t believe we’re all nearing the end of first trimester!! Does anyone have scans this week? 12+1 today and have my NHS 12 week scan tomorrow, swinging from being excited to being terrified incase something’s gone terribly wrong. I was never this much of a worrier with DC1 - who will be 6 when this baby arrives.... eek!!

TwittleBee · 17/02/2019 12:29

Good luck for tomorrow Tefiti !

Glad I'm not the only one feeling these pains! Reassuring! Does make sense with all the growing.

My dating scan is 4th March, day before we go away to Paris for a week! These next 2 week's better past quickly (as much as I hate wishing my life away....)

I had a really nice morning out with DS around the zoo today but it got me thinking how on earth I'm gonna cope carrying him about (he does mainly walk now, it's only when he gets a bit tired or wants to see into an enclosure) when I start getting heavier? Any advice from mums who've done this before?

April88 · 17/02/2019 12:32

Mine’s on Thursday, glad it’s nearly here!

Karigan195 · 17/02/2019 12:34

Mines 25th going to be nearly 14 weeks by then 🙄

stroan · 17/02/2019 12:36

@munchymunchkin in one of my very low days recently, I told DH he has to start researching a vasectomy because I’m not doing this again!!

My DD will be 3y9mo so quite a similar age gap

Whisky2014 · 17/02/2019 12:37

Oh that's a long wait karigan :(

Good luck with your scan tefiti!

I'm feel really sick and dizzy today, weird cause I've not had much of that at all really.

happydays00 · 17/02/2019 12:47

Oh @stroan that's really tough. I had HG last time and really, really sympathise for you. Try not to feel guilty about putting your DC in Nursery full time, they will definitely have more fun there and takes the pressure off you when all you need to do is rest. Have you been signed off or are you still attempting to work?

@Karigan195 that is a dismal wait for you for the dating scan!! I will have my 12 week scan at 13+4 and was a bit 😒 about that. We are having a private reassurance scan next week as will be flying over to see my DHs parents and want to be able to tell them (assuming all ok at the scan).

Week 9 was full of cramps, sickness and total exhaustion for me. I Think the nausea might be starting to slightly improve but every time I think that I seem to be hanging over the toilet 2 hours later so maybe I shouldn't jinx it. Energy levels are definitely on the up though.

@MunchyMunchkin completely agree with you - I don't ever want to have to do another first trimester again! It's the pits!!

Megan2018 · 17/02/2019 13:26

Sorry you are still waiting @karigan! How many days is it since the 2nd bloods?

I am worried I’ll be told am too early and will have to go back, but I will at least get the scan so will know if there’s anything there, so I suppose it doesn’t matter. Just more time off/time to worry!

Karigan195 · 17/02/2019 13:39

It’s been 5 days since the 2nd bloods. Should hear by Thursday at the latest.

At least I had the private scans so I know the baby is growing and there :)

bakingdiva · 17/02/2019 13:48

Glad to have found the new thread. Not been checking in lately as life has been chaotic. I had some spotting on Friday which was pretty terrifying, seems to have stopped now, but I'm paranoid every time I go to the loo! Got another scan on Friday when I'll be 9+1 so fingers crossed for you.

So exciting to see photos of the new little tiny people ❤️

MunchyMunchkin · 17/02/2019 14:42

@stroan my husband did mention it last week 😂 however you can guarantee he will be the 1:100 that gets chronic pain and I can’t be dealing with that. Plus I like not having periods on contraception so won’t be giving that up!

BBell2 · 17/02/2019 15:12

I'm knackered and moody, but mainly OHs fault. Went out yesterday afternoon for a few and came back at 5.30am no messages. I realised at 4 he wasn't in that was it, awake long past he came in reeking of spirits until my toddler got up around 6.
Then he pissed me off by asking me to find our old sling so he can give it to a colleagues grandchild?!? WTF he has barely discussed this child and now suggesting I give things away we will need in six months to someone I've never met because she rang on a Sunday to see what we have. When I said ours was far too small for this child anyway he starts researching slings...for them. Bizarre. He's taken toddler for a walk so I'm ranting and having a hot drink alone!

hodgeheg92 · 17/02/2019 15:13

@happydays00 I feel very similarly to you with the worries about lack of sleep, newborn days and having a toddler too. Looking back I absolutely hated DDs newborn days - I told anyone who would listen that I would do labour ten times over if someone else could do the first 3 months of baby life for me 😣 I hated myself, my husband and my little girl a little bit too because the sleep deprivation was unreal. I'll actively plan to co-sleep this time though because that definitely saved me last time.

I told my headteacher last week and she congratulated me on the timing Grin September is the best time to have a baby as a teacher for financial reasons.

Does anyone have any recommendations for maternity black skinny jeans? Got my maternity clothes out cos normal waistbands are making me feel more nauseous but don't have any black jeans.

IVEgottheDECAF · 17/02/2019 15:25

Think i have some newlook ones bought 3ish years ago. I like that they do different lengths as i am short
