Awww lovely! DS has been telling everyone all about his baby sister today at nursery... He told them she is coming for his birthday.... I am not keeping this baby in that long!!!!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 05/03/2019 17:50

I was laying on my bed this morning and the baby did a massive kick into my hip and there was an audible pop. Genuinely thought I was going to stand up with a massive gush of water. So far nothing but my hip is almost agony! Anyone have any ideas what the pop could have been? I've done some googling and it says it could be an air bubble in the waters that has popped but I don't see how that could be?

ballanj · 05/03/2019 17:58

Congrats @Hermagsjesty wow that was some quick arrival! I'm crossing my fingers for the same 🀞🏼

I was up for nearly 4 hours with chronic heartburn last night, which I thought I was over the worst of. Clearly not! I had one measly swig of Gaviscon left. God these last weeks are hard!

melissa112 · 05/03/2019 18:36

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever no idea what that could be but sounds painful!

@ballanj ugh heartburn still not disappearing here too. Had to get up both last night and the night before and swig gaviscon, it was so so painful and felt worse than I've had it before. So not convinced baby has moved any lower since last time they checked!

Genuinely thought it was starting to happen last night. Baby was incredibly active from about 9pm till half past midnight, to the point where I thought I might call up and ask if this was ok as I was starting to worry he was in some kind of distress. I was having a constant dull pain in my pelvis followed by lots of cramping feelings in my pelvis/lower back/bum. They weren't lasting long each time but on and off for hours. Hard to tell what was caused by baby moving so much and what was genuine. Eventually baby slowed down and I dropped off and had no pain or anything today so no idea what it was! Babys movements seem normal today. Very strange.

Gronk27 · 05/03/2019 19:07

@squitlesmumagain I’d go every week but DH isn’t bothered. Just about managed to get to the marvel films. Gutted about the Avengers and I know my cinema days are numbered haha

HidCat · 05/03/2019 19:11

@Hermagsjesty congratulations!

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever oh no - did you make it?

SquirtlesMumAgain · 05/03/2019 19:36

@Gronk27 look up baby screenings - some cinemas do grown up films during the day to bring your baby too! I took DS to watch minions..... For my benefit, he was way too small!!!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 05/03/2019 19:37

Could it have been your hip clicking in and out @assumeitwassomethingclever?

cardboard33 · 05/03/2019 20:19

Hi everyone... Just wanted to say that our baby made a surprise early appearance a few days ago at exactly 37 weeks. Labour was very quick (9 hours total with 3 at the hospital, arrived when was 6cm dialated) and just had my tens machine at home then gas and air so not bad for a pregnancy where I've been fighting against an "obvious default c section" from before conception!! Hope you're all doing as well as you can be at this stage... Haven't read the last few pages!

CaseofEllen · 05/03/2019 20:30

@cardboard33 congratulations xx

wordsmithereens · 05/03/2019 20:35

Hi all, haven't caught up with thread but just wanted to drop in to let you know our beautiful girl arrived last Wednesday morning. Super fast labour (2:40 total from my waters breaking at home, 2 total in hospital), we are home and healthy, just coping with some pain from tear and lack of sleep, but she's kept her birth weight so bfing going well also.

Just glad we made it to hospital on time, I was 7cm dilated when we got there! Had her in the pool with gas and air.

I'm utterly in love in a way that's quite irrepressible with words. Hope everyone on here is doing well, regardless of what stage they're at. :)

SquirtlesMumAgain · 05/03/2019 21:08

Congratulations @cardboard33 and @wordsmithereens

Wonder news and welcome to the world little ones!

I realised earlier that last pregnancy I was in labour at this point! DS arrived at half past midnight as I ticked into 38 weeks, which is tomorrow! Getting a lot of downwards pressure but don't think she is going to beat her brother here in terms of weeks!

Wineandchoccy · 05/03/2019 21:32

Congratulations @cardboard33 and @wordsmithereens

melissa112 · 05/03/2019 21:54

Congratulations! @wordsmithereens and @cardboard33

Gosh they’re coming thick and fast now (fast being the operative work recently!)

@squirtlesmumagain good point, my local cinema does do them!

ballanj · 05/03/2019 22:52

@cardboard33 @wordsmithereens congratulations to you both! It seems fast labours are the order of the day! Enjoy these early days πŸ’•πŸ’•

ballanj · 05/03/2019 23:00

@melissa112 that's how I felt with the heartburn, the most severe I've had to date. But I have also heard it miraculously disappears the minute baby arrives so here's hoping!

I nearly lost my s**t with the other half tonight, who, in his usual playful manner slapped my backside as I got into bed and as I reached behind to slap him back he caught my pinky finger and broke my perfectly manicured nail, of which I only had a full set done last Friday. This makes me sound incredibly vain and self obsessed but I love my nails and I've had them done knowing I could drop at any moment and wanted to cry. He must have felt sorry for me as he gave me a lot of cuddles afterwards. Either sorry for me or scared πŸ˜‚

I've also taken to wearing a pantyliner and underwear to bed now (sorry if tmi but I'm usually commando) as my discharge has increased and I'm fed up being paranoid that my waters are going to go when I'm sleeping and waking up in the night to check I haven't made a mess.

Is anyone else obsessing over simply anything the way I am?!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 05/03/2019 23:13

Congratulations @cardboard33 and @wordsmithereens!

@SquirtlesMumAgain I did wonder if it was my hip clicking but I was laying still when it happened. Spent most of the evening on the birthing ball so hoping that has snapped it back into place or moved baby away from the painful area.

CaseofEllen · 05/03/2019 23:13

Does anyone know if taking one co-codamol is okay? I have such achy/restless legs and have run out of paracetamol 😭

Sictransitgloria · 05/03/2019 23:16

Oh my goodness congratulations @wordsmithereens and @cardboard33 !!!

SharonO225 · 05/03/2019 23:44

Hi everyone, just to let you all know that my little girl arrived today, I had a sweep at 1.30pm then went for a long walk and tapas and went home to sit on my ball. Contractions started at 5.10pm and she was born at 19.26pm in the birthing pool at hospital (we made it on time πŸ˜‚)

Congratulations to the others who also had their LO's. I haven't had chance to read through the properly thread yet.

Xx
