@hidcat yes I’ve been told to go back after birth for X-rays and at least two fillings! I’d already lost half a tooth. My teeth are normally very good!

@assumeitwassomethingclever and I still can’t stop eating so much sugar!! I think pulling out my filling with squashies gave me a bit of a kick up the bum. Said to DH the cravings are so strong! Ah yeah, being very pregnant sort of trumps birthdays

I’m cuddling eating pate on toast dd is 2 weeks old today which has gone so quick.

@Wineandchoccy so jealous of the pate! Definitely one of the first things on my food list after baby is here! How is DD doing?

@Gronk27 I've already had some Riesen chocolate chew things (had them as a kid and recently found them in Home Bargains for 29p!) and a pot of custard today. I know full well I'll be gorging on pancakes with lemon and sugar this evening. Cant stop! Also remembered that we bought some Millions for the hospital bag a few weeks ago and then had a flashback to me and DP eating them all last week

Also just had a weird mini cry?! Was lying down trying to nap and just wasn't happening despite being exhausted. Then had mini cry. Figured I better pull myself together and do something useful so I'm trying to avoid the ice cream I know is in the freezer and clear out some space in the living room.

I can't stop eating atm but I've decided with two weeks to go, maybe less, I'm going to be kind to myself and eat the cake/chocolate/ice cream!

I told DH I was going to eat steak, pate and Brie very soon. I reckon in reality it’ll be toast and cold tea (although the toast could have pate on!)

Haha I'm glad lots of us are in the same boat. Let's face it, I'm probably going to eat the ice cream! Oo Brie, forgot about that, definitely going on the list.

DP and I are having a date night on Friday, just meal out and the cinema. I'll be 39+1 then so probably the last time just the two of us for a long time!

I ordered a Group B Strep test and have recieved it today. In two minds about doing it as one of the swans has to be rectal which makes me feel a bit squeamish I even emailed to double.check and she said I definitely need to do both. Not sure if I have the courage!

@melissa112 date night sounds lovely! Don't know why one has to be rectal, mine was diagnosed (albeit in hospital) through a vaginal swab only. Regardless I'd still do it if I was you, better to be safe than sorry for sure!! Maybe get the ice cream out, do the swab and then eat the whole tub 🍦 xx

@CaseofEllen that sounds like a good plan. Nice little reward! They said turnaround time is really quick, well 3 days so hoping if I brave it and send it today I'll know by the weekend or fingers crossed before baby comes!

@melissa112 go on! You can get it done in 30 seconds then you have ice cream to demolish! I know it's not very nice but you can do it xx

@melissa112 dd is doing well not quite back to birth weight so getting her weighed again tomorrow so hopefully they will discharge us.

Laughing at the stories of eating all the things 😂 I seem to feel like this in the evenings. Have supplies for my hospital bag (jelly babies, biscuits, oat bars - the essentials lol) my midwife said today you can’t go overboard with the snacks.

In other news, there were nitrates in my urine today but I don’t feel like I have a UTI. Midwife didn’t seem worried, said she’d call next week but if I don’t hear from her we will just discuss it at my next appt.

All done. Not sure I did the best job but better than nothing 🤣 just eaten some leftover chilli from last night. Too lazy to make rice so just eaten it with a pitta bread as a scoop. New low haha. Ice cream most likely will be gone by the end of the day!

@Gronk27 I am so behind in the marvel films now, but really want to see it! Hope you enjoy it.
We loved going to the cinema but our lives haven't really allowed that since DS. Means our 'really want to watch' list is quite long!

Me and DH just came home from Rogers with boxes of snack foods. Protein bars, granola bars, nuts etc. I think we're all set for hospital + weeks after (might have overdone it). Was supposed to be a short walk, but due to roadworks ended up walking for an hour, in the rain. Not fun.

Can't wait to be able to eat pate and blue cheese again. Admittedly, I have sinned and had like a spoonful of pate on a toasted baguette twice while pregnant. I am weak.

I've had a rubbish day today, lightning crotch has kicked in and my bump's been really sore. It doesn't feel like contractions, nothing consistent, but at 40+2 I'm feeling a bit glum and ready to get this show on the road (famous last words!)

It doesn't help that DD is full of beans and demanding of ALL THE ATTENTION all the time. Can't wait for nursery on Thursday 🤣
