Sounds like things could be moving for you @assumeitwassomethingclever
Doesn't sound entirely out of the ordinary, I wouldn't both phoning unless you are concerned.
Was the pop inside or audible and did you get any leaking?

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 22/02/2019 17:23

@SquirtlesMumAgain it wasn't audible but felt similar to when you crack a knuckle. No leaking either. I'm hoping I've got a couple of weeks left as I'm only 35+4 and just left work for mat leave today! Nowhere near got the house ready either πŸ˜‚

SquirtlesMumAgain · 22/02/2019 18:41

Waters going can start with a pop sound, but you would notice so hopefully just something moving in your body. Remember relaxin will be allowing your body to start to move bits and pieces around ready!

PassTheAfterEights · 22/02/2019 19:21

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever ditto here at 35+1 although the stabby cervix is more manageable the longer it's gone on - in the beginning it took my breath away a bit. Congratulations on finishing work for mat leave! Apologies if I've missed an update but any developments from the police on the car chap?

A week at least behind most who are starting to feel over the whole pregnancy thing so adding only a very tiny violin to that orchestra - just fed up of being uncomfortable now! I want to put my damn socks on myself! Have also had the crampy tum on and off, pretty awful in moments but as much as I'd love things to be moving forward pretty sure it's a space thing rather than a emergent babe thing. Eating total rubbish atm, don't know what I want / no appetite. Probably behind the tummy cramps..!!

Have MW for 36 week check next week, is it standard to discuss birth plan in this one? Very much wavering about what I want anyway but will need to prepare my thoughts if so.

Hope everyone has a good Friday night, and weekend x

HidCat · 22/02/2019 20:08

@SquirtlesMumAgain sounds great that you have a plan in place! Let the countdown begin.

@Wineandchoccy looks like little one is doing well, the supply will settle before long.

Lots of pressure down below for me and several times I've been unable to move in my seat without squealing in pain which I assume is baby low down. Currently struggling to get comfy on the sofa. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Sictransitgloria · 22/02/2019 20:12

@passtheaftereights I’m 35 weeks tomo. Got the stabby pains and groin pain. I don’t think it’s SPD as it’s more comfortable to have my legs open?! Either way it’s annoying. Sleeping is bloody uncomfortable now. Also had tummy cramps all this week and diarrhoea (sory for tmi!) in the night and mornings and then having to go to work πŸ˜‚ oh the joy. So joining you with my minuscule violin here 🎻

SquirtlesMumAgain · 22/02/2019 22:48

I do often wonder how those who don't know they are pregnant get away with no symptoms!!!
Currently having to alternate between getting stuck on the sofa but being able to get my back comfy, or sit on the ball and my back kill but I can move!

ballanj · 22/02/2019 23:33

@SquirtlesMumAgain @Sictransitgloria @PassTheAfterEights joining you in the violin playing. Even my rocking chair wasn't alleviating my aching back tonight. We had new sofas delivered last week and I've hardly sat on them as I can't get comfortable ANYWHERE. Said to my OH that I miss being able to give him a proper cuddle. 38 weeks on Thursday. Right now I wouldn't mind Hulk putting in an appearance at week 39. I reckon I'll be unbearable to be around if I go more than a week overdue.

MistakenHoliday · 23/02/2019 07:11

@ballanj @SquirtlesMumAgain @PassTheAfterEights can I add another violin to the orchestra? I'm no just under 39 weeks, started mat leave on Friday and have been wrangling 4year old DD all week since. I AM KNACKERED. And grumpy. OH is mad busy with work so hasn't had a day off in a week and my mum has been in hospital all week, to top it all off!

She was meant to be our child - and dog - care when we go into the labour ward so I've also spent the last few days trying to arrange emergency babysitting with local friends and family. This is much harder because obviously we don't know when things will happen and who will be available!

I'm just hoping BabyHoliday comes sooner rather than late, if only so I can get off the Sofa without making grunting sounds again!

@Wineandchoccy I was wondering how much BF would hurt the second time around. I remember combing my lumpy boobs in the shower last time - something to look forward to for the second time Smile

SquirtlesMumAgain · 23/02/2019 07:45

Sorry you're having the childcare fun too @mistakenholiday, it's stressful isn't it!
We are lucky to have some really lovely neighbours who have extended their "any time during the day" offer to include the middle of the night too if needed. At least if DD comes early we have options for DS.

Something you just don't think about!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 23/02/2019 10:47

@Sictransitgloria @PassTheAfterEights I'm glad it's not just me then! DH is convinced baby is on its way and is running round like a crazy person trying to get things ready πŸ˜‚

@PassTheAfterEights on the harassment front, the police spoke to him and told him to leave me alone and threatened to arrest him if he did it again. So far, touch wood, I haven't had any phone calls! Fingers crossed, the riot act frightened him off! Thank you for asking.

MistakenHoliday · 23/02/2019 12:40

@SquirtlesMumAgain it's one of those things you just don't think about isn't it? And we'd completely ignored the fact that the dog would need somewhere to go to! Luckily our walkers have said they'll come and collect him if needed and we've loads of offers to help with DD - I'm just hoping we don't have to phone anyone at 3am for her!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 23/02/2019 13:09

Yep the middle of the night phone call is one of my biggest fears @mistakenholiday

Hopefully she will get the message and just hang on until DM comes to stay!

Wineandchoccy · 23/02/2019 14:04

That was the only good thing about being induced that it was easy to sort out childcare for dd.

Wineandchoccy · 23/02/2019 14:06

We have been for a long walk now DH has taken dd1 out so me and Lois can have a nap πŸ’€

A photo for you all Smile

MistakenHoliday · 23/02/2019 15:07

Oh she is delicious @Wineandchoccy !

Angelmiracle · 23/02/2019 15:08

Such a little beauty @Wineandchoccy you must be so proud!!

Gronk27 · 23/02/2019 15:12

@wineandchoccy squeeeeee

@assumeitwassomethingclever I really hope that's worked and he backs off the creep.

I am also knackered. Thoroughly recommend bouncing on a pregnancy/work out ball for being comfy, hip and back pain, etc. Had cramp in the middle of the night and my calf is still sore. Also having constipation issues which I won't go into detail about . . .

SquirtlesMumAgain · 23/02/2019 15:13

So gorgeous! Whilst I love looking at photos of DS I think once DD arrives it is going to be a shock again how small they are!
Although sounds like she is going to be nowhere near as small as he was.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 23/02/2019 15:23

@Gronk27 how long have you been using your exercise ball if you don't mind me asking? I'm tempted to get one as I often get hip pain but I don't know if it's worth it for just 4 weeks.

Wineandchoccy · 23/02/2019 15:25

Thank you I know I’m biased but she is lovely, she is a clone of dd1 apart from her hair isn’t as dark.

@Gronk27 I don’t miss the calf cramps at all so weird how symptoms just go once you are no longer pregnant.

Jenfur · 23/02/2019 16:18

@Wineandchoccy oh she's like a little doll 😍 Agree with @SquirtlesMumAgain you know they're little but you forget how dinky they really are.

CaseofEllen · 23/02/2019 17:01

@Wineandchoccy such a cutie! So glad you're all home and settling well. Also glad to hear that the symptoms generally disappear after pregnancy!

My friends are off on a night out tonight and I can't help be a little jealous, obviously super happy and lucky to be pregnant but also really want a glass of wine/cocktail now πŸ˜‚

Hope everyone is well tonight xx

Gronk27 · 23/02/2019 17:02

@assumeitwassomethingclever I’ve only had it for a week and i’m 37 now. Wanted it for labour as well. Likely to use it in home work outs after (well I might!) It was Β£12.99 on Amazon 75cm exercise/pregnancy ball.

Here’s a random question. People say to take some extras in the car if you end up staying longer but what things would these extras be? So far I’ve out in pants, pads, nappies and a spare wash cloth (I’m obsessed).

CaseofEllen · 23/02/2019 17:18

@Gronk27 I feel like I've got all my extras in my hospital bags. Taken more than recommend amount of pants, nappies, pads etc and DP/DM/DF can always bring anything else if we end up needing it. Do you live far from hospital? I'd only pack extras if it's a pain for someone to grab them on emergency.
