@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I've just been googling the same thing! Didn't realise pressure in my bum was a thing but definitely feeling it. And painful pelvis. Almost vomited this morning too when at the garden centre with my mum. Proper heaving and everything ugh. Walking around was really painful and my legs felt like they were made of lead. Joys of this last stage!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 20/02/2019 17:51

The pressure during labour is interesting - there is obviously good reason why so many bodies poo during labour (nothing to do with you!)
Oh and you'll find your body pushes itself! I was told off for pushing when I didnt have anything to do with it.

Lots of pressure down there at the mo, she had to go really low in my pelvis to get the head measurement today. The sonographer said that she was spreadeagle rather than laying one side or the other - she couldn't work out what DD was doing at first!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 20/02/2019 17:53

@melissa112 I didn't realise either! πŸ˜‚ I can also sympathise with the lead legs. Someone let me across the road at a zebra crossing today and I tried to hurry across but my legs just wouldn't move any quicker!

CaseofEllen · 20/02/2019 18:11

Ladies I am so fed up with being pregnant today Angry I just feel like I'm living through a flashback of the last 8 months, every possible symptom just popping in for an hour at a time! I sobbed, fully sobbed like a baby at a comment I thought (he didn't) DP made. When will this baby be outttttt???

Sorry for being a massive selfish cowbag but need a little vent xx

SquirtlesMumAgain · 20/02/2019 20:15

The end is in sight @caseofEllen. I know what you mean about every symptom coming back (thank you all day sickness!) along with all the baby being low and the pains associated with that!
There will be a lot of ups and downs over the next 6 months - don't beat yourself up about it if you can, though it's bloomin hard not to!

Wineandchoccy · 20/02/2019 20:20

@cardboard33 sorry only just seen your message yes dd came to the hospital yesterday to meet her she was very quiet at 1st but then didn’t want to let her go.

We got home at 4pm today and it’s been hectic since life as a family of 4 is certainly tougher but I managed to eat with 2 hands which is a result Grin

Gronk27 · 20/02/2019 20:44

@caseofellen I’ve sobbed most days but I am a crier! And yes things have suddenly popped up like sore boobs off of the first trimester. Sorry you’re feeling crappy. Have some me time. Bath? Yoga? Chocolate? A book? Whatever floats your boat? Flowers

Angelmiracle · 20/02/2019 21:18

@Wineandchoccy glad to hear you both got home and are well! 😊

@Gronk27 @CaseofEllen oh thank goodness I thought I was going mad! I feel like I've gone back to the first trimester with my food aversions and sore nipples. On top of the tiredness, rubbish bladder, backache and heaviness all over it's definitely testing now!

ballanj · 20/02/2019 21:39

@CaseofEllen and if you're a 'massive selfish cowbag' then god knows what that must make me! I think we're all allowed to feel like that at this stage. I go from feeling so irritable over things that wouldn't usually matter to wanting to cry when I hear a song play. Talk about can't keep up!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 20/02/2019 22:18

Glad you're home @wineandchoccy, hope everything settles down quickly

Harley8888 · 21/02/2019 08:15

@caseofellen you're not alone. I'm 36+4 and am soooo ready to not be pregnant anymore. Feeling every symptom under the sun and am just ready to have my body back and my energy.
Did quite a bit of walking yesterday which resulted in a very stiff lower back, had the worst heartburn last night - no remedy worked. Have also started throwing up again!!

Congrats @wineandchoccy so lovely to see the gorgeous babies on the thread now. Can't wait for my turn!

Is anyone else feeling a difference in movement? I know the baby is moving normally because I can see my belly move and the usual alien waves seem to be following the normal pattern but for some reason I don't feel it as strong. I haven't called the hospital as technically baby is moving normally. Should I be calling?

CaseofEllen · 21/02/2019 08:40

Thanks @SquirtlesMumAgain @Gronk27 @ballanj @Harley8888 Thanks sorry to see you are all feeling the same, although good to know I'm not alone in this last stage! You are right that it will be over soon, just doesn't feel that way Hmm hate to moan as I realise how lucky I am to be having a healthy baby! Xx

CaseofEllen · 21/02/2019 08:42

@Harley8888 yes I have, massively! I went to the hospital twice last week due to change in movements. They said it looks good on the trace but because they're getting more difficult to feel it's harder for us to judge from home. The advice they gave me is that if I have any concerns or am not feeling the same movements/pattern to call back up so if you think it would reassure you then no harm in calling IMO xx

kee80 · 21/02/2019 08:46

@Harley8888 yes I'm feeling the same with movements. I'm still feeling her throughout the day but just don't feel as strong.
I spoke to my midwife yesterday about this and she said as long as I'm still feeling her and still have a regular pattern then all is ok. Obviously any change then to ring triage. I'm 36+2

SquirtlesMumAgain · 21/02/2019 08:55

The advice I was given is moving a normal amount is fine, they are just that much bigger now. That said if there is any concern to call and talk to someone - they can make the call if it needs checking.

Lots of back ache and pressure today. Guess she is just moving into position more and more, but could be ages to go.

Has anyone had to persuade their consultant to let them arrange something pre-full term when it comes to a section/induction?
I am struggling with the breathing issues I had before again, even when propped up, and I don't know if I can carry on being terrified every time I go any more than bolt upright that I'm going to stop breathing again. Consultant is tomorrow, but it is a new one so going to have to build from scratch :(

Wineandchoccy · 21/02/2019 09:20

@Harley8888 my movements changed as she engaged more still prods and kicks but more muffled but if you are worried I would get checked out.

Harley8888 · 21/02/2019 09:50

Thanks everyone. @wineandchoccy 'muffled' Is the perfect way to describe it... I called the hospital and they said as long as I can still feel him it's ok and it's just that he has less space to move about now... they didn't ask me to come in which I thought a bit odd.

Is it me or does anyone feel like the third trimester is literally a year long?! It's taking ages!!!

Wineandchoccy · 21/02/2019 10:03

@Harley8888 yes you think getting to 12 weeks seems like forever but the last few weeks seem like a lifetime and I was induced at 39 weeks so I feel for anybody who goes overdue

melissa112 · 21/02/2019 10:26

@cardboard33 not sure why I'm nervous to meet other mums really. Maybe subconsciously I think I won't be good enough or people will think that I'm doing something wrong. I know its silly so I will try and get to some groups. Yeh I am quite lost at the minute since finishing work without the routine so I think it would help to have things planned in.

@CaseofEllen yep getting the same feeling here. Crying a lot and for some reason my nausea is returning which has made me feel really down. Thought it was just yesterday but been feeling it this morning too. I'm 37 weeks today and just want pregnancy to be done now and for him to be here safely.

I'm getting a bit concerned as I keep getting a bad stomach cramp when I eat. It does seem to be more in the morning when I have breakfast rather than later in the day. But this morning it was so so painful and lasted about a minute. It seemed to ease once I'd stopped eating. I've looked online and cant really see anything that says its pregnancy related so now my mind is in overdrive on what else it could be Sad

SquirtlesMumAgain · 21/02/2019 10:42

@melissa112 are you sure it isn't just that your stomach is cramped for space (which all your organs will still be at the moment)?
I would always say steer clear of Dr Google - it will only make you worry more. If you're really concerned call your midwife or doctor.

melissa112 · 21/02/2019 10:58

@SquirtlesMumAgain it did cross my mind that it could just be everything running out of room. I'm definitely not going to Google again and if I'm still concerned next week I'll speak to a GP. I tend to let my mind run away with itself so don't want to start panicking

SquirtlesMumAgain · 21/02/2019 11:08

I definitely find the horrible lump in my throat sick feeling from time to time and it's definitely just a squashed organ issue (along with the stupid morning sickness I've had all through) so sounds like it may well be similar to that.

Have you had a look for things to do to get you out and about?

melissa112 · 21/02/2019 11:18

@SquirtlesMumAgain I'm meeting a friend tomorrow and we have DSS this weekend so I'll be occupied with stuff and still have some nesting bits I want to do in the house. Just started sobbing for no reason but feel really upset. Not even sure why. Are you still suffering with morning sickness? Sad

SquirtlesMumAgain · 21/02/2019 11:21

It's back again sadly, but keeping it pretty much under control.
I need to look at things to do in our new area with DD when she gets here. It is very easy to get isolated very quickly
