Congratulations @Wineandchoccy and what a gorgeous name!

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever it sounds like you're having a complete nightmare at he moment - what a time for it to happenSad

I'm struggling to keep up with the board at the moment - it's so fast! I'm 38 + 3 today and hoping that this baby doesn't go 10 days over like DD. I'm about ready to start reclaiming my waistline (fingers crossed!)

CaseofEllen · 19/02/2019 21:28

Congratulations @Wineandchoccy Thanks xx

Angelmiracle · 19/02/2019 21:28

Hi @MistakenHoliday you're getting close now! I hope I'm not over either - if I'm more than 5 days over my sister will be back on her flight and miss it she'll be heartbroken!

Wonderful news @wineandchoccy. Welcome to the world Lois!

Got my final growth scan (all being well) tomorrow - wonder what size she will be estimated as. Much more scared about her being normal sized than actually giving birth again! Her brother might have been tiny but I know how to deal with that!

Gronk27 · 19/02/2019 22:43

@wineandchoccy congrats! What a cool name!

Angelmiracle · 19/02/2019 22:53

@SquirtlesMumAgain good luck tomorrow. DS was 9lb9oz and could hold his head up all on his own from birth he was so strong lol and easy worked with!

@Angelmiracle you'll have to get on with trying all the old wives tales - pineapple, curries and bouncing on exercise balls abound!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 20/02/2019 07:40

Thanks everyone. The policeman I spoke to was really lovely about it and said he'd have no qualms with going to his work place and embarrassing him after everything he's done to such a pregnant woman. Hopefully this stops him and doesn't rile him up more.

Congratulations @Wineandchoccy!! What a beautiful name x

Jenfur · 20/02/2019 08:29

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever that's so creepy. Glad the police are taking it seriously and are dealing with him. Fingers crossed this is the end of it and you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

ballanj · 20/02/2019 08:39

Huge congratulations @Wineandchoccy πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ’•πŸ’•

ballanj · 20/02/2019 08:40

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever how awful for you! This guy clearly thinks he can get away with this kind of behaviour, what a moron. I hope the police pull their finger out and reprimand him severely for what he's putting you through in your condition. Keep us updated X

cardboard33 · 20/02/2019 08:46

@assumeitwassomethingclever the fact you're pregnant has nothing to do with it as he shouldn't be harassing someone like this regardless of whether they're a tough manly man or a teenager or anything in between. Obviously it's more concerning for you in the sense that you're heavily pregnant but it shouldn't affect the seriousness of how the police treat your reports.

@wineandchoccy congratulations!! Has your elder one visited the new family member yet?

@melissa112 why are you nervous about meeting other mums? It'll be just like on here but in person. I think you've said you live quite rurally so having a network of "people like you" will be such a good idea for when your partner is back at work as it sounds like you're the kind of person who lives by structure so if you had a network of friends/baby groups you'd have that structure in a way that work gives/gave you (not sure if you've started mat leave yet) ... Maybe?

Went to sleep last night unable to turn my neck to one side and woke up and it's even worse which is exactly what I need. Not. Hoping that it will sort it's self out over the course of the day and have been doing yoga stretches etc. We've also got our final NCT tonight... Odd question but what generally happens once you're done, does everyone just not see eachother until the reunion thing after the babies are born or is it a bit more organic? I like organising things so would be up for planning some drinks etc in the next few weeks but don't know if that will come across as too keen...

CaseofEllen · 20/02/2019 09:03

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever what an absolute creep! Hopefully the police can sort it today but if it continues keep reporting him. You definitely don't need this!!

@SquirtlesMumAgain good luck for your scan today Thanks

Can anyone advise me on pre/early labour? Last night in the bath I had what I think were contractions, I was on my feet a lot yesterday so could've just been from that but it was a pain I haven't felt before. Not quite period pain, not quite sickness bug pain. Like a wave all gathering in the middle of my tummy, lasted about 20 minutes for about 1 minute each. Had a couple of episodes of soft stools since (sorry TMI Blush) and a baby that feels like he's no longer in my tummy he's so low down. Could this be the start of anything? Hmm xx

Angelmiracle · 20/02/2019 09:09

Gosh @CaseofEllen it sounds like you could be in very early labour! Any more pains this morning? Between that and the leaking you've been having. I had the 'clear out' before I went to hospital with DS!

OP posts:
CaseofEllen · 20/02/2019 09:22

@Angelmiracle no nothing except the usual melon between legs pressure since! My DP was ready to ring hospital but it all calmed down. I'm only 36 weeks so still a little early, guess I just think every twinge could be it! The 'clear out' πŸ˜‚ love it xx

Marmite2018 · 20/02/2019 09:33

@CaseofEllen I can't offer any real advice as I'm a FTM but I had something similar last night. Couldn't get off the toilet! Feeling a bit crampy today but I've not had any other symptoms at all!
I had taken some codeine because I'd managed to mess up my rib and ended up in a and e, I only took a couple and took my last at midday yesterday. Also think codeine is supposed to do the opposite???
Maybe someone can shed some light? Or we just wait and see!!! I'm 37 weeks!

Gronk27 · 20/02/2019 09:35

@marmite2018 sounds nasty! Codeine can upset your tummy for sure.

Elizabeth134 · 20/02/2019 10:16

Congratulations @wineandchoccy

Had something very similar last night too. Just about to turn 36 weeks. Guessed it might be to do with the full moon and extra pressure on that fluid in my belly as I feel much better today.

Marmite2018 · 20/02/2019 10:18

@Elizabeth134 yes to the full moon weirdness!

@Wineandchoccy congratulations!!

Angelmiracle · 20/02/2019 10:28

@Marmite2018 @Elizabeth134 yes to the full moon weirdness!

☝️ my sister and I swear it messes with our sleep!! πŸŒ•

Congratulations @wineandchoccy - hope you have a lovely first few days getting to know each other.

No progress here - contractions tailed off completely in the end, so, must’ve been a false start! Seeing midwife this morning to check all is okay but apparently stop/start labours are quite common the 3rd time around. Am consoling myself that at least that’s 2cm less I’ll need to dilate when it comes to the real thing...

SquirtlesMumAgain · 20/02/2019 10:59

Might be braxton hicks if it is only for a short period if time.

Scan was OK, she has dropped off her predicted line, but it could be that the middle measurement actually was a bit big so she may be OK. The interesting thing is her measurements were correlating with her weeks until this time, so hopefully not a sign of her struggling. Does give us some ammo for 38 week induction... Back in 2 weeks for another scan to see what is going on if she hasnt arrived by then. Next up is the consultant to see if we can get a good plan

Jenfur · 20/02/2019 11:00

@Hermagsjesty Sorry it wasn't the real deal, hard when you get your hopes up and get ready. Surely things must be happening soon if you've already started? And, as you say, at least you've got some of it out of the way!

I had a horrible lower back ache yesterday afternoon, really uncomfortable and more like an ache than a pain (although painful... that makes no sense!). Body has definitely been having a bit of a "clear out" lately and with the back ache, I felt like I needed to go to the toilet but couldn't. Also felt quite nauseous with it - not quite sure what any of that was. I started to get my hopes up that things were under way. Although I'm only 35+5 today, I'm so ready for this pregnancy to be done!

wordsmithereens · 20/02/2019 11:26

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever What a horrible situation. I hope the police warning him off today does the trick; the last thing you need is this kind of stress at the moment.

Hope everyone who may not get the birth plan they'd hoped for can adjust to the changes. I'm a bit wary that mine will go completely off-piste at short notice - everything has been so straightforward otherwise it feels a bit like the calm before the storm!

Went for a bit of a dance/people-watch last night, and baby felt super engaged on the way back, to the point of almost crampy pain in my pelvis. Was actually wondering if something was starting but then all quietened down, so probably just intense Braxton Higgs. Got a bit excited that I'd get to meet her soon! :( It's good to know being active seems to put her in position, though.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 20/02/2019 17:12

Thanks everyone for your support.
I woke up today feeling pressure in the bottom of my back/ bum and have a heavy feeling in my pelvis/pubic bone (sorry tmi)
I can sympathise with everyone it's Very uncomfortable! I feel like I've developed the dreaded waddle over night.
