Lots of Braxton Hicks again this evening! Going to go for a bath to see if they ease off as they're getting a bit irritating when they keep coming every few minutes. At least now baby is 3/5 engaged she's moved down from being squashed against my ribs so I can breath while lying down... Got a growth scan on Monday as bump measuring a bit ahead again, although midwife said it could just be because baby is lying completely vertically head-down with bum sticking out the front!

I accidentally scratched my nipple yesterday and that hurt!

And today I scratched my bump somehow when going to the loo and managed to draw blood! The skin is so stretched and delicate 🙈

@AliceRR. I scratched my tummy last night when it was itchy. Went to the bathroom a few hours later and thought that a whole host of stretch marks had appeared. Turned out it was just where I had scratched and I had left temporary marks as the skin is so delicate!

We have a husky, she was only 6 months old when we had our daughter and she was fine, let her sniff the baby and she wasn't really interested at all after that!

I am not sure how she will be when we come back this time, she's so lazy if I've been at work is the mornings she doesn't even get out of bed to greet me at the door but I am sure she will come and have a sniff, we already have 3 children so she will probably be like oh gawd not another one haha! She doesn't have a choice she is kid friendly and we still made sure she had lots of attention and I would take her out for nicer walks during the day with the baby in the carrier too once I felt up-to it so I'm sure that sweetened the deal!

My nipples are super sensitive. The dog accidentally scratched one (don't ask) and it was so painful I screamed and frightened her and then felt bad Blush

Just woke up to pee then laid back down and had what I can only describe as cramp like period pain...I’m 36 +2 so is it too early? I had a scan on Tuesday and she’s looking like she’s 6lb 4oz and 4/5th engaged so a good weight I suppose. I just don’t know whether I’m just wishful thinking or this is normal 3rd tri stuff!

hayley013 · 24/01/2019 02:03

@Leonora94 I'm getting intermittent period pains really low down and am engaged the same as you, 4/5. Midwife said on Tuesday that it's all stretching and movement in prep, but that if it becomes regular in any way to call into triage x

Eyedontknow · 24/01/2019 02:16

@Leonora94 I was told the same as @hayley013 . I've been getting similar cramps for the last few weeks, I'm 39 w now and no baby yet!

Yakadee · 24/01/2019 07:13

Hopefully you ladies having cramps etc might start seeing something happen soon 🤞

@Celebelly - that sounds awful! My son accidentally elbowed me in the boob the other day and it killed and I cried out as you do, aww he cried his eyes out and told me 'I sad now mummy' - bless him.

Pre - assessment for me today. Anyone who's had one before, any questions I should be asking? (I already have a few) xx

@Eyedontknow @hayley013 Sounds about right I suppose, I think when it’s the middle of the night and your the only one up you can convince yourself of just about anything!

Last day of work today. Don’t know how I feel. There’s loads of change in the team so feels a bit less sad as two of my favourite people are moving to different jobs internally so won’t feel I’m missing out on as much. We are doing drinks tonight but I’m so tired and feel sad about it so not really in the mood!
I was planning another farewell in tandem with another colleague who is leaving tomorrow after a meeting at the end of the day but now they’ve moved the venue and it means way more effort for me. I would never have suggested it if I knew the venue would be different but I don’t want to leave her in the lurch now :( suddenly I have way too many social things on just at the moment I feel tired and grouchy and can’t be bothered. Serves me right for making plans in advance!

@Leonora94 my midwife helpfully explained that the cervix does a lot of work in the last 3-4 weeks that we don't notice, helping the muscles move into place ready for softening etc, made a lot of sense.

I have my last growth scan this morning, growth has slowed down a little at the last one so hoping she's caught back up on today's

@1stTimeTina - exciting! Just relax, catch up on TV, read a book etc. This is my first week off and I can't say I've relaxed that much but very much enjoying not being at work! X

Totally freaked myself out this morning - for nothing!

So my boob really hurt so I had a look, there was a white bit at the top of my nipple and it was really sore - I thought it looked cracked or something! Rushed to the toilet to have a look, it was a tiny piece of Popcorn! A piece must have found its way in last night 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

One week left at work for me... it’s going to drag!! 😂😂

I’m hoping all these aches and pains are my body getting well prepped. I had to stop twice on my 15 minute walk through town as the shooting pains wouldn’t allow me to take another step! Standing with my legs tightly crossed looking at my phone trying not to look like a freak 😂

My office is in the attic of our building too, so there were two flights of stairs to contend with once I got here.. I’m not moving till home time now!

Thanks for the birthday wishes 😊 Its my youngests 11th birthday today.. more cake 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Yes I remember these pains now... a long walk in the park yesterday and I’m flattened today. And regularly now in agony - hip and bum from 3am. Plus regular BHs / tightening sensations. Ah third trimester you beauty.

Also like a banshee. Came downstairs to harang DH about making an omelette in the kitchen last night once I was in bed as I could smell it upstairs, irritated about everything. Suspect there will be a lot of peppa today - telling myself one day of it won’t hurt too much!

Sounds like lots of you are starting to make some promising progress, fingers crossed for some more babies very soon! We are enjoying our first day at home. Waiting for the midwife currently (they come between 9 and 5 so not that helpful) so sending DH to the shops to pick up all the little bits I’ve suddenly realised we need! Iolo is snoozing away milk drunk in the sleepyhead.

@Yakadee I just laughed out loud, thanks for that!! Popcorn does get everywhere, it's been my snack of choice throughout pregnancy and I'm always finding bits somewhere.

I'm meant to be going shopping to pick up stuff to batch cook, so was going to make a list... so I'm sat on the laptop instead! I think I'll just pick up lots of store cupboard staples like tins of tomatoes, onions etc and wing it. Our Asda reduce their meat around 8:00-8:30 so it's almost worth going then and just seeing what I can get which can freeze.
