@mummymummymumumum @amberrose I’ve been watching the videos and she repeats hand movements too but maybe I am just irritable! 😃

I’m not sleeping great, I need to turn over ever hour or every couple of hours, but now I’m on mat leave I’m just sleeping late if I need to eg today I got up at about half 12!

Susannach · 01/02/2019 13:21

So many new babies over the past few days! Huge congratulations everyone Flowers

I’m excited to join you soon, but I’m hoping little girl stays put for at least a few more days. We’ve all been hit by a monster virus and it would be Sod’s law for me to go into labour now! 37+5 so hopefully time is on my side.

Best of luck to everyone getting twinges and shows! Hoping for some more good news soon.

bubblybrit · 01/02/2019 14:41

@AutumnLee12. The salon where I get my nails done won’t do a pregnancy massage after 37 weeks. Not sure if that is only their policy though rather than official guidelines x

AliceRR · 01/02/2019 14:45

I feel like I need a massage too! But have felt like that for months and haven’t got around to it

powkin · 01/02/2019 16:22

Congratulations @2019Mama!

22 days to go for me, feeling much better than I had done, I was terrified the groin/pelvic pain I had would be constant for the last 3 weeks but it appears I pulled something, that or Pip decided to ease off my cervix!

@AmberRose17 - I started the trial today - they told me my risk was 1 in 11 so not that high risk really! I took the first tablet and haven't had any adverse reaction so thats a good first step.

For those taking formula to the hospital just in case breastfeeding doesn't work straight away - can you tell me what you are getting? Is it the Aptamil 1 First Infant Milk that you buy with the teats? Or are there other brands? I get the sense it doesn't really matter which brand you buy but if anyone has experience of them let me know!

sickmumma · 01/02/2019 16:24

A pregnancy massage sounds lovely! Can't believe we should hopefully all have our babies by the end of the month!!

My maternity started last week and I literally have not moved off my sofa today whilst the children have been at school and I even napped during the day! Feel very sleepy and lethargic and my tummy hurts a bit! I have my work leaving drink/meal tonight and I am really not feeling up to it but can't really not go haha!!

I have been quite productive on my other days off though in getting the house in order although my washing seems to
Have already piled up again and I still need to pack my hospital bag!! Xx

Yakadee · 01/02/2019 16:29

@powkin - we decided not to bf so took in our own bottles (and sterilised them there) and little pre- made cartons which we warned. These were fine but moved into formula when we got home x

lanalawr · 01/02/2019 16:38

@powkin there are different brands you can get. There isn't much difference between them because it's heavily regulated. The most common brands are paramilitary, cow & gate, sma or hipp (organic) but aldi and Lidl do their own too. Not sure if they all do the premade ones with teats but I'm fairly sure the first three do.
I'm not taking formula to the hospital this time even though I did last time. I've bought a couple of small cartons of SMA to keep in the house because that's what we fed dd. Hoping they'll stay unused though as I'd like to bf this time.

maxiflump1 · 01/02/2019 16:50

Introducing baby Max who arrived at lunchtime weighing a whopping 10lb 6!! So glad I went for the caesarean this time! Feeling good and hopefully be able to go home tomorrow x

AliceRR · 01/02/2019 16:52

Congrats!! @maxiflump1

powkin · 01/02/2019 16:55

@Yakadee @lanalawr - thanks both - I think I'll go for the Hipp Organic ones - I'm hoping I can bf but if it doesn't work then I need something on standby if the hospitals won't provide it! It will be good to have something very simply so DH doesn't have to stress and we don't need to sort out any additional kit. I'm only planning to buy one box worth, if I don't need it then a few in my antenatal group are giving birth a fair few weeks after me so I can gift it to them! Got some little syringes off one of my group today, she could only get them in bulk so we need a weird syringe exchange in a cafe! Will see if I can get any colostrum going (and maybe encourage pip to make an appearance!)

powkin · 01/02/2019 16:56

@maxiflump1- awwww wow! Congratulations, absolutely gorgeous picture!

bubblybrit · 01/02/2019 17:00

AvoidingMarking · 01/02/2019 17:15

Congratulations mummies on the safe arrival of babies! 26 days till due date...

lanalawr · 01/02/2019 17:29

Congratulations @maxiflump1 !

Celebelly · 01/02/2019 17:38

Congrats @maxiflump1 He's a big boy!

Yakadee · 01/02/2019 17:49

@maxiflump1 - congratulations! I've been thinking about you! What a big beautiful boy! We went home the next day so fingers crossed you will too. X

hayley013 · 01/02/2019 18:08

@powkin we've decided to go with HiPP Organic, got the box of 6 bottles with tests but hoping to bf so just got the one box. They only last 1 hour once opened so if you were gonna ff exclusively you'd maybe need another box for back up

hayley013 · 01/02/2019 18:09

@maxiflump1 congratulations!! He's so cute!

I don't feel right today, got a bit of a stomach ache, feel sick. Got loads of tightenings and just don't know where to put myself, hoping it's the start of something but doubt it

Notquiteagandt · 01/02/2019 18:15

@maxiflump1 Hello Max birthday twin arent you cute 😍

My little girl after 2 full days of induction. Was safely delivered in an emergancy c-section this morning. Equally the most scariest day of my life tied with being the best. Had the most amaizing team through out labor.

Managed to deliver her from calling for a csection and being red lighted to delivery in under 5 mins!! Still in shock tbh but so so so thankful.

Finally met baby 3 hours later once I had properly recovered and woke up. First thing she did was grab my boob and latch on for a massive feed.

6lb8 so a v.v.v. good size. She is small ans chunky!

Any 2nd time mums who have had a csec anytip? Ive not been able to sit up as of yet. So anticipating a slow recocery. So tips welcome!!

AliceRR · 01/02/2019 18:35

@Notquiteagandt Congratulations! xx

bubblybrit · 01/02/2019 18:45

Congrats on your baby girl @Notquiteagandt! Wishing you a speedy recovery (I’m a FTM so no experience but I hope you feel better soon!) xx

lanalawr · 01/02/2019 18:56

@Notquiteagandt congratulations! That sounds very scary but pleased that she arrived safely.

Camsie30 · 01/02/2019 19:11
