August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

Scan went really well yesterday, thankfully. Phew! I was so nervous and sobbed before we even started and most of the way through! I was so relieved that I left without getting pics, I'm such an idiot! I went back 2 hours later and had to wait to get them! However, I was so stressed out with it all in the lead up that I had a migraine when I got home and was in bed most of the day. Never mind! Thanks for all your support ladies. New EDD is 11th August (I was 7th August before) x

Weird dreams here too - I woke up with heart thumping at 4.30am because I'd been hanging out with Hollywood actors and forgot to pick my kids up from school 😂

I've just had my check up and they gave me a scan (hurrah!). Baby hated it! They stayed there for 5 seconds and then did this flump and turned their back to the image so we didn't get to see anything! I laughed at the epic flounce.

Thanks for your messages ladies, doctors not concerned as no other symptoms apart from pains but have booked me a scan on Friday (12 week scan is 31st) so at least tomorrow will hopefully give me some reassurance.
Pains are calming down and paracetamol is helping, midwife has told me if the paracetamol doesn't shift the pain to go back to a&e so will see how I get on today. Took the day off today to rest so hopefully it helps out.
Will let you know how I get on tomorrow.

@abw94 I had some really bad pains over new year for a day or two and have come back once since and all seems to be fine, so fingers crossed for you too! They just advised rest and a hot water bottle with paracetamol and it eased off . Keep us updated!

Hurrah for all the positive scans!

So nice to see all these positive scans coming through! I have mine on Monday and bricking it to be honest. I had a scan at 9+4 and all was perfect so you'd think id feel a bit more relaxed but apparently not!

Anyone on the Ovia pregnancy app? I think i'm going to delete it so many rude negative people on there!

I have never dreamt so much (or perhaps never remembered ) as much as have since being pregnant I have had the oddest and most vivid dreams but I quite like having them on days my symptoms are less as I think I must still be pregnant if I am still having the crazy dreams 😊

Just had my scan! I was so nervous before I was shaking, and so relieved now that I could sleep all day! I had to wee twice as I had drank too much 😂 and the baby was bottom in the air, then it was upside down and wouldn’t get into the right position but eventually we got there! All ok! I was half convinced there would be a problem or nothing in there as I’ve had so little in the way of symptoms, but there he/she is! X

All ok with my bubba 💜 measuring 12+4 so new due date of 4th August

I was told I’m measuring a day more than I was, but that some babies are just bigger/smaller. Nurse said due date 28th July based on that, but my midwife said August 2nd..my mum went two weeks over with both me and my sister so if it’s ok I’ll stay in this group? Please 😊

@octobergirl91 I’ve only had occasional nausea (mainly when I don’t eat) and sore boobs sometimes too. I had convinced myself it wasn’t a good thing so definetely don’t worry x

I’ve also had the weirdest of dreams and they’re so persistent. I dream of people I haven’t met in years and don’t really want to. They’re so bizarre they wake me up.

Btw I’m still so sick 🤢 threw up twice yest. Constant nausea. Really thought it would be different past the 12 week mark..

Had my scan today, exactly 12 weeks but need to go back in 2 weeks as was a tiny bit too small to do the NT measurement. Bit gutting as couldn't get a proper dating scan. But was lovely to see the little thing on a screen moving around once it woke up! Plus we get to see it again in 2 weeks! But my main worries have been settled, had a heartbeat and all limbs and brain looked normal!

So reassuring to see and hear about all these lovely scans. I love a scan picture!

6 days 7 hours and 51 minutes until our scan. I'm obviously not counting 🙄

@sacrecoeur0712 Aww thank you! Sorry I didn't update sooner! What should have been a wonderful day celebrating and smiling ended up with a pounding headache and head in the toilet! Small price to pay though! Would update my scan pic but looks like everyone else's!

@jelliestogether what’s an NT measurement? I haven’t yet had a dating scan so wondering how that is different from previous scans where they just measure length and tell you how far along you are. Great you get another scan in 2 weeks!

I really love seeing all of these pictures! My blob doesn't like the echo machine as every time I have an echo they spin around the opposite direction!

Another good scan here! I'm so relieved. Everything is looking great and I can stop my medication. Baby still measuring 12+5. Due 3rd Aug.
