August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

Aww it's so lovely seeing all the 12 week scan photos! They look amazing and I'm so happy for you all.
It's sort of hard being due at the very end of August because when I had my scan last week, mine still looked a bit like a smudge 😂. I'm so jealous!! They've said I can have another one next week when I'll be 10 weeks so I'm hoping for a clearer picture then. Even though it's only an 8 week scan photo, I can't stop looking at it 😍. My nausea seems to be getting worse if it's possible but my sore boobs don't seem to be as bad as before. I'm trying not to worry now as the scan last week showed baby being bigger by a few days with a strong heartbeat so I've got to control my anxiety a bit 😅.
I'll feel better after 10 week scan! One week to go!

Everyone's scans are getting me excited. I've booked a private scan tomorrow morning and I'm keeping everything crossed that baby will be okay!

Has anyone had any random nose bleeds? I've just been shopping at Tesco and it started randomly.

@ABearandABump yes! And we knew my colleague was pregnant because she would get nose bleeds. Apparently very common.

I can’t keep up with everyone else who’s had lovely news today! Congratulations everyone! I can’t stop looking at the photo, I was amazed how much the little one was moving about!

@curlywurlywoo mine was asleep at first, so still with just the heartbeat going I was a bit worried, then they made me shake my hips and it woke up wiggling all around! Crazy how much they're moving and you can't feel it yet...

@Jelliestogether awww! That’s so sweet! Having an nice cosy nap! I can’t believe how much what we do affects them, I sort of assumed they were in the matrix Mine simply refused to co operate and had its arse in the air, then went upside down so sonographer had me roll left to right a couple of times.. baby still refused to budge so she started jiggling my tummy with the wand and eventually he/she went to the right position 😂 I believe it has inherited my husbands stubborness 😂 I actually think I felt it move last night, was the strangest feeling..was like having someone drum their fingers inside, I wasn’t sure but after seeing where the scan wand was it was definitely some kind of movement I felt

Im so excited to feel some movements! Sometimes i think i feel it, but as soon af got think it is gone again! This is no 2 for me, when did everyone who has 2+ start getting movements on their 2nd? Also finally starting to have a little bump! 😊 i'm still down 5 kilos but my appetite is back so hopefully it will go back on my tummy!

Smiling at all your scan photos they are so lovely to see! Hope everyone is okay! I have had a sick free day so let's see what tomorrow holds I pigged out while I could 😂need to get this weight back on before I see my midwife 😬

@chocolate89 I sometimes look like I have a bump- yesterday I looked massive and really bloated- I looked about 5/6 months. But it seems to have gone down over night!

12 week scan today! Anyone else?

Worried how I will keep enough fluid down to have a full bladder with all the sickness - apparently it takes an hour with twins!

I’ve been up since 4:30 - absolutely unbearable lower back pain and can’t get comfy in bed. Top tips anyone? Don’t remember this from when pregnant with DD.

Good luck for scans today everyone! I'm 12+1 now, it feels nice to have reached the 12 week mark! Still 6 days till scan though!

Hey ladies,

Had my 12 week scan yesterday. Measuring 12+3 so new EDD of 5th August ❤️

Had the blood test and urine test was sent off. Does anyone know what the urine is tested for? I can't remember having it tested with my son 2 years ago 🤦🏽‍♀️. Xxx

Hi ladies.....I'm still here lurking in the background trying not to vomit! I find looking at my phone for longer than 5 minutes really doesn't help so I've not been on much.

My scan is next Wednesday and absolutely petrified, had bad news at these before but keeping everything crossed!

@MeghanV07 congrats! From what I recall from booking in urine is to check Ketones/diabetes and they've also introduced a check now for strep b but can't remember if that's blood or urine.

@QueenofFox thank you ❤️ the MCA said 'infections' and then said about urine infections but didn't elaborate on the infection part. I remember my midwife mentioning strep b now at my booking appointment. Glad they've bought that in! Xxx

@CalmerComber; My due date is: 5. August. Same as you!

So still on the crazy dreams last night I was a pirate but entered into a Harry potter themed competition to find certain objects , I stole an old fashioned typewriter that all the other contestants tried to get off me - then it cut to me being in a water park going down huge slides - 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 so random!

Waiting for my 12 week scan and I just need to have a wee 😩 as much as I've been waiting for scan all week I need a wee right now more 🤣🙈 hope everyone ok! Xx

@calmercomber good luck too! with my 12w scan with ds I had to go and do a half wee as my bladder was too full 😂 so dont worry too much as long as its not empty.

Lovely to see all the scans coming in! I'm 9+5 by LMP and haven't even got a date for mine yet, so well jel! I'm trying to remember why I thought a private scan wasn't a good idea? Hmm.
Also generally feeling rubbish so good to hear that at least a few of you feel a bit better.

Hi ladies! Just joined in here as I've been a bit slow to make everything official. Self referred to midwifery unit today and now awaiting a scan date. I'm 10 weeks in, and first experience of serious morning sickness this morning! Probably should tell my folks now...
