August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

@lickencivers oh I'm losing weight, I'm petrified I'm doing something wrong. This is my second baby, and I put 3 stone on in the last pregnancy.

I'm struggling to eat anything remotely healthy except apples and bananas, everything else makes me gag!

I'm sure by the 2nd trimester I'll be back to eating like a pig again!

Chocolate89 · 22/01/2019 21:06

Hi all, checking back in on the new thread. Due 4th august.

Im so so sorry to hear all the sad news, my heart goes out to you! I was there back in july and it is just earth shattering news. Mind yourselves xxx
@beardandabump i'm so sorry to hear about your uncle xx

I spent the day with my best friend and her baby (5 days old) and it really just makes you reslise that despite the nausea, tiredness, insomnia, and general life consuming anxiety that comes with pregnancy... we are really so lucky to be here. Best of luck to all those with upcoming scans, and lovely pics to all recently scanned!

UnicornDust17 · 22/01/2019 22:37

12 weeks scan went well, baby measuring a week ahead now but I'll stop with you lovely ladies if that's OK. Very relieved and hope this gives some reassurance to the those who don't have many symptoms (I have hardly any, which I'm grateful for in one way, but it does increase the worry in another way).

My thoughts are with those who have had losses, after going through so many over the past couple of years I know how it feels.

I can't quite believe it, tbh.

@ABearandABump I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. Sending you hugs.

UnicornDust17 · 22/01/2019 22:39

@marajade12 that must have been so scary, i hope you're feeling a little better by now. Rest up and good luck tomorrow x

emma1224 · 22/01/2019 23:48

scan in 12 hours 🙈🙈🙈🙈

LauraJustMe · 23/01/2019 02:44

Hi Ladies,

Took me a while to find the latest thread for August 2019 - but here I am! Due August 19th give or take!

I had my first scan yesterday at 10 weeks and all is looking great. First time mum here, and going it alone which is scary but I'm feeling positive that I can do this. Struggling with nausea for about the past 3 weeks, so ginger tea and ritz crackers are my best friends!

Looking forward to sharing everyone's journeys :)

Bakingabean · 23/01/2019 06:51

@unicorndust17 great scan picture! So happy for you! What's your new due date? Are you very end of July like me?

And good luck today @clairelee17 & @emma1224 !

Also I hate insomnia. Woken at 4 by the dog wanting to get under the covers (she's had a haircut and got cold!) and I haven't been back to sleep. So fricking tired!

UnicornDust17 · 23/01/2019 07:07

@Bakingabean yes, 28th July... What's the yours? Are we still due date buddies? Grin

Good luck @clairelee17 & @emma1224 thinking of you both - and anyone else with scans today xx

UnicornDust17 · 23/01/2019 07:08

Congrats @LauraJustMe and welcome x

Hey everyone!

Kind of embarrassed to admit I’ve been lurking since the early days but only just posting today. I wanted to wait until all was confirmed at the 12 week scan which was yesterday.
Currently 11w5d and due 9/8/19 with DC2.
Sorry to have read about people’s losses and troubles Flowers

Bakingabean · 23/01/2019 07:14

@unicorndust17 I'm 29th July so not quite but nearly!

Have you told your colleagues yet? I did yesterday and one lady has already asked me how she gets my job when I go on leave! She actually stood and questioned me and then went to see our boss to ask. 😯

MeghanV07 · 23/01/2019 07:41

@Bakingabean wow 😂😂

Lovely scan @UnicornDust17

Good luck to all those who have scans today ❤️

UnicornDust17 · 23/01/2019 07:44

Oh wow @Bakingabean! Think she might well be what MN calls a CF? Grin

Only my immediate boss knows and that because I had to have so much time out of the office before Xmas for hospital and drs appointments and off sick, and felt I owed him an explanation.

Plus I had to declare the medication I've been on incase of an accident Confused

OctoberGirl91 · 23/01/2019 07:46

Lovely scan @UnicornDust17 ❤️

I can't remember last time I had a restful nights sleep just tossing and turning all night, my scan is 4th I'll be around 11 weeks as I ovulated later but midwife had to go off LMP, getting anxious but trying remain positive. Good luck to anyone having scans today xxx

IrishCypriot · 23/01/2019 09:14

Hello All

I dropped off the first thread due to an early pregnancy scare. Have missed you all.

Had my 12 week scan on Monday just gone and all was well. My due date is actually 31st July apparently! So I don't even belong on this thread anymore

Can't believe you're now on fourth! - I've missed so much Shock

lmason17 · 23/01/2019 10:24

Further to my previous post, got some bad news I'm afraid! I had a missed miscarriage and the baby stopped developing at 5 weeks - obviously sad but what is meant to be is meant to be!

Good luck everyone and enjoy your pregnancy, every day of it!! xxx

lickencivers · 23/01/2019 10:34

@BakingBean wowzers!!

11+4 and utterly exhausted

Any one else experiencing odd things, like my BP is normally (and even in other pregnancies) been acceptable at 120/80 and with this pregnancy Im sitting at 100/50 complete with dizzy spells and feeling faint, had a hot shower and then needed to lay down afterwards, and its scary AF!

abw94 · 23/01/2019 10:59

@Bakingabean blimey she's keen!! I wouldn't have been to keep my mouth shut!

Ninunina · 23/01/2019 11:41

I'm so sorry to hear @lmason17
I was really hoping you'd have a different outcome. Take care and spoil yourself with a bit of shopping and a giant piece of cake.

Jokie · 23/01/2019 12:09

@Floriday: welcome!

@lmason17: I'm so sorry for your loss.

@lickencivers; I often have low blood pressure. Try having some salty crisps as that always helps me.

Jokie · 23/01/2019 12:10

@Bakingabean: that's very keen! Saying that, I had colleagues hovering around my desk like vultures when I went on maternity leave the last time seeing what they could get their hands on.

marajade12 · 23/01/2019 12:25

So my 12 week scan, not all entirely good news but I’m ok with that. No sign of heart defects this time though which is a massive relief ( had to tfmr last pregnancy due to heart complications)
Baby was very naughty and would not stay still so scan took ages. Baby’s bowel was noted to be on the outside. They said it’s quite common and normally goes back in by itself. Has anyone else had this?

I’m back for another scan in two weeks time, then scan at the Foetal Medicine Unit at 16 weeks then another scan with the cardiologist at 19 weeks as I’m am higher risk for heart issues (eek!)

I don’t think I’ll be able to fully relax until 20 weeks 😓

QueenofFox · 23/01/2019 12:36

@lmason17 I'm really sorry. What a lovely message that I will take to heart. Wishing you well for the future.

@marajade12 I've not heard of this, but it sounds like it could work out ok - I really hope so. I had fortnightly scans for a different issue in my last pregnancy and it is terrifying. Hoping all goes well for you.

Chocolate89 · 23/01/2019 13:17

@lmason17 i'm so sorry for your loss xxx

@marajade12 fingers crossed all goes well my dear! Keep us updated!

How is everyone else doing today? Xx
