August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

Thanks for the replies, sorry I can't remember who now but there were a few on the old thread. Got a drs appointment this afternoon so fx they will give me something. The last 24hrs I've been sick constantly and now have a headache. We can only take paracetamol cant we? It's not touched it. Luckily dp has taken ds1 out this morning so I could go back to bed as I just couldn't do anything.

Hope everyone is well, sorry I'm struggling to keep up cant believe 4 pages in to a new thread since yesterday!

Kileah18 · 21/01/2019 09:27

Hi all just checking in.
Finally 12 weeks today have my scan & booking appointment next Monday.
Haven't been nauseous the whole way through until this last week and it's been every day!
Good luck everyone with scans coming up this week! X

bubblegumunicorn · 21/01/2019 10:50

Hey all just checking in finally made it to 12 weeks! Now to just get to my scan next Monday how's everyone feeling today? I'm still super nauseous!

clairelee17 · 21/01/2019 11:07

12 weeks on Wednesday and scan on the same day. It should be a really exciting time, and I should be looking forward to it, but I'm extremely nervous and emotional, and just want to cry. I don't have any reason to be nervous as I haven't had any bleeding, spotting or cramps. But my previous mmc started with spotting and ended within two days - all very quickly. I had no previous tell-tale signs. So I'm beyond nervous that I won't hear or see a heartbeat on the screen on Wednesday. Wish it would hurry up in some ways, but then I don't want to know in case it's bad news. I'm all over the place at the moment :(

UnicornDust17 · 21/01/2019 11:37

@clairelee17 I feel the same. I'm incredibly anxious for my scan tomorrow. This is the furthest I've got in 7 years and I'm just dreading bad news tomorrow. I don't have any reason to suspect bad news, no spotting or anymore bleeding, but equally I'm very light in symptoms. I have to keep telling my self I've followed the treatment plan and gave been trying to rest up as much as possible.

It's such a hard time.

Fingers crossed and sticky thoughts to everyone xxx

clairelee17 · 21/01/2019 12:19

@UnicornDust17 poor you. We're feeling exactly the same. It's horrible feeling like this when it should be exciting. I can't think past Wednesday morning. We haven't even told our families yet through fear of upsetting them again if it's bad news. If it's good news, I haven't even thought past the scan and telling them. I can't let myself yet. Argghh!

pixietheginger · 21/01/2019 12:59

@UnicornDust17 @clairelee17 I hear you, I'm 11 weeks and I've never made it this far. I find it hard not to stress about the 12 week scan and keep thinking it's all going to go wrong, despite having had a scan at 10 weeks (all good) and not having any reasons to suspect bad news. I feel sad I'm not enjoying what should be an exciting time and I'm quite sure that, even if it's all good at 12 weeks, I will continue to feel anxious thinking the 20 week scan and so on :(

My DH keeps telling me that I'm doing everything I can to give this the best shot (treatment plan with too many hormones and nearly bed rest) and the stress it's not going to help. I know he's right but easily said than done! At least he's taken over all the housework and cooking so I can relax more (silver lining and all that!)

Fingers crossed this is the one for us! x

Kariana · 21/01/2019 13:30

@scotsbaby2 I've resent my email but it was definitely right first time unless I'm missing a really weird error I've made. My setting are for anyone to find me so hopefully should work!

@millie2000 sorry to hear it's worrying you. I keep getting worried about the pains I'm feeling but they are more like period cramps 😦 Last pregnancy I had sharp pains though and once around 25 weeks they were so bad I was rolling around the bed in agony and ended up in A&E. Everything was fine though!

Legomummy91 · 21/01/2019 14:29

Well everything looked good at the scan! Feel much more relaxed now. Good luck everyone with theirs still to come

QueenofFox · 21/01/2019 14:57

Hi all. Scan on 4ty Feb, will update with my details after that as I know the date will change and hoping all looks good, feeling more and more nervous each day. Thanks for collating and good idea to do again as a sensitive way of allowing people to disappear if they prefer.
Glad to see some positive scans coming through and best wishes to all those who have theirs this week. It's an anxious time.

bananamonkey · 21/01/2019 15:35

Hello am I too late to join everyone?

Bananamonkey 18th Aug DC2

Had my booking appointment last Wednesday and scan appt came though Friday (!) for Weds 6th. I’m very anxious this time round I think because everything went well last time, now it feels like it’s my turn for back luck. Am starting to feel less rotten now which is good but I’m hungry ALL THE TIME. And struggling with exercise, no bump yet just fat/bloated round the middle.

MrsRyan15 · 21/01/2019 15:45

Had my 12 week scan today, so excited to be over that hurdle and can finally tell people / stop trying to hide it!! Although if dh had his way we would still only tell very close family!

They moved my date forward by 3 days so EDD now 01/08/19

August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea
MrsRyan15 · 21/01/2019 15:54

Fab scan @Legomummy91 it's such a relief isn't it.

Hoping the relaxed feeling will last a while now that I'm past that 12 week mark, I had a private scan a few weeks ago and a week later I was worrying again about every little thing!!

Poppy012 · 21/01/2019 15:58

Great news on the scans ladies @mrsryan15 @legomummy91 such great pics too xx

Cobblestones · 21/01/2019 16:05

Lovely scan pics ladies! And hope it goes well for anyone due there’s in the coming days.

I’ve had a couple of private scans earlier on. Have my booking appointment on wed and hopefully will then have a date for the dating scan. By way of calculation it should be Aug 2.

Schmexy · 21/01/2019 16:25

I've been to the drs and prescribed some meds for sickness so hoping they kick in quickly also had booking appointment today so feel like its all happening at last! Just waiting for scan letter now.

Ducksandacorns · 21/01/2019 19:14

Hello all.

Sad post I'm afraid. I had another early scan today (9+4 weeks) and unfortunately the baby's heartbeat has stopped. It was measuring about 7 weeks so had grown since the scan two weeks ago (when I saw heartbeat but was measuring behind my calculated dates). Booked in for surgery later this week.

Sending you all lots of luck. My story won't be yours so please don't worry.

ScotsBaby2 · 21/01/2019 19:25

So sorry to hear that @Ducksandacorns. Look after yourself and I hope the surgery goes ok. Sending lots of love xxx
