August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

@PinkLady89x I did some googling after my 9 week scan and found out once you see the heartbeat your chances of miscarrage drop to 3% it's something I clung on too until my 12 week scan!

emma1224 · 30/01/2019 11:52

@PinkLady89x I know it's a worrying time and after every scan there will always be nerves which is normal so please try not to panic x
I'd say just relax as much as you can and just look forward to seeing baby tomorrow!
Sending you all the best xx

loveshinealight · 30/01/2019 13:50

Any twins yet?

My scan isn't till feb 13th (I'll be nearly 14 weeks!). My bump is much bigger than it was in my first pregnancy. I have the fear!

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/01/2019 13:54

My first scan is next friday

I am 9+5 today and have a bump Shock also on my arse with exhaustion

Trying to tell myself its all because its baby 5 .....

weegiehere · 30/01/2019 13:56

@IVEgottheDECAF - no wonder you are exhausted! I'm exhausted running around after one 😴

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/01/2019 13:59

I have taken to having naps with the two year old on my days off work!

Im not eating well atm which i know if contributing to my feeling crap, need to get some veggies in me i think

marajade12 · 30/01/2019 15:50

Good luck to anyone with scans coming up. Got my screening results today and everything is low risk so that’s one less thing to worry about. Now the waiting game until next wednesdays follow up scan.

I really need to tell work as Im getting pretty obvious now! None of my normal work blouses fit as my boobs have gotten enormous

pixietheginger · 30/01/2019 16:28

@marajade12 glad everything is low risk and hope follow up scan goes well. I've started wearing cardigans on top of my blouses to hide my new huge boobs (honestly it looks like I've had a boob job)

EverythingNow · 30/01/2019 16:52

Great news @marajade12!

Dolleymix · 30/01/2019 17:28

Had my scan today.....thankfully we got to see a wriggly bean waving at us!! Finally starting to seem real....it's been 11 years since I last did this!!

@dolleymix New EDD 10th August

2 hours until my 10 week scan 😱. So nervous!
Good luck everyone having their scan today.

UnicornDust17 · 31/01/2019 06:33

Good luck everyone with your scans xx

Bakingabean · 31/01/2019 06:53

It's so lovely seeing all the scan pictures! Good luck today everyone!

I'm 14 weeks now and feel less pregnant than ever! Nausea (fingers crossed) is mostly gone except for brushing my teeth, my boobs are less sore (but still massive) and I just look a bit like I need to lose a few (more than a few) pounds! I feel like I'm lying to myself..
I know it's only been 2 weeks since my scan but I'm tempted to book another private one for a few weeks to bridge the gap till the 20week one in march...

QueenofFox · 31/01/2019 07:29

Congrats to all those who've had their lovely scans!

And hope all goes smoothly for those coming up. Mine on Monday, this week is crawling by!

Floriday · 31/01/2019 07:29

Good luck with the scans today!!
I’m another one feeling less rough, evenings are still up and down but I can get through a day at work without feeling like I’m going to be sick. Definitely showing, but my work dresses hang nicely over and cover it mostly, hoping to make it to 16 weeks without them noticing, only 3 more to go.

Whoopsies · 31/01/2019 07:46

Got my scan today but got to wait til 3 20!! Just glad the day is finally here. I'm 13 weeks today and definitly been feeling better these last few days!! I even stayed up till 9 30 watching something on tv last night!!! 😂

Poppy012 · 31/01/2019 07:52

Good luck with all the scans I'm also feeling much better now at 12 weeks I love the second trimester Grin

OctoberGirl91 · 31/01/2019 08:08

Good luck to everyone with scans! I am now on the countdown till Monday for my scan, although nerves were getting better of me and then morning sickness in full swing again this morning😷

xx

Poppy012 · 31/01/2019 08:17

Ah @octobergirl91 bet you can't wait!!! What time is yours on Monday? Mine's Wednesday now xx

PinkLady89x · 31/01/2019 08:34

I'm so pleased! Baby was perfect today! Heart rate of 172 bpm and measuring 10 weeks 2 days. Considering I thought I'd only be 9 weeks 4 days, I'm happy that it's bigger than expected. I even saw a wave with its little tiny hand ❤️.
Good luck everyone with their scans coming up!

clairelee17 · 31/01/2019 08:41

Good luck to anyone having scans today, thinking of you all!

@BakingaBean I know what you mean! I'm half tempted to book a scan in a few weeks to just make sure everything is still ok. It's a long wait til the 20 week scan!

MrsRyan15 · 31/01/2019 08:55

@Bakingabean I'm the same as you 14 weeks today, feeling pretty normal and much less bloated.

The 20 week scan feels so far away (not that I have a date yet), trying to resist the urge to book another private scan.
