HI alice, i'm here

will finish reading your post and be back

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:15

Hi J20! How are you doing?

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:16

evening ladies,

How are you tonight?

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:16

Hi Winnie too! Surprisingly awake at this time for me. Usually exhausted in bed by now but for some reason I'm wide awake!

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:18

Me too.

Got DD's bedroom tidied today. Dumped all the toys into hr playroom so that needs to be sorted romorrow.

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:19

I really need to tidy out our spare room. Full of old stuff of ds's and loads of other junk. And ds will need it as his bedroom when this one arrives. Keep finding better things to do though like chatting to you lot!

j20baby · 09/07/2007 22:21

alice-glad they're are doing a bit better, it will take time wont it.

at your mil, i like paddy out of the 2 names, but i'm a sucker for the Irish accent{swoon} so thats probably why

well, i've finished my sewing, even did the hems on the curtains my bro and sil asked me to do, but pretty pi*ed off with them actually, rung them to check measurements and my bro said 'oh, haven't you done them yet' me ' errr, no, since last week i finished painting my ceiling, laid my stair carpet and stripped most of the walls downstairs of woodchip, and no fu*er bothered to come and help did they?'
him 'oh, ok well erm, just let me know when you've done them' considering sil works about 3 hours a week, has no kids and doesn't do no housework, i think she could have managed to measure, cut and tack the bloody curtains herself and i wouldn't have minded running them through the sewing machine-selfish twats!!

sorry, rant over

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:23

Can't believe you're making curtains for them when you are doing so much for yourself already and they are no help to you!!!! Some people are SO ungrateful!

Now if you were making MY curtains....

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:23

My office needs tidying up as I have got some Avon stuff down in the lounge that should really be up here., but every time I come upstairs I end up on the computer instead of tidying.

Also I need to get the bed in the spare room(soon to be nursery) made up into a double for my parents this weekend. I will need some help though as it is a bit heavy when trying to get the legs up with the mattress on top.

j20baby · 09/07/2007 22:23

sorry guys was ranting

got our delivery of the bundle of baby clothes through today, dd looked through them, i wasn't allowed until she had, and her poor friends sat there being told how cute they all where but they wasn't allowed to touch them! ever, apparantly! so possesive!

j20baby · 09/07/2007 22:25

winnie-make sure you get some help, don't go doing it yourself.

hmm, now what if i was to do the hem a little bit wonky or short would that be cruel? ;)

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:25

J2O, I would have told them to SOD OFF. They have not offered you any help at all,so why should you do anything for them.

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:25

Winnie make sure you get the help - if the worst comes to the worst your parents can help when they arrive.

J20 you rant away honey! I would feel like telling them to stuff the bl**dy curtains somewhere painful!!! Great to hear your dd so excited about your lo though!

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:26

Yes yes J20!!!! Or how about sewing prawns into the hem Old and unoriginal but very funny!!!

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:27

I will ask DP or MIL to help me with it. I did it on my own in my, but it was too much for me and had to lie down afterwards. Also MIL may be over tomorrow, so I may ask her to help me with it.

j20baby · 09/07/2007 22:28

i did think of that! or i could put catnip in and see if there cats rip them to shreds ha ha

do you know what, your both right, i am too nice, i said i would put them through the sewing machine, but not do the rest of it!

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:28

I like that idea alice.

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:29

Especially if he is so rude as to ask you are they done yet - I would tell him to do it himself

j20baby · 09/07/2007 22:30

anyway, what do you all think about me taking early maternity leave? i have 3 weeks worth of hols, so if i work next monday, then i'm on hol for a weekend anyway and then take my other 3 weeks, means i will leave at 35 weeks?

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:31

Catnip is a good one - less obvious than prawns too!

OK so am going to have to try and sleep now. Will have to be up at 6.30 for work and if I have another disrupted night going to be shattered tomorrow if stay here chatting. Might be back in a bit if not successful!

Sleep well ladies and try not to chat too much tomorrow so it doesn't take too long to catch up !!!

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:31

Next week we are going to move the bed from the spare room into DD's playroom and get rid of the bed that is currently in there.

If anyone wants a single bed with a another that pulls out underneath it, let me know.

Dp as also said that once I have sorted out the drawers in my office he will move them into the nursery for me to put the baby clothes in.

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:32

Early mat leave sounds fabJ20 - am jealous! I'm staying until 10th Sept. I really really want to have as much time as poss after ds2 arrives. We will struggle with nursery fees for ds1 on my reduced salary and we really want him to keep as much the same as poss after this lo arrives. Plus will need the days he is at nursery to catch up on my sleep if this lo is anything like him!!!

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:33

I am a SAHM now, but when I was expecting DD I finished a month before my due date.

alicet · 09/07/2007 22:34

Good luck with all your furniture moving winnie! Hope you manage to get it all sorted. Think we might be up to the same this weekend - tidying all the junk into the loft at least anyway!

OK really am going to bed now! Speak tomorrow evening xxx

WinnieThePooh · 09/07/2007 22:35

Night Alicet

I hope you have a good night's sleep.
