j20baby · 06/07/2007 19:51

hi all

ejt-sorry i missed the scare about your dad but so glad he's ok!

ft and the lady-the posts you left where a great help, thank you so much

wee, i am so happy! my new suite came today, and after having to rush home from work to get it and then back for a meeting i have only just sat down on it, and its wonderful, it reclines!!!! i love it, i love it!!

the only thing is, i don't want anyone touching it dd put her feet on it earlier argghhhh!
and i'm having to try and decorate round it, but will just have to be careful, also picked my new table up today, and its really nice!

so, all i need to do now, is wait for the people from freecycle to pick my old couch up, [grrrr] and finish stripping, wallpapering and somehow find the money to buy the flooring and get it fitted for my open plan living room and dining room and my house will be more or less finished..yippee

hello to everyone

j20baby · 06/07/2007 19:54

congrats lisa on your friends baby

ft(i think??) i would have liked a changing unit, but don't think it will fit, your not that far away from me really, just across the bridge

oh, i've run out of after eights, will have to get up and get another box out of the fridge

i knew i shouldn't have sat down! i need to take all the seats of my new dining table chairs to wash them and my friend has asked me to go out tonight, but i'm just so tired...and skint!

TheLadyEvenstar · 06/07/2007 19:55

J20 glad i could help. Now does anyone want a lo that won't get off my nerve????

Why am I having so much pain with this pregnancy? I don't remember it being like this with ds.

Back always bad, right leg stiff, cramp every night, tight chest and constant indigestion......

But i did buy lo a new t-shirt it is white and has blue trim on it....across front it says "mummys new man"

TheLadyEvenstar · 06/07/2007 20:15

Soz peeps, need to get something off my chest have been keeping it inside all day and now I am at boiling point...will probably seem stupid i know.

My ds goes to the school my mum works in and has a fair amount of bullying... Anyway i thought i had combated it by talking to the head etc. On monday my mum had to go out with the class she works in and a little shit (sorry) who is in my ds's class told the others "we can do what we want to K today as his nan isn't here to stop us hitting him as much as we like".

I held my tongue until today when as i dropped ds off this thing turned to him and said "watch yourself today" at which point I looked at him and said "His nan may not be here right now but I am and I am not going to stand here and let you talk to him like that or threaten him"
The kid laughed at me I carried on and told him "I heard what you said on monday about hitting him and doing what you want to him as his nan wasn't here and guess what I won't let you do that, just remember you walk home alone and I know a lot of kids bigger than you just like you are bigger than him, so if you want to hit lets see who gets hurt the worst"

I know I shouldn't have said that but I am fed up with this boy picking on my ds. I have told the school time and time again about this boy and I realised this week nothing has changed the way he treats ds. I did then tell a teacher who I get on very well with and he told ds not to worry and he would deal with this and any other situation that arises. God why did I lose it enough to say that? I wouldn't normally.....

MrsFish · 06/07/2007 20:31

FWIW I would have probably said the same thing.

alicet · 06/07/2007 20:31

Don't blame you thelady. I wouldn't have been able to contain myself either if he said something like that to my ds!!! Lets hope it works.

Ejt sorry to hear about your dad and all the worry you have had but really pleased all well.

Polar gld all good with you too! Plus I don't think you should worry about Zara - its not the same anyway and even if it was so what. Our ds has the same name as one of my cousins because we just loved it!

Can't remember what the rest of you have been chatting about all day while I've been busy at work ! Hope you're all happy and well though.

Well we're off down to stay with bil this weekend so will finally get to meet my niece! And the good news is sil has been accepted into the mother and baby unit for early next week which is a massive step in the right direction for her. So won't be about until Monday night. hope you all have great weekends and I'll look forward to catching up then.

xxx

j20baby · 06/07/2007 22:40

thats great alice, glad she's making progress of sorts

thelady, i don't think i would have been so reserved if i'd heard someone say that about my child, in fact i would probably be locked up.

am a bit pissed off now, my mum is the bane of my life! (long story) basically, she's got 2 blokes on the go at the minute, and they are both complete tossers! she has now gone back to the one that punched her on sunday as the other on has smashed her phone up and threatened to send people round to my house and my brothers( it wasn't stated what they where going to do, smash it up presumably) i'm so sick of her flitting between them both, when they both do this kind of thing, i just don't know if i can take any more, and i don't want to have to move again, sometimes i feel like i'd be better off without her, sorry for the rant, just so tired and fed up, was having a good day till she rung me

OOO I get the first message of the morning

Morning all.

I am going to be spending this weekend sorting out shed and loft, well i'll be supervising hehe.
We decided to get things ready for little lady early as I was in hospital so long last time, I had to send dh home with lists of things to do, as i never got home until a week after Tanihsa was born.

Hope your all well and enjoying the sun.

Lisa

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 09:24

Morning Lisa
and if only I had sent this morning message earlier i would have been first. Been up since 5.30 just couldn't sleep

j20baby · 07/07/2007 09:35

Morning everyone

inzi-my mum can sometimes be a lovely person but since she divorced a couple of years ago(her choice) she has become a very selfish person, she has tried to commit suicide a few times, once when i was in the middle of my a levels(over one of these men), she can't stand to be alone, i wish i could just keep away from her tbh but at the same time i need her.

rung my friend last night crying and he ended up coming to stay the night in case anything happened, i still didn't sleep too well though. oh well, another day, and the sun is shining-so far.

sorry for the rant.

also inzi(i think?) my brother and his gf have a big double room for there cats and they have a bed each, although they do get kicked out if they have visitors staying

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 09:37

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr Just been called Ignorant on another posting as I want to spell my LO's name Konnor rather than Connor

lisad123 · 07/07/2007 09:41

Why lady, you can call your son what ever you like and spell any way too
I would spell it Konner personally, but do what you want.

Lisa

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 09:42

Lisa lol I plan to.....discussion was DP and I can't decide on one or 2 N's, he wants 2 Konnor, I wanted one Konor.

lisad123 · 07/07/2007 09:47

I wouldnt worry too much. Hope you can agree. Some people made some unhelpful comments when I named my dd tanisha, but everyone now says it suits her.

Hopeyour ok.
lisa

MrsFish · 07/07/2007 09:48

I would say two, otherwise it may be pronounced kow ner rather than kon ner

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 09:51

me just found this online....

The boy's name Konnor \k(on)-nor\ is pronounced KAHN-er.and its meaning is "desiring". See also Connor.

Konnor has 2 variant forms: Konner and Konor.

Baby names that sound like Konnor are Conor, Conner and Kenner.

Konnor is a very rare male first name and a very rare surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census). Displayed below is the baby name popularity trend for the boy's name Konnor.

muppetgirl · 07/07/2007 10:22

Morning all,

Am packing ds's bag as he and dh are going to grandma's (without me!!!!) they'll be back tomorrow afternoon so I get a whole night to myself --yipppeeeee-

....party at my place

would be quite subdued affair though, feet in washing up bowl with marbles (cheap foot spa) non-alcoholic drinks and bed before nine.....

J20 -Your mum sounds a little like mine, parents divorced at 14 sge and she's on husband no 3, living on a greek island. Haven't seen her for about 7-8 years as tears, tantrums and (mainly) alcohol got in the way. I can understand you're in a very difficult, and tiring, situation.

LES -I've tsught a few connor's (I was working in a catholic school!) and there seems to be loads of different speelings. At least you haven't treid Kiera, LOADS of differnt ways of spelling that!!
I always thnk go for the name you like as if you change it because of others you will always regret it.

Alicet -Glad your sil is going to get treatment, enjoy this weekend meeting your new neice

inzi -Our dogs sleep in the study and it stinks!! The pesky Jack Russell still wees in his bed everynight so he smells and the bed smells. I really felt for dh when he worked from home, especially when I took them out and it was raining! The smell of wet dogs was absolutely foul!

I want to cry am being called ignorant and thick on another posting after asking whether 1 or 2 n's looked better in Konnor. I am spelling with a K just because I like it.

j20baby · 07/07/2007 11:51

ooo i'll bring the angel delight

j20baby · 07/07/2007 11:52

j20baby · 07/07/2007 11:59
