@Exhaustedmummy1811 How is everything going? Did they manage to determine if your waters went? Thinking of you

@assumeitwassomethingcelver I've had 2 scans since my last update. First time fluid had gone up to 8.5cm which is better but still low. Today they have dropped slightly again. Consultant has said I definitely won't be allowed to go past 37 weeks incase it drops too low again and if it drops below 5 in the meantime we could be induced at 34 weeks. It's just a case of week to week monitoring to see how we go. They still can't seem to say for sure why my fluids are low as I don't have gestational diabetes, placenta is working fine, baby's bladder and kidneys are working well and she seems to be swallowing and weeing just fine, her movements are and great and heart rate is normal. Thank you for thinking of me xx

Yes I'm relieved everything appears to be fine with baby so that's one less thing to worry about. I had a really lovely consultant today and really wish I could just see her from now but it seems to be a different one everytime I go. Can I be added to this list please since I'll be having baby at 37 that makes my EDD 17th March x

Anyone else had/getting period like pains? I had them yesterday morning and have them tonight. They are pretty uncomfortable. So much so I have had to take paracetamol. Ended up ringing maternity unit who just said to come in if they become frequent/consistent/similar to contractions... Baby is VERY active tonight and his movements seems to be making the pain worse. I’m really uncomfortable? It doesn’t feel like contractions, just like period pain and I also feel nauseous. As well as that i’m getting twinges/sharpness up my vagina now and again. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?!

@villegefete could baby be hitting you in the cervix? Can make you feel a bit funny. Glad you’ve spoken to the maternity unit.

@VillageFete I had the exact same thing today! Period type pains, felt hot and sweaty and the baby went crazy. I was in the middle of teaching a lesson and had to stop! Complete panic from the kids in the class who thought I was going to spontaneously give birth 😂

Has anyone else started getting morning sickness again? I've had it the last couple of mornings - thought it was gone for good

Sickness is ramping up a bit. Always being sick in the morning but it's hitting during the day too again now.

Just been to the midwife and all is OK with madam. She is head down again so happily doing somersaults..... Hmm!

She made a note about the breathing issues, but just leaving it to the hospital for the ECG and then see where we go from there. Guess it will all depend what happens with breathing between now and Friday!

I’ve also been having a bit of nausea creep back (after horrific morning sickness in the first trimester I was hoping that was done with!)

I’m also getting a lot of pressure and cramps/ tightness. This last bit definitely isn’t fun, is it?!

Pram and car seats arrived today. Just want to get on and meet the little fella now!

You've reminded me I need to sort the car seat out for LO though!

We had the fun at the weekend of working out how to take the covers off the baby seat and washing them. Need to reassemble all the wedges/inserts but at least we know where they all are

@SquirtlesMumAgain or anyone do you need to wash new car seat covers? And Pram bits? Mine are new, still in various boxes so not sure what to do with them.

No need to wash new car seat/pram bits. Mostly they won’t be in direct contact with baby’s skins so no need to worry, though I would personally wash all new clothes.

With the nursery done, and the car seat having arrived, I’m another one who just can’t wait now and want to hurry up and meet the little fella.

Yep, we didn't wash them first time round just washing as the seat had been stored for getting on for a year (yep DS was in it until he was well over 2 - tiny bean!).

Have rewashed all the tiny clothes too for the same reason. They seemed to be fine in their bags but don't want to take the risk.

I need to try and get over to waitrose to buy some bottom butter tomorrow (for her not me)! Living the high life... Beyond getting some water wipes for the first bit I think we are pretty much ready.

Still feels like ages to go now, but these small people can put in an appearance at any point!

I have tomorrow down as my washing and sorting teeny clothes day! I’m self employed and have almost wound up all my work stuff now, just a few more documents to tie up and then one last meeting next week so I’m hoping I don’t struggle to fill the days during this final stretch!
