@Babynum2 fingers crossed you get to have cuddles soon and your new little bundle will be home before you know it 😊

babyp160 · 07/01/2019 19:42

A friend of mine had her baby last week and intended to breast feed but it didn't work.

She said hospital don't supply milk at all.

Is this right?

What milk did you take if so

Babynum2 · 07/01/2019 19:49

@alicejj8x so sorry for your loss but like you said hes at rest now no more pain!

@lookingatthestats89 iv just been down and they have took him off oxygen he just has sugar water drip now and im actully in tears that i have produced milk! I had a correction on my breasts and i had silicon put under my muscle to even them as 1 was a D and one was a B a few years ago i couldnt produce milk with DD and they said it may be for this reason but i just hand expressed into a syringe and he took it straight awAy!
I hope little teddy is okay is he aloud out for cuddles yet? X

Babynum2 · 07/01/2019 19:51

Alicejj8x · 07/01/2019 19:52

@Babynum2 thank you so much. Yes and he's looking down. Congrats on your little one hope baby is ok xxx

Surprisedmom · 07/01/2019 20:04

@Babynum2 congratulations! I hope you’re both reunited soon and that he’s allowed out sooner than they currently predict (i’ve heard before that they say 6 weeks as standard but many babies are out in less).

@Alicejj8x i’m really sorry for your loss.

MummyBM · 07/01/2019 20:05

Congratulations @Babynum2, so exciting! It’s crazy that some people have weeks of work left and others have already had there babies and we are all due around the same time. I’m so excited to meet my baby, I feel she is going to arrive sooner I keep getting awful cramps and lots of watery discharge, I’m only 34 weeks so hope she stays in a little longer! A friend of mine had her little one last night and it was a wake up call for me. I haven’t packed a single thing yet for the hospital I think I’m in denial about her coming.

Yakadee · 07/01/2019 20:12

@Alicejj8x - so sorry for your loss. Like you say, at least he's not suffering. Wishing you and your family love xx

bubblybrit · 07/01/2019 20:14

So sorry to hear about your Grandad @Alicejj8x. Will be a horribly upsetting time but you are right in that he is now at peace. Your little girl may not get the chance to meet him but part of him will always live on in her. Thinking about you xx

Alicejj8x · 07/01/2019 20:19

Thank you everyone such lovely words xxxx

Babynum2 · 07/01/2019 20:30

@mummybm you might want to think about packing a bag thats how mine started x

Notquiteagandt · 07/01/2019 20:36

@alicejj8x I am sorry to hear this. But from what you said he sounded like a proud man. So he is at peace now cliche as it sounds. Just not nice for those left behind. Flowers xx

@Babynum2 that is brilliant on the milk front. You have got this 💪 my cousin is a lactation consultant who works in a hospital along side mothers of premies to help them suringe express etc. She is a volunter so under less pressure and time constraints that actual staff. Might be worth asking if you hospital has simular help available. But sounds like you are doing well Flowers

Yakadee · 07/01/2019 20:47

@MummyBM - re the watery discharge, keep an eye (not that you wouldn't) - my waters trickled in my first pregnancy and I was induced x

BeverlyZimek · 07/01/2019 21:15

Hi all, I would’ve posted sooner but everything was rather crazy. My girls are here! I started experiencing a headache and abdominal pains yesterday plus some dizziness so called my mum then while she was here starting throwing up so she called an ambulance. Turns out my fears had come true and I’d developed preeclampsia so I was taken in to have an emergency c-section. Luckily they are here now and both the babies and I will be staying in hospital to be monitored but all is looking okay for now. Abigail Beverly was born at 8:12 pm weighing 3 pounds 6 and Celeste Christine was born at 8:14 weighing 4 pounds 2. It was a very scary situation but honestly am so relieved to have them here and safe ❤️

Yakadee · 07/01/2019 21:20

@BeverlyZimek - wow, so scary! Well done you for getting help. Congratulations on your beautiful girls.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery xxx

maxiflump1 · 07/01/2019 21:20

Aw wow @BeverlyZimek what a scary time for you! So pleased that both of your girls and you are ok. Hope you had your bag suitably packed! Hope you can all come home soon.

Congratulations @BeverlyZimek that sounds really scary! I hope you and both the babies are okay and make a quick recovery!!

We will have to make a new baby thread soon!!

Fredthespider · 07/01/2019 21:24

@Alicejj8x so sorry to hear about your grandad. I lost my Gran in Sept so she never got to meet the baby either but she did at least know about it so I have some joy from knowing that.

@BeverlyZimek wow that must have been a shock but glad that you’re all ok! Congratulations, enjoy your time with your two little bundles x

2019Mama · 07/01/2019 21:25

@BeverlyZimek aww congratulations... wishing you all a quick recovery!

Celebelly · 07/01/2019 21:26

@BeverlyZimek Oh wow, congratulations!!!

Eyedontknow · 07/01/2019 21:29

Congrats @BeverlyZimek and @Babynum2 !

Sorry for your loss @Alicejj8x . I've also lost a grandparent during this pregnancy. It's odd thinking about that they'll never meet the baby, but, for me at least, it's comforting to remind myself they knew about the baby/that I was pregnant before they passed. Flowers

BeverlyZimek · 07/01/2019 21:31

So sorry for your loss @Alicejj8x was just reading through some of the comments and saw what happened!

Thank you guys, it was the scariest moment of my life, I had no idea whether they were okay or not because I knew how serious preeclampsia can be. I feel so lucky as it could’ve been a lot worse.

Surprisedmom · 07/01/2019 21:34

Congrats @BeverlyZimek! Hope you’re all reunited soon

Notquiteagandt · 07/01/2019 21:38

@BeverlyZimek oh wow congratulations. 2 little girls how lovely 😍 mums know best hey. Bet you where glad to have her there.
