Ooh, congratulations @BeverlyZimek just saw your update. How many weeks were you? Glad they are here safe.

lanalawr · 07/01/2019 21:40

@Alicejj8x I'm sorry for your loss.

@babyp160 you can buy small cartons of formula (about 200ml) which are ready to use and stored at room temperature while sealed.

@Babynum2 so pleased you've seen him and he's off oxygen! Fab news on the expressing too!

@BeverlyZimek congratulations! Sounds scary but I'm glad they made it safely.

twiglet · 07/01/2019 21:45

Congrats @BeverlyZimek and @Babynum2 that was quick for both of you!

Hopefully you will be able to hold your babies soon the NICU are incredible it's crazy to think that incubators started as a entertainment attraction!

bubblybrit · 07/01/2019 21:49

Congratulations @BeverlyZimek. So pleased that both your babies are here safely after what I’m sure was a really scary situation! Xx

BeverlyZimek · 07/01/2019 21:52

Thank you all! And I was 34 weeks and 3 days @AvoidingMarking, would’ve been induced on Wednesday xx

hayley013 · 07/01/2019 21:54

Congratulations @Babynum2 hope you're both able to be together soon.

@Alicejj8x so sorry to hear about your grandad xxx

powkin · 07/01/2019 21:54

Goodness me! Congratulations @BeverlyZimek - glad you are doing OK x

hayley013 · 07/01/2019 21:58

Wow congratulations @BeverlyZimek so glad they have arrived safe and you're ok xx

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/01/2019 22:05

Congratulations both!!! More babies, how lovely!!!

Alicejjx sorry about your grandad Sad I lost mine when DS was 6 months old and it hit me harder than I expected, even though it was "for the best". Give yourself time to grieve xx

Does anyone else have PGP? Mine started with pain only in the left side of my groin at night which I just put down to my sleeping position, but since the weekend it's gotten worse and is also in my lower back etc, movements like turning over in bed and getting up from a sitting position are so painful so I'm certain it's PGP. I guess I'm lucky it's only really kicked in now, but I hope it doesn't get much worse.

I've heard it tends to go immediately once the baby is born, is that true?

Rowse · 07/01/2019 22:31

@Lookingforadvice123 I saw the antenatal physio for PGP earlier in my pregnancy and she told me it goes right away. Although I've also heard that relaxin, the hormone which is part of the cause of PGP is still present when breastfeeding.

My PGP has come and gone and so it might not be the case that you have it for the rest of pregnancy.

Hope you find some relief. Sleeping with a thick pillow between my legs, on top of a folded duvet and not crossing my legs when sitting have all helped lessen the pain.

If it gets bad try and see a physio for advice, exercises and possibly a support band, although I didn't really get on with wearing mine.

mary99220 · 07/01/2019 22:32

@BeverlyZimek congratulations! I hope you get well soon!I love the names!!
@Lookingforadvice123 I suffer with PGP from around 25 weeks and it's just so painful at times!I have to drive to work 30 miles one way and it makes it all worse Confused I think it does get better afterwards but you have to be careful not to strain yourself. I got pregnancy belt and it helped a bit but I have also been referred for physio next week. I've been told by my midwife that if it gets worse than epidural might be necessary and no water birthConfused

Babynum2 · 08/01/2019 02:49

@beverlyzimek congratulations on your 2 girls! Its all systems go now i think we will have atleast 1 a week x

Since2016 · 08/01/2019 06:53

Congratulations @beverleyzimek and @babynum2 on your babies! Hope you are reunited soon - NICU is v tough but they’re in the best place. Loving the names!

Lookingforadvice123 · 08/01/2019 07:09

Thank you Rowse and mary99220. You've both had it for a while, I feel a bit guilty complaining as mine has only gotten painful since the weekend and it's manageable.

Yep got my nice huge pregnancy pillow and I use another thick pillow as well, which definitely helps at night. I'm going to tell my midwife at my 34 week appointment this week, but I'm not expecting to see a physio before the baby is born tbh. A friend has had it since the second trimester and she's sent me some exercises her physio gave her so I'm doing those.

Rowse good to hear it's come and gone for you rather than being constant! It does seem a bit random that it's come on all of a sudden, the pain I've had for a few weeks in my left groin was mild, I only really noticed it in bed and assumed it was a pulled muscle. But since this weekend just gone it's really flared up in different areas. Wonder why...

AutumnLee12 · 08/01/2019 07:35

@Alicejj8x sorry to hear about your loss x

@BeverlyZimek congratulations that was quick, hope you and the girls are doing well!

@AvoidingMarking I'm not a teacher but I can empathise as I also have a job that makes choosing boys names very difficult! I seem to write off every name as it's "a horrible boy" 😂

Wames90 · 08/01/2019 10:06

@BeverlyZimek congratulations! I bet you’re so pleased that they are here safely! I hope your not in hospital for too long x

AliceRR · 08/01/2019 10:23

@Lookingforadvice123 I’ve had the PGP since about four months and it’s almost become normal to me now. as well as what others have said I find it really helps to just not be on my feet too much / walking / doing housework. Also turning over in bed with knees together and same for getting out of the car (I find that difficult!) and sitting down to put shoes and socks and trousers on...

MrsY87 · 08/01/2019 10:47

Congratulations @BeverlyZimek hope they don't have to be in NICU for too long and that you have a quick recovery too. Sounds very scary but glad to hear the girls are here safely and you are ok too.

Since2016 · 08/01/2019 11:24

Officially on maternity leave! I dropped DD at nursery this am and went for a ‘lie down’ - 2.5 hours later... oops! I may have overdone it yesterday. Defintely taking full advantage of my rest time this time!!

Yakadee · 08/01/2019 12:19

My last day in is next weds - it's so close it's almost painful!! I'm so over work now!!

3 weeks today until my section though! 🎉🎉🎉

Since2016 · 08/01/2019 12:28

4 weeks on thurs for me. Starting to get nervous now. Really hoping it’s not as painful as last time!

2019Mama · 08/01/2019 12:40

TMI but Just been to the bathroom and my pantyliner was covered in bloody discharge.. any ideas what it could mean?

I’ve rang up triage and they want me to go in. Just waiting on DH to rush back from work

Surprisedmom · 08/01/2019 12:52

@AvoidingMarking I know what you mean. I have chosen a name which no kid I’ve ever taught has had (though it’s a name everyone will have heard of it’s just not popular).

bubblybrit · 08/01/2019 12:56

I’m no expert but could this be your mucus plug @2019Mama?

Yakadee · 08/01/2019 13:39

I was thinking that too @bubblybrit. You've defo done the right thing by calling in, hope everything is OK x
