I had a skip hop changing bag last time and have ordered another, I love the design. Mothercare have them on half price at 32.50 too at the moment for the design I went for

hayley013 · 05/01/2019 21:58

@LookingAtTheStars89 he is sooo cute, hope you're all well xx

LookingAtTheStars89 · 05/01/2019 21:58

Thanks 😊 Pack your bags though ladies! It can happen very quickly! 50 odd minutes from start to end - Bleed >999>Drive to hospital-->Baby out! I can barely believe how quick it was.

Yakadee · 05/01/2019 22:01

@LookingAtTheStars89 - adorable! 😍

Hope you're both home and well asap xxx

AvoidingMarking · 05/01/2019 22:07

@LookingAtTheStars89 hope you get to go home soon.
I have a skip hop bag from last time that I need to wash but I stopped using it quite quickly as it was an over shoulder one and I used a sling a lot more than the pram.

powkin · 05/01/2019 22:16

@LookingAtTheStars89 aw so sorry you’ve been so unwell as well, what a rotten start, no wonder you’ve been emotional! They are an absolutely beauty, and I also like that they are slyly giving everyone the finger! 😂

Fingers crossed you can both be home soon and start enjoying time together x

powkin · 05/01/2019 22:32

@Lookingforadvice123 ooh that’s lovely!

sickmumma · 05/01/2019 22:40

@LookingAtTheStars89 congratulations! He is adorable! What is his name if you don't mind sharing? It must be horrible to leave him but hopefully it won't be long and he will be home with you! Sorry to hear you've had such a horrible start to it all and I hope you are feeling better soon ❤️

Notquiteagandt · 05/01/2019 23:02

@LookingAtTheStars89 oh look at you big strong boy. He looks like hes grown from your last photo 😍

Look after yourself. Flu is nasty best times let alone post partum. Are they letting you see him and visit? You are both in best place getting better and strong enough to start your adventues together xx

Notquiteagandt · 05/01/2019 23:07

I have just done a late night supermarket dash. Got the sudden urge and panic I needed waterproof sheets for my bed and lots of pads. Still not 100% packed my bag.

I must of been wincing and waddling as 3 differant people said to me variations of " oh you poor thing I dont envy you. Hard at the end isnt it" and asked if I was ok.

And been cleaning and sorting like a crazy lady ever since I got back.

Please tell me I am not the only one and it is not a preminition of something about to happen.

Anixious nesting is the worse.

powkin · 05/01/2019 23:19

@Notquiteagandt - definitely some panic buying going on here too. I'm only 33 weeks so guess this will ramp up... I really want to get my bags all sorted so I can relax and be ready for the baby to come out rather than cutting off all that oxytocin by panicking that we are not ready.

Annoyingly, I ordered a big bundle of newborn sized babygrows on ebay and I think they've got lost in the post, so we only have 0-3 and no newborn bits at all. Argh!

Notquiteagandt · 05/01/2019 23:24

@powkin thankfully I have everything for baby it is just bits and bobs for me. Along with obsessively sorting and cleaning. This is the one pregnancy symptom that sticks around 😂 33wks here also.

Notquiteagandt · 05/01/2019 23:25

*I hope that this is

detachablehoof · 05/01/2019 23:28

My pram should have arrived this week and hasn't 😱 seriously hoping nothing has happened to it. Will have to call them on Monday. I still have so much shopping to do too. Wish everything was ready but I'm pretty sure I'll go overdue (babies in my family always do!) so trying not to worry.

Definitely some hormonal changes going on though - suddenly got horrendous spots on my face after having had pretty good skin for the last few months! And also getting lots of random aches and pains. Literally cannot get comfortable in bed any more unless I'm on my back and don't dare do that! Beginning to wonder how much larger I really can get - already really struggling to get out of bed (a crane might be needed if I get any bigger) and to reach my feet to put on tights / shoes. And very short of clothes that fit! So hopefully the end is near - although I'm so nervous about it that I don't like thinking how soon it actually is 🙈 I just want to hibernate for a bit I think

Celebelly · 05/01/2019 23:44

I ate the jelly babies that were meant for my hospital bag 😭😭😭

lanalawr · 06/01/2019 01:33

@Since2016 I'm the complete opposite. I loved all my compartments! Dh chose a baba bing messenger bag when we had dd because he'd carry it too (I was never planning on buying a pink flowery one and he knew I wouldn't but he still insisted on choosing the bag). All the little pockets inside the bag and a flap with zip access too were fab imo. What wasn't was the strap that was too wide for my shoulder and a nightmare for me to use (but fine for him). I've been using a walking/cycling rucksack with pockets for a while now. I did ask for and get this bag for Christmas though and have started using it with dd. It's lovely and big with lots of pockets and compartments for nappies/wipes/toddler stickers and crayons. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07G1S17KG/ref=mpssa113aa_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1546738264&sr=8-3&keywords=changing+backpack+bag&dpPl=1&dpID=61WScWWzZwL&ref=plSrch

lanalawr · 06/01/2019 01:42

Snap @powkin. Sorry I wrote the post on the last thread then saw it was closed so posted here before reading.

@AliceRR I bought something similar second hand after dd was born. I found it great for some things but chunky to fit in a rucksack and not roomy enough to carry everything I usually needed. Great for car journeys/little trips though.

@LookingAtTheStars89 I'm so sorry to hear about your flu. I hope you fight it off quickly. I'm sorry you're struggling with being apart from your baby too - I know I would. Is there any news on when he may be able to come home?

hayley013 · 06/01/2019 02:49

Urgh, first awful nightmare about going into labour, woke so confused with the worst heartburn to date, can't get back to sleep. Forgot how disruptive these final weeks can be...

Wames90 · 06/01/2019 04:06

@notquiteagandt I had the same urge a couple of weeks ago and suddenly woke up in the middle of the night adamant that my waters were going to break in my sleep so needed a waterproof sheet ASAP, I have since purchased this and put it on the bed and he’s still in there and I’m now 36+3. It wasn’t a premonition for me but you never know, I definitely think it’s best to be extra prepared just to be on the safe side!

@hayley013 I hope you manage to get some rest in these final weeks before baby arrives. It’s horrible being wide awake in the middle of the night in a panic!

@Lookingatthestars89 I hope you’re both better soon and it’s not long before you can take your beautiful boy home.

Celebelly · 06/01/2019 04:25

Ugh. Heartburn.

1stTimeTina · 06/01/2019 06:09

@Celebelly LOL at the jelly babies, I imagine I will be doing the exact same thing as soon as I sort my hosp bag too! Haha

maxiflump1 · 06/01/2019 08:00

Those of you that are injecting with blood thinners have you noticed any lumps under the skin at injection sites? I was told to inject into my belly which I have been doing but I now have a marble size hard lump where I injected the other night and it's really sore.
