@bubblybrit so stressful!!! I’m 35+4 and section in 3 weeks!!!! I’m hoping he will capitulate pre / during op?

powkin · 15/01/2019 18:05

No signs of active labour, they think Pip has engaged now and it “might be a sign she’s coming sooner rather than later”. They are booking some IV iron too as my levels haven’t improved since my last bloods (103). The internal examination was realllllly painful.

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 18:13

@Since2016. Oh how exciting!?! Can’t believe that we will be meeting our babies soon. I’m just hoping that I don’t go overdue 😬. Getting a little frustrated with the insomnia and being uncomfortable 99% of the time!

Yakadee · 15/01/2019 18:27

My section is 2 weeks today - 🎉🎉🎉

@bubblybrit - I'm defo ready to get this baby here!! X

AmberRose17 · 15/01/2019 18:34

Hi everyone. Dipping in again after a while. I’m 37 weeks today, hooray!! And finishing work tomorrow. Absolutely exhausted this time around. I look back at myself in my first pregnancy and can’t believe how much energy I had compared to now, working full time, commuting, experiencing the joys of PGP and looking after a 3yo.

I had a previous CS due to my boy being breech and thought I was sure I wanted a repeat elective section. So I’ve booked in for another on the 31st, which is also going to involve a cystectomy as I have a simple cyst measuring 8cm on my right ovary. But now having MAJOR wobbles and doubts and considering the VBAC option. It’s such a dilemma especially as I’ve not experienced labour at all so don’t know how I’d cope. I’ve asked for another meeting with the consultant tomorrow to discuss options. Usually I’m a decisive person so this is very weird!

Anyway hope everyone’s doing well and looking forward to seeing the babies! I’ll keep you posted as to which way I go!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 18:38

@Yakadee. I feel that I may be one of the last to meet my baby - not due until 16th Feb! Yikes....so excited to hear/see all the new arrivals though x

Yakadee · 15/01/2019 18:41

@bubblybrit - aww it'll be your time soon enough. I have to say this pregnancy seems to have flown by (until now). Will be very glad when I finish work tomorrow x

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 18:57

@Yakadee. I’ve loved my time off work so far. Have a pretty stressful role so glad I finished up early so that I could concentrate on baby. Hopefully tomorrow is a quick day for you! Sure she will appear when ready. The waiting is just making me a little nervous though as it’s my first and not quite sure what to expect lol 😀 x

babyp160 · 15/01/2019 19:13

@bubblybrit 21st Feb here! I'm going to be so jealous of the incoming baby pics while beach whaled to the sofa 😂

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 19:42

@babyp160. You and I are in a similar position then! So ready to meet my baby but I know that she will appear when ready. I’ll just enjoy everyone else’s pictures and updates in the meantime with a little bit of envy. We can keep each other going since we will likely be the last 😀 xx

Leonora94 · 15/01/2019 20:01

@bubblybrit @babyp160 I’m the 19th I’m so ready to be done with pregnancy now 😆

Yakadee · 15/01/2019 20:01

@bubblybrit - they surprised me at work today actually, balloon, banners and some cupcakes. Also, got a lovely card and £80 amazon vouchers!! Really nice of them, I'm not really into 'fuss' but really nice that they made all that effort. I'm even being taken out for lunch with my work bff lol.

I already have a 2yo so this pregnancy has been different having him to look after too but honestly think it's made it go a lot quicker! I'm sure you'll love being mum, I do! I'm genuinely wondering how it's possible to love another little person aa much but everyone assures me you can! Haha x

hayley013 · 15/01/2019 20:10

My LO is getting in with us 5am-ish too, usually wakes me as I end up boiling hot stuck between them. @costacoffeecup I want her to stop too, she doesn't normally come in but seems to be attached to me at the minute, she's 4.

I'm exhausted but nesting is real! I'm tired today but cleared out all old clothes, done loads in the house and organised baby stuff to be washed, nursery almost finished just waiting for curtains to come.

@Celebelly we have no idea of a name yet. Have a middle name but that's all.

@powkin hope all is ok, I've had my first cramps today but I know I've overdone it a bit.

@bubblybrit I'm 15th Feb, really dont wanna go over but I've a feeling it's gonna come round really quick x

Lookingforadvice123 · 15/01/2019 20:22

I can't believe how soon some of you are due/having your sections! 2 weeks?! That's terrifying!

I'm not due until the 20th either, so
5 weeks tomorrow. I've told myself that this baby will be approx on time so if it's late it'll be annoying! And if it's early it'll be a shock haha.

I need to pack my hospital bag. I did it at this stage with DS so no excuses. Other than I don't have half the stuff I need!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 20:31

Ah we have a little group forming for mid to late Feb @Leonora94! Feel so much better that I’m not out there on my own x

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 20:34

How lovely @Yakadee. My work was great as well. Was very touched! I’m really looking forward to the experience but slightly terrified at the same time 😬! Is your DS looking forward to being a big brother? X

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 20:36

@hayley013. My family keep telling me that they think baby will come early. No idea what they are basing that on though! Lol 😀

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 20:38

I feel that I’m working to a countdown as well @Lookingforadvice123. If she is overdue then I’ll be very disappointed. The countdown is the only thing keeping me going through the aches, pains and insomnia!

Yakadee · 15/01/2019 20:56

@bubblybrit - to be honest, I don't think he gets it! We've talked about it and he likes babies but do wonder what he'll think when I bring her home!

I'm not going to lie, it is scary but it's the best thing I've ever done. It's scary knowing I'll have 2 but I can't wait! X

hayley013 · 15/01/2019 21:00

@bubblybrit literally everyone that I see says they think I'll be early, but I carried low with dd too so who knows. She arrived on her due date so it could go either way

hayley013 · 15/01/2019 21:01

@Lookingforadvice123 I need to pack bag too but I've got it out and have put a few bits in, it's a start

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 21:33

@Yakadee. I’m sure he will adapt soon enough. Yes I’m just trying to stay positive and think that all the labour pains will be worth it once I’m holding her. My friend has just had her second and loves it x

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 21:34

@hayley013. I don’t even think I’m carrying low. What will be will be I guess. I’m just a bit impatient lol x

chocpop · 15/01/2019 21:50

Not sure if I'm in labour or not (my due date was the 2nd Feb). Had what I can only assume after some googling was the loss of the mucus plug earlier, but no "show" as of yet. Nothing for a few hours after that happened but now I'm having quite sore period-like cramping. Again, because I've had cramping on/off since 36 weeks, I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid or not. But the pain is bearable (I used to have quite bad period cramps so it just feels like they used to tbh)>
Just sitting at home and waiting for them to get to the point where they're a lot more painful rather than uncomfortable, and closer together, then I'll ring the hospital and see what to do next. No waters breaking or anything as of yet. TMI but I've also been going to the toilet a lot the last two days to poop and I've had a bit of an upset tummy so I'm thinking that maybe is a sign, too?

I guess time will tell, hopefully this is it afterall!

sickmumma · 15/01/2019 21:54

I think I may be the last one! Due 28th Feb so just made it to the group! Hoping she will come at 38 weeks like her siblings though!! 🤞🏻

Just went back to work today after finishing before Christmas - much harder than I thought!! All the things I thought I could do such as bending down I found a lot more difficult! Only a week to go though so not too bad!!

In regards to stitches and the first number 2 this is far TMI but I had stitches with all of my previous babies and I found holding a sponge over my stitches whilst going really helped me mentally as I was worried about straining and bursting them!

I haven't really thought about labour this time round, been trying to put it to the back of my mind but know I can do it!

This baby still feels really high up! She is really hurting when she moves also!

Hope everything is okay with the babies being checked out! I stupidly bumped my bump changing the top bunk bed a few weeks back (fell really hard onto the rail as I was leaning over changing the sheet and lost my footing) luckily baby was moving fine all I felt okay so didn't go in but it's been a couple of weeks now and the bruise has
Only just gone and it was sore to touch!

I am with you ladies on the sleepless nights! Mine all sleep through but my son is diabetic and just been moved onto an insulin pump a week today! I have been up every 2 hours testing him through the night until we get the levels right and although fine at first by day 3
I was so ratty! I even napped which i never do! What annoyed me more is the fact it took 5 minutes to wake and test him but another hour to fall back asleep again!!! 😩 if anyone told me it was good practise for the newborn I was ready to bash them on
The head 😂 very different when your
Heavily pregnant, uncomfortable and already tired plus growing a tiny human! luckily all seems to be a bit more stable so only one check for me tonight as DH will stay up and do the late one!
