@Celebelly only 34+4... do you think I should call the hospital? This isn’t like anything I’ve had all pregnancy. My OH has people round for his work so I’m not sure what to do!

Celebelly · 15/01/2019 15:00

I'd call given you're still a bit early. Nothing to lose by ringing!

detachablehoof · 15/01/2019 15:05

@celebelly yes!! we don't have names sorted and I'm 37+1! Kind of wish we knew gender then at least there would only be one to pick!

Yakadee · 15/01/2019 15:08

@powkin - Yeah, doesn't hurt to call xx

Celebelly · 15/01/2019 15:09

@detachablehoof We know we're having a girl and still can't decide! We had settled on one but I went off it Blush

detachablehoof · 15/01/2019 15:14

@celebelly exactly the same here. Husband has decided that my favourite names are also his favourites... but now I've got cold feet about both of them!

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 15/01/2019 15:18

We've been pretty good one names. With DD we had both first a second sorted by 30 weeks.

This time we've had the first name sorted for ages and recently get the middle name sorted too.

I love knowing what it is as it feels like she's already part of our family.

AvoidingMarking · 15/01/2019 15:21

Had a fall at work today as someone left a plastic wallet on the floor and I didn't see it. Practically did the splits and landed hard. At the triage unit but all looks fine thank goodness.

Those of you with toddlers walking in early, We had the same but invested in a gro clock a few weeks ago and it's been brilliant. I think as the mornings were so dark she didn't know when it was time to get up so she knows now she can come in to us when the sun comes up!

powkin · 15/01/2019 15:35

They told me to come in, the pain has eased off now but she said any unexplained is worth getting looked at. It has definitely freaked me out so will be pleased for them to give me the once over as it’s still 2 weeks until my next scan.

Since2016 · 15/01/2019 15:36

@lanalawr thanks - DH says I’m being silly but it was a shock!

@powkin I’d call. My labour with DD started with severe low back pain. You will know what a contraction is though once they start.

@celebelly yep us! We’ve finally agreed a second name. I hate the first name we’d tentatively agreed on (I was sick of arguing) and I’m stuck on a name I know he doesn’t love. We’re just not talking about it 😳

I’ve obviously gone into nesting overdrive - starting painting walls today 😂

DD is getting in with us and going back to sleep - so she’s not confused as such I don’t think I think she just wants some additional reassurance. She’s a sweet kid (mostly) and will adore the baby but it’s a big change and I think at 3+ they do understand. 3 in two weeks!

Notquiteagandt · 15/01/2019 15:36

So I had my last midwife appointment today. Suddenly feels so soon and imminant people saying see you and baby soon. Eeeeekkkk. Scary scary!!

Notquiteagandt · 15/01/2019 15:38

@AvoidingMarking what a relief all is well. But bet it gave you such a fright. I managed to fall down stairs the other week. Seemed so much more sore and bruised the next day then id exspect. Epsom salt baths where a life saver! So Id reccomend them.

Celebelly · 15/01/2019 15:39

Glad all is OK @AvoidingMarking Must have been a fright, though! I'm really paranoid about falling down our stairs so I go down like a little old lady!

Celebelly · 15/01/2019 15:40

@powkin Hope all is well and it's just your body testing things out!

AvoidingMarking · 15/01/2019 15:41

@powkin hope you're ok and are on your way in. I'm waiting for a dr as have a sharp pain at the top of my bump

Babynum2 · 15/01/2019 15:45

@powkin thats how my labour with DD started!
@isitfridayyet1 welcome! My due date was 12th feb also but little man is now 1 week 1 day oldWink

I am home now ladies and i have terrible terrible toilet issues im bent over in pain and it’s definitely not all normal that end of things not to mention my poor bum cheeks are bruised and saw as im on day 8 of thinning injectios, ouch!

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 15/01/2019 15:50

@Babynum2 so glad you're home.

This time around I'm not scared of the birth at all but I'm petrified of going to the loo after! I thought I was going to die from being ripped open last time!

Babynum2 · 15/01/2019 15:57

@thesnobbymiddleclassone
I was the same all I could think about was the aftermath as i split with DD and then had problems with my stitches and going to the toilet which all lasted a good 3weeks.

Since2016 · 15/01/2019 16:07

@avoidingmarking glad all ok!

@babynum2 the toilet is the worst. I am dreading the post section loo trip and the wind - omg that I honestly think was worse than the pain!

powkin · 15/01/2019 16:49

Hooked up to the monitor. Baby’s heart rate seems a bit slow to me, trying not to worry, maybe she’s just having a sleep.

AliceRR · 15/01/2019 17:03

@powkin Hope everything is ok xx

Yakadee · 15/01/2019 17:11

@AvoidingMarking - hope you're OK.
We bought one of those recently but decided my son prob won't get it just yet. I'm hoping his night waking is just a growth spurt or something and he'll come out of it.

@powkin - hope you're OK. At least you're getting checked out, I'm sure once you've got all your results it'll put your mind at ease.

Xx

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 17:24

@celebelly. I’m in a similar position to @Since2016! DH is very keen on a particular name. We tentatively agreed but I’m starting to have second thoughts...feel like it’s a huge responsibility and just can’t decide so we have kinda brushed it under the carpet for now! I’m 35+3 so really wanted to have chosen a name by now!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 17:27

Hope you are ok @AvoidingMarking. I slipped down the stairs the other month but it was my back that took the brunt. Baby was absolutely fine - they are pretty resilient 😀!!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2019 17:28

@powkin. Hope baby is ok. Sounds stressful but you are definitely in the right place to receive the best care x
