Thanks for the quick response ladies ❤️
I’ve picked up a variety of stuff from Tesco and hoping something works.

Btw lightly salted popcorn was such a treat. I munched on a bag for half an hour during which I could completely forget about the nausea. Half an hour of blissss

Kcjoe · 04/01/2019 19:06

Thank you everyone. I shall keep you all updated 😁

@OctoberGirl91 I had 3 bladder infections between July and October. They found ecoli in my urine. Apparently it's quite common and known as 'honeymoon infection', caused by too much sex! the most common cause for it is fingers and Willy's touching your bum and then your lady bits 😁 😂 the nurse told me that without laughing! X

OctoberGirl91 · 04/01/2019 19:17

Thanks everyone Xx

RaindropsRoses · 04/01/2019 19:31

Had early scan today. Not much to be seen yet as it was just a blob with a heartbeat lol. Measured bang on exactly 6+5 which it should be so EDD 25/8 still at the mo. So relieved. Also super relieved its not twins haha, was panicking because sickness has been worse this time round.

emma1224 · 04/01/2019 19:55

I love this thread and the support that's on here is amazing and reassuring and makes me feel less alone

Wanted to share my reveal to our parents and my husbands brothers on Christmas Day! We are not announcing to any other people until my 12 week scan but I had to tell them as I've been in sicky hiding for weeks lol also had an early scan on Christmas Eve so I had my little seed to show them ❤️

Put these in our Christmas crackers xx

RaindropsRoses · 04/01/2019 20:08

Ahh what a fab idea in a cracker! So cute

ScotsBaby2 · 04/01/2019 20:08

@emma1224 what a sweet reveal!

How is everyone doing tonight? What was for dinner? We had baked potatoes with various fillings.

Legomummy91 · 04/01/2019 20:18

@emma1224 that’s so lovely! What a sweet idea
@cobblestones I’ve basically been grazing on salted popcorn for the last few days, it seems to be the only thing that doesn’t leave a weird taste in my mouth!

I’m starting to get abit anxious about telling my sister, she had a mc in October last year and she tends be quite sensitive about things. It’s getting quite close to the 12 week mark now and I know I’m going to have to tell her soon, any advice on how to do it gently would be much appreciated

emma1224 · 04/01/2019 20:20

Thanks !
It's sad but I'm so excited to announce to the world now I'm so impatient lol

@ScotsBaby2 jacket potato and chicken chargrill hoping this stays put lol!

How's everyone feeling!?

emma1224 · 04/01/2019 20:22

@Legomummy91 congrats firstly
I think just telling her would be fine when it's just you two! Xx

ScotsBaby2 · 04/01/2019 20:28

@Legomummy91 I would do it via text and mention that you wanted to give her space to process this not face to face in case it was too difficult for her. Good luck. I'm sure she will be over the moon for you but she maybe also be sad. Both emotions are ok.

OP posts:
RaindropsRoses · 04/01/2019 20:31

I agree with Scotsbaby2 and would also do it by txt. I have a friend who very recently had a mc and another who has been ttc 18m now so plan to do it that way rather than face to face to allow them to process it

Notanotherpawpatrol · 04/01/2019 20:32

Emma, we told our children on Christmas day! I've been realy sick and tired and my 8 year old was worried there was something very wrong. I heard her discussing it with her sister, who has autism 🤦‍♀️ cue mild histeria from her too. They were convinced I was dying, which in turn was worrying my son 😂 rumors get around quickly in this house 😂 it's only my youngest that wasn't at all fussed, and that's because she's only 20 months old 😂
We decided reassuring them wasn't working and it was time to come clean. My eldest and 4yo son were really excited, but my 6 year old (who has autism) wasn't at all impressed and said "but I like they way we are now. I don't want another sibling. You'll have to send it back" 😂 she's slowly coming round to the idea!
Hopefully she'll be excited by the summer!

Cobblestones · 04/01/2019 20:33

@legomummy I agree with scotsbaby. Via text would be best as she wouldn’t have to worry about hiding any emotions in front of you. This is how a friend revealed to me when I had recently gone through a mc and I appreciated it. And when you see her next you could try and not talk too much about the pregnancy in front of her. By the second/third time you meet she will have processed it and might start showing you herself that she’s fine with it and happy for you.

emma1224 · 04/01/2019 20:49

@Notanotherpawpatrol aww bless them being so worried I'm glad they know now and I reckon when you start to show she will defo be more excited! got another little baby around will be lovely just takes getting used to
How are you feeling now? X

Blueberry2018 · 04/01/2019 20:52

Hey guys. I had pasta bake with courgettes, mushrooms, onions and peppers tonight. Have tried to get more fruit and veg in as just haven't fancied it lately.

Hope everyone's nausea is easing a little, mine came back with a vengeance today!

I agree- telling those who have mc by text gives time to process. When i was going through my mc in nov i found out about 2 others being pregnant at work face to face and it hurt bad, not their fault but i found it incredibly hard processing my emotions.

Notanotherpawpatrol · 04/01/2019 20:52

I'm already showing 🙈 I look like I'm 4 months pregnant 😱 the downsides of Baby 5 😂 still really tired, sleeping lots during the day and sickness comes and goes.
I'm 10 weeks now so hoping it subsides really soon.

Moncwf · 04/01/2019 21:17

My husband made spaghetti Bolognese but I couldn't face it. I'm commencing my pregnancy diet of waffles with added salt. So healthy.

Nursiemum27 · 04/01/2019 21:29

Managed chicken stir fry with lots of veg here today!!! Feeling very proud and it makes a change from the Philadelphia on toast that I’ve been living off 😂

Bakingabean · 04/01/2019 22:11

@Nursiemum27 now I really want Philadelphia! I bought myself some "real" bagels (oh is coeliac so I usually eat gluten free (rubbish) ones) in my attempt to find something I wanted to eat. Now I'm wishing I'd bought Philadelphia to go with them!

@notanotherpawpatrol 10+ 2 today and I think the nausea is starting to lessen. The bouts don't seem to last as long or feel as crippling as they did a few weeks ago. 99% of me is relieved but the niggling 1% is wondering if it's a bad sign.

ScotsBaby2 · 04/01/2019 22:17

@Bakingabean that's around the time it should be starting to tail off.

OP posts:
Legomummy91 · 04/01/2019 22:27

Thanks for your advice everyone, text definitely seems the best way of doing it. I know she’ll probably be upset but I want to do it as kindly as possible. It’s a sticky situation as I work with my other sister and she guessed very early on when everything was making me gag, but she’s under strict instructions to act suprised when we tell everyone. It’s a bit of a mess really!

I spoke too soon about the nausea tailing off, it’s back too. Had to take a nap to get through it when I should have been working and then woke up starving and ate almost an entire tub of hummus Blush

Notanotherpawpatrol · 04/01/2019 22:29

Bakingbean every day I don't feel sick or tired I start panicking 🙈 I've not been able to book in with a midwife or have a scan yet and I'm getting very anxious about it all. Seeing the midwife on Monday though so hopefully I will get a scan booked and start to feel like this whole thing is real!

avacadooo · 04/01/2019 22:33

I'm currently trying to munch through a chip roll from the chippy 😂
I can't remember the last time I had a vegetable and I usually eat tons of them.

QueenofFox · 04/01/2019 23:10

I think my boss is currently going through an Missed miscarriage just from what I've overheard. I'm terrified of having the conversation with her because I only started 8 weeks ago and it will be hard news I imagine to hear. Need to have a lot of extra appts over the coming weeks for genetic tests so would probably tell her to explain that. Tricky! Text us definitely the best way but I can't do that here.
