Part 3 already!

A list of those already on the bus. Welcome to newbies. It's the countdown to 12 week scans. I think I have nearly a month to wait though :-(

You okay @Octobergirl91 how are you feeling now xx

mightypinkdms · 15/01/2019 15:32

Thanks @hortonlovesahoo sounds like you’ve had a positive day 🙂 how far along are you?

I guess I’m just worried they’ll tell me to get on with it, and I really don’t think I can right now...

avacadooo · 15/01/2019 15:33

@mightypinkdms screw the pharmacist sounds like he was trying to guilt you, the doctor wouldn't give you something if it wasn't safe and you didn't need it. There's risks with everything but it's better to be medicated and eating and drinking than non medicated dehydrated and starving.
Don't feel bad about it!
Also don't go back to work if you aren't ready, you'll stress yourself out and make yourself sicker, that's what I did and I'm not allowed back until my hg is under control.
Go and chill in bed with some Netflix and relax 💕

Hortonlovesahoo · 15/01/2019 15:35

@mightypinkdms: I'm 11+2. If any doctor says that, I'd be asking for another doctor. Every medical professional I've spoken to has been so supportive and compassionate about it.

mightypinkdms · 15/01/2019 15:46

Thanks @avacadooo and @hortonlovesahoo - I guess I’m just super anxious at the moment. My work have been nothing but supportive yet I feel stupidly guilty for not being there! In bed as it is, but just can’t stop worrying xx

abw94 · 15/01/2019 15:47

So sorry to hear about the miscarriages I hope you have a lovely of love and support around you.

I had my 12 week appointment come through for the 30th jan so will be 11+4 then, fingers crossed everything is OK.

@ScotsBaby2 I would love to join the group but will wait until I'm 12 weeks if that's ok? X

UnicornDust17 · 15/01/2019 15:52

@mightypinkdms I'm sorry you're feeling like a this, please be kind to yourself. I had a good quick Google and this came up, I haven't checked out the page much itself (as in how credible a source it is), but it is looks interesting might be worth a read.
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/get-help/treatments/

It also seems to have an information line. I have hope you start to feel a bit better soon.

UnicornDust17 · 15/01/2019 15:59

Please excuse my phones terrible auto predict text... ConfusedGrin hopefully you can make sense of it..!!!

mightypinkdms · 15/01/2019 16:22

Thanks @unicorndust17 will have a read x

Chocolate89 · 15/01/2019 16:29

@mightypinkdms I was started on prochlorperazine by my gp (quiet elderly) and was taken off it by my obstetrician who said the same as your pharmacist. He swapped me over to cariban though and that has helped hugely! It takes about 2 days to work and you need to take it reg but it's saved me. Maybe ask if you go back on friday if you are still worried. And just explain very clearly that you cant go back to work, that your day to day life is affected by this! Hope you feel better soon. Xxx

CalmerComber · 15/01/2019 16:30

Afternoon all! Went for my reassurance scan this morning after being admitted last week with hyperemesis and there are TWO BABIES. 2. Twice as many as expected. Absolutely bricking it.

So I’m 11 weeks with Aug 5 due date but I’ll deliver in July. I’ve poked my nose in the July thread but they all seem so far along so I think I might straddle both for a while if that’s ok.

TWINS!

clairelee17 · 15/01/2019 16:40

@CalmerComber that's amazing news! Probably quite a daunting thought right now, but fantastic!

QueenofFox · 15/01/2019 16:41

@CalmerComber wow!! Congratulations!! It must be a shock, but it will also be amazing. Do you have older kids?

@Hortonlovesahoo glad the session went well! And hope all goes well for the nips. How nice that they scanned you. I was secretly hoping for that yesterday but didn't happen!

CalmerComber · 15/01/2019 16:47

Yes I’ve got DD 21 months. So I’m looking at a 2y3m gap. Toddler and a newborn was daunting enough but toddler and two newborns is just something else.

CalmerComber · 15/01/2019 16:47

Also breastfeeding is really important to me and I remember how all-consuming I found it with just one baby!

MrsRyan15 · 15/01/2019 16:57

@CalmerComber TWINS!!! How exciting. I am so jealous, I was secretly hoping I would have twins (I'm not there's def only one in there).

That said I am still over the moon that I have one after so long trying.

Stay here with us in Aug, we're a great bunch and selfishly I want updates on your progress with two! X

mightypinkdms · 15/01/2019 17:05

@chocolate89 I will try and ask for a different one on Friday. While this one has given me a little bit of respite, it’s not helping fully. Thanks for advice xx

Ninunina · 15/01/2019 17:15

OMG @CalmerComber ! TWINS! Amazing! I always secretly hoped they would find twins with DD1 & DD2. Not this time though, I'd go bankrupt with 4!

EverythingNow · 15/01/2019 17:25

Wow @calmercomber! I'm another secret twin hoper here! But just the one. Congrats

Chocolate89 · 15/01/2019 17:44

@calmercomber ahhh how exciting!!!! Twins are my dream 😂 don't try to think too much about how to manage, as a second time mum you'll surprise yourself! Congratulations, this must be like finding out your pregnant all over again!

UnicornDust17 · 15/01/2019 18:04

Oh wow @CalmerComber double congrats! That's amazing news.... Are these this groups first twins? Smile

Moncwf · 15/01/2019 18:05

@calmercomber wow congratulations! That must have been quite the surprise. Did you have HG with your DD? Can they say what type of twins they are?
I was watching a TV program about twins the other day and my DH told me not to even think about it (as if that's how it works!)

Blueberry2018 · 15/01/2019 18:07

@CalmerComber how exciting! You'll be absolutely fine and your dd will love having two new siblings 😊 xx

pixietheginger · 15/01/2019 18:15

@CalmerComber wow congratulations! That must have been a big surprise! Do you know if they are identical? I was hoping for twins (IVF) but just one. Hope all goes well and keep us posted x

OctoberGirl91 · 15/01/2019 18:15

Aww congratulations @CalmerComber twins!

My dad is a twin so everyone always joked I would get twins! I'm hoping I've got one this time as it's DC3 and not sure I could throw myself into 4!

You'll be amazing, your DD will love it xx
