A list of those already on the bus. Welcome to newbies. It's the countdown to 12 week scans. I think I have nearly a month to wait though :-(

Hi all. Welcome newbies! To all worrying about symptoms, it's normal for them to come and go. The chances of miscarriage past 6 weeks are generally very low.

Went to the doctor this morning, got omeprezole. I didn't push for anything else because I think my nausea is acid reflux related, and I'm nauseous and retching rather than actually vomitting, so I don't think those meds will help. Really hope it works because even thinking about most foods makes me gag. I'm 8+1 by LMP although probably a few days behind that in reality. I know it lasted until 16 weeks last time, but peaked around 9/10 weeks. I have annual leave (booked pre pregnancy) all next week so that's a relief.

DS had a temperature this morning but perked up loads with Calpol. I wish there was an adult/pregnancy Calpol that would have that affect on me! And for some reason the streets of our village are littered with dog poo. I accidentally got some on the buggy wheels. Cleaning dog poo is awful at the best of times but with pregnancy nausea it was terrible. I am concocting some elaborate revenge fantasies now for people who don't clean up after their dogs. No danger of finding the energy to carry them out though.

@QueenofFox: we have the counselling session tomorrow. My sister had the test and she's 7 months now and said, she has the results within a week.

We have a history in the family of chromosome abnormalities so want to be sure and that's why we want NIPT and not just the neck measuring

QueenofFox · 14/01/2019 13:49

@Hortonlovesahoo hope it goes well and you find it useful. I found the sessions very informative and non biased (one of my daughters has a chromosomal abnormality/resulting disability), just had the test and results next Tuesday. Eek!!

Hortonlovesahoo · 14/01/2019 13:52

@queenoffox: that's a good turnaround! I'm glad that you don't have a long wait. I found just being able to talk openly and honestly about the options and what the test involves/doesn't involve etc.

avacadooo · 14/01/2019 14:05

Today I honestly feel like I'm dying and I've got to get to the dr for my flu jag. I'm going on my pjs because I don't have the willpower to even change.😔
This constant sickness/nausea is really starting to grate on me now, I feel like a shadow of myself and nothing is fun anymore.
Almost ten weeks and at this point I'm not counting down until the scans or anything I just want August here and it out so I can start living like a human again.

Twitwooo · 14/01/2019 14:25

These past three days have been absolutely awful. Dh came home from work Friday with a cold or something along those lines. So had both him and dd to look after this weekend instead of me having a break which was soul destroying in itself but then last night me and dd of course got ill too... and she's had the highest temp I've ever seen her get. All miserable and whimpering. Pleased with dh to stay home today as I couldn't cope. Gp checked her over and said just paracetamol and cuddles, so we're both drugged up hoping for a miracle so we're both better by tomorrow when we're back on our own 😔

Findingaway · 14/01/2019 14:33

Noopey · 14/01/2019 15:22

Hi all,

Thank you pixie and horton for the support messages.

It’s not good news I’m afraid. I was ok on Saturday then it all went badly on Sunday. Late afternoon I ended up in A&E due to the pain & bleeding. I’m still relying on morphine. They scanned me at the hospital last night. Baby only measured 5/6 week (I should be 11 today).

They can’t formally say I’ve miscarriaged as the baby is not big enough to show a heart beat even if all was healthy. So will need to scan in two weeks time for them to medically say what’s happened. But there’s no way I’m only 5/6 weeks and this is just bad spotting. It would need to be super human sperm to last that long to make dates workable.

However, I’ll wait until the second scan before I formally leave this lovely group.

xx
