Part 3 already!

A list of those already on the bus. Welcome to newbies. It's the countdown to 12 week scans. I think I have nearly a month to wait though :-(

@Curlywurlywoo woah now that is odd! How freaky if your dreams are accurate

@pixietheginger my hair has gone super greasy too, has yours? Maybe thats why round the hairline? So sexy haha. Mine are mainly my chin and for some reason had a few on my neck last 2 weeks

UnicornDust17 · 13/01/2019 11:08

Congrats and welcome @Curlywurlywoo and @Hortonlovesahoo, this is a very fast moving post! It's hard to keep up.... Grin

Teachermummy83 · 13/01/2019 11:54

Hi ladies, just discovered this thread and wondered if I could join please?
Going by my apps and predictors, we’re 7+3 today with our first and due 31st August or 1st September. Ive got my welcome pack and have my booking in appointment with the midwife on Thursday when I turn 8 weeks. I’m getting really anxious about my lack of symptoms though. I’m a bit tired and possibly more emotional but no nausea or sickness or pain or discomfort. I keep thinking my boobs are maybe a bit tender, or I have a funny taste in my mouth, (sorry for TMI), but I think I’m convincing myself of all that because I desperately want symptoms to prove to myself I definitely am pregnant and everything is progressing properly. I know I’m probably being daft and, fingers crossed, everything will be OK, but waiting another 5 weeks for confirmation at a scan is going to kill me..... is anyone else in the No Symptoms boat? I’d love some reassurance that it’s not just me! xx

Hortonlovesahoo · 13/01/2019 12:15

@teachermummy83: welcome! Is the taste in your mouth metallic? That's relatively common.

Don't worry about the lack of symptoms. My sister has gone through all her pregnancies with no symptoms or anything to remotely indicate she was pregnant.

Hope your meeting goes well with the midwife!

Curlywurlywoo · 13/01/2019 12:51

@UnicornDust17 thank you Grin

@Teachermummy83 I too have no nausea, no cravings and no aversions! I do have sore/sensitive boobs, I’m hungry every two hours and I have chest acne and occasionally I have a metallic smell/taste in my nose, but that’s it. And getting upset over little things! I just consider myself lucky that I can eat what I want without being sick, which means I can manage lots of fruit and veg but I completely understand, without the nausea telling you everyday there’s a baby in there it will be really a relief to have a scan and know it’s all going ok! Smile

EverythingNow · 13/01/2019 12:52

@teachermummy83 I'm expecting number 4 but I never had early symptoms with my first 3 and they were all healthy babies. I did get raging heartburn and SPD from the 2nd trimester though.

I've had nausea for the first time with this one and sore massive boobs!

PinkLady89x · 13/01/2019 12:52

Can I ask a weird question 🤦🏼‍♀️ sorry!
Is anyone deciding not to have sex or are they continuing as normal? I don't see that there is any problem to but I can't help but worry 😅.

PinkLady89x · 13/01/2019 12:53

Also, welcome to all the new joiners x it's a great group xx

Curlywurlywoo · 13/01/2019 12:57

@PinkLady89x I had light spotting around the 7 week mark and although it’s common it put us right off sex...we decided not to until we were closer to 12 weeks but midwife said it’s totally safe! So we are having sex now but have had to adjust things because I find certain angles that I used to like uncomfortable now!Blush

EverythingNow · 13/01/2019 12:57

@raindrops we will definitely find out. I'm so impatient!

We have three girls so I think this will be another. I would love a boy but I can't imagine it happening. I know that's not rational as its 50/50. At my age and taking 19m to get this far I just want it to be ok!

EverythingNow · 13/01/2019 13:02

@pinklady89 we are still at it. We abstained from 8dpo when I got my bfp to after AF was due but then got back on it. BUT although I had an early loss in April, I don't have history of bleeding in this or any of my other pregnancies, so while I was a little nervous as is normal I think there wasn't any reason not to.

Hortonlovesahoo · 13/01/2019 13:08

@pinklady89: we're still doing it as normal or as normal as we can when I'm so nauseous that I struggle with a lot of "movement"

avacadooo · 13/01/2019 13:08

@RaindropsRoses I'm already counting down until we find out! I'm just an impatient person!

@PinkLady89x I would still be doing it if I wasn't so ill, I actually miss being close to dh because it's been ages and I can't even bare a cuddle half the time.

Is anyone with hg struggling to take the pills? I can't swallow them anymore or function.

emma1224 · 13/01/2019 13:09

@PinkLady89x

Thats not a weird question at all
You can go as normal but we haven't out of my choice tbh
Being first baby I want my first trimester to be over and to have my 12 week scan before any business happens lol
Hubby is fine with that as we are both worry warts - mainly me. Plus I've been so sick and nauseous I haven't been that interested lol x

emma1224 · 13/01/2019 13:11

Also! 100% finding out what we are having even though our parents have begged for it to be a surprise but I can't wait that long I want to get buying bits and getting bits for the nursery x

IVEgottheDECAF · 13/01/2019 13:13

everythingnow We have B B G B! Would love another girl but a boy would be more cost effective lol

ABearandABump · 13/01/2019 13:18

Hi All,

Posted in a previous group earlier, accidentally.

I'm currently 9w, had an early scan at EPU due to bleeding but baby is still there, and dancing by the looks of the scan Grin.

I'm due on around 15th August.

Xx

Teachermummy83 · 13/01/2019 13:36

@Hortonlovesahoo, thank you! Yeah, it’s a vaguely metalic but not too bad. Looking forward to Thursday indeed 😊
@curlywurlywoo @everythingnow that’s reassuring ladies, thank you. Yep, an occasional vaguely metallic taste but nothing that’s too obvious. I think I’m definitely more testy than normal and hubby says ‘I’m taking no sh*t’ (sorry 😳) so maybe there are a few hormones around. I just want these next few weeks to fly so I can have a scan xx

Hortonlovesahoo · 13/01/2019 13:39

@avacadooo: Yes, I did. I don't have HG but more constant nausea. They gave me a suppository to help but I didn't realise that it contained lactose so ended up giving me horrendous diarrhea :(

Ask for a suppository if you can't take the pills. It'll help quicker too.

Foodie68 · 13/01/2019 14:29

Hi all, wondering if I can join this thread please? 🙂 I’m currently preganant with our first following ICSI. DD 13th August.

So far I’ve been quite anxious following bleeding at 4 and 6 weeks but trying to enjoy the process a bit more since we heard the heartbeat at our scan at the fertility clinic which was amazing!

Cobblestones · 13/01/2019 14:43

Welcome to new joiners!!

@foodie congrats! There are a couple of us on here following ivf.

I think we will also be finding out the sex (hoping we can get to that stage it still seems so far away!) I’m still very anxious about getting too excited or thinking too far ahead.

Question: how often do you all experience the stretching pains? I used to find it quite comforting that something was happening down there but I haven’t felt anything in about 4-5 days and my symptoms are now reducing (though I am 11 weeks) but I can’t help but wonder if something isn’t right.

Cobblestones · 13/01/2019 15:06

@moncwf just looked up SPD that sounds so painful! On top of everything else in pregnancy. 😞

clairelee17 · 13/01/2019 15:30

@Cobblestones I'm also near 11 weeks and my symptoms have reduced quite a bit the last few days. I mentioned this on the FB group yesterday and someone mentioned that at around 9 weeks the placenta forms, so the baby is getting everything through that rather than taking all our nutrients. Does that make sense? Maybe someone on here can explain it better than me! But I feel the same as you in terms of reduced symptoms.

Foodie68 · 13/01/2019 16:12

@cobblestones we are not going to find out the sex, keeping it a surprise (so long as it’s no obvious on the scan!!) Nice to hear there are a few other IVF babies on here 🙂 Our next scan is on 04/02 which seems like ages away!

My stretching pains come and go but generally are becoming less over time. I’m also feeling less nauseous now which is good.

Curlywurlywoo · 13/01/2019 17:50

@Cobblestones I’m 11 weeks 5 days today and I still get what I assume are stretching pains - every few days or so I’ll get very mild cramps which alarm me because they feel like the cramps I would get the day before I start a period but they go as quickly as they come! But because I don’t have many other symptoms I suppose I’m extra aware of the cramps! My mum said she had them all the way through when she was pregnant with me Smile
