Part 3 already!

A list of those already on the bus. Welcome to newbies. It's the countdown to 12 week scans. I think I have nearly a month to wait though :-(

Hello, can I tentatively join you all? Im now 9+2 (had a scan last week at 8+6) with baby number 4... found out over Christmas, when my hang over just wouldn't go and Im really struggling, theres going to be a lot of practical and physical changes to accommodate this baby (which will be baby number 6 for my partner and I) and we are shitting ourselves a bit.

Also, I just feel disgustingly fat, probably already about 12lb heavier than what I would aim to be pre pregnancy. Fairly miserable!!

PinkLady89x · 07/01/2019 19:09

Hi @lickencivers
I feel like your post spoke volumes to me 😅.
Although this will be our first, it's going to make a huge change to our life and basically it will never be the same again and that's something me and my other half have really been thinking about recently.
As for the feeling fat thing... I lost about a stone after my mmc in August and I've now pretty much put it all back on! I wanted to be lighter next time I fell pregnant because I felt so fat and disappointed to start a pregnancy at that weight last time and I've now gone and done it again!
As for the hangover 🤣, I actually got very drunk at a Christmas work party and was testing negative at the time only to find out a few days later that I was pregnant 😳. I can't help but worry about that because I don't even normally drink and then go and do that! Can't believe I did it!
I think that it's a very stressful time and the nausea and fatigue really doesn't help. I am usually a very positive person but I've been feeling a little low and I'm putting it down to the hormones!
Chin up! X

lickencivers · 07/01/2019 19:15

Oh @pinklady89 I was drunk most of December Wine

I haven't told any one in PG yet. Dp has told his parents who have been lovely but I can't face telling my parents or any of my friends yet.

Bakingabean · 07/01/2019 19:17

@cobblestones poor you! That sounds hideous!
I'm feeling ok today, except for when I fed the dog this morning and wretched a bit at the smell of dog food! And felt a bit iffy when I got home from work. But otherwise not so bad. Just very bloated and feel massive - colleagues either think I've eaten myself silly or have guessed already!

Hope you feel better tomorrow!

Ducksandacorns · 07/01/2019 19:27

Thanks all, I'm not going to stress about dates. Have my booking appointment in 2 weeks then hopefully dating scan soon after.

sacrecoeur0712 · 07/01/2019 19:53

Another one who had a scan today. I went to see my gynae consultant as I have had previous miscarriages and really struggled to conceive this time. I thought it would just be a consultation but she offered me a scan then and there! Lovely to see a little heartbeat at 7 weeks, but not out of the woods yet. Taking aspirin and progesterone to give it the best shot. I think I read someone else is on progesterone too, but can’t remember the name?

Nursiemum27 · 07/01/2019 20:25

@lickencivers omg snap!!!! Baby no 4 for us but with an age gap of 10 years between the youngest!! Feel very overwhelmed over how much everything is going to change, no more popping to the shop for example!! But excited at the same time x

lickencivers · 07/01/2019 20:28

@Nursiemum27 are you a nurse?

Also scared to post any details on here as don't want people to work out who I am in RL including my ex husband. Sad really as could do with the advice.

EverythingNow · 07/01/2019 20:53

@lickencivers number 4 here too. Kids aged 18,9 and 7. Join us on the Facebook page?

lickencivers · 07/01/2019 20:54

Nursiemum27 · 07/01/2019 20:55

ScotsBaby2 · 07/01/2019 21:29

Evening everyone!

Had a busy day at my first appointment with my midwife and so many questions and info!

I've been referred as high risk as I've lost to much weight and my blood pressure is too low 🙁🙁 however gave me more incentive to not let this nausea get the better of meeee and get better again! Until then no work and I've got to eat lots of goodness

Haven't caught up on the thread yet but I shall
Hope everyone is okay x

ScotsBaby2 · 07/01/2019 22:23

Sorry to hear you are high risk. Hopefully you can scoot out of the high risk category. Giant chocolate buttons? Suck on them? All the full fat stuff. Blue milk, real butter, white bread. My blood pressure was through the floor for all of my pregnancy last time then it bounced back to normal straight after birth.

ScotsBaby2 · 07/01/2019 22:40

Anyone else constantly cold? I cannot get warm.

OP posts:
Ninunina · 07/01/2019 22:43

@sacrecoeur0712 I am taking progesterone too. I was prescribed it by my consultant after a bleed at 6-7 weeks since he could see blood outside my uterus. It seems to have controlled it since the blood didn't show at my 9 weeks scan.

emma1224 · 07/01/2019 22:47

@ScotsBaby2 can I be added to the fb group too please!

Yeah they did say to me if I perk up that the consultant may say to go back to midwife led and keep an eye on me
I was really worried about the blood pressure because I don't know if I'm harming but I do google which I shouldn't I know but I saw lots of people suffered with low blood pressure and got through it so that was reassuring xx

UnicornDust17 · 07/01/2019 23:07

glad your scan was reassuring @starryeyed13 and nice to know the symptoms can come and go, too. That makes me feel better.

UnicornDust17 · 07/01/2019 23:13

@sacrecoeur0712 I'm also on progesterone, as well as steroids and blood thinning injections...!! Confused keeping my fingers firmly crossed it all works this time.

The progesterone really bloats me though and I'm not sure if it's that or the other stuff which is making it a bit of struggle to stay positive.

starryeyed13 · 07/01/2019 23:14

@UnicornDust17 thank you :) it was really reassuring. Think I fell down the trap of googling too much and winding myself up. I think the lesson I've learnt is to try really hard not to compare too much to other people - we are all completely different after all Smile

Moncwf · 07/01/2019 23:16

@emma1224 my blood pressure is always low. I was told it was a good thing, and certainly better than high in pregnancy. Hopefully just a precaution putting you as high risk. Mine went up a bit last time at the end and I was panicking and the midwife said I was finally just about in the normal range! Just don't stand up too quickly!
@ScotsBaby2 yes! Was going to ask this. Am constantly bloody freezing.

stylix1981 · 07/01/2019 23:38

Has anyone else been given cyclizine? My gp said it should relieve symptoms from about half hour after taking but ive just had my 2nd dose and it doesnt appear to be working.

Chocolate89 · 07/01/2019 23:41

@EMMA1224 my bp is always low (87/50 at the last appointment) consultant said it's nothing to worry about re baby, more for us not standing up too quick as @moncfw said! But really it is nothing to be concerned about, lots of people get it!

avacadooo · 08/01/2019 00:09

@stylix1981 hey, I was and it did nothing for me so went back and got something stronger. Don't worry if it doesn't work, there's a whole list of other drugs you can try.
Sorry you still feel awful x

emma1224 · 08/01/2019 00:10

Thank you both @Moncwf @Chocolate89
Mine was 90/50 and she didn't seem over panicked and I've banned myself from google now lol x
