Part 3 already!

A list of those already on the bus. Welcome to newbies. It's the countdown to 12 week scans. I think I have nearly a month to wait though :-(

Hey ladies! Just back from my booking apt! Had a lovely midwife!! Looking forward to the scan - I get a date sent through the post which could be from any time between 11 and 14 weeks but usually 12-13 weeks. I'm crossing my fingers I get it before the end of January!!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 07/01/2019 09:55

Just had my midwife appointment and she agrees that from palpatation, I'm further along than 10 weeks, which puts me in July. I'm going to dick out of this thread. Good luck all and I hope the sickness subsides for you all soon x

Poppy012 · 07/01/2019 10:13

Wow @Notanotherpawpatrol that's great hope you get a scan asap! Best of luck with everything xx

Poppy012 · 07/01/2019 10:14

I still need to sort booking appt 8 weeks today! Going to go to the doctors tomorrow to sort it x

UnicornDust17 · 07/01/2019 10:15

Oh wow @Notanotherpawpatrol congrats!!!! good luck!

clairelee17 · 07/01/2019 10:26

@Notanotherpawpatrol sorry to lose you from this thread! Good luck and best wishes with your pregnancy xxx

avacadooo · 07/01/2019 11:46

Just went to the doctor and she was the nicest ever!
Told me to stop being so hard on myself because I just got told I have HG, I was worried I would hurt the baby cause of it but she told me babies are more resilient than we think!
Got different meds and a sick line for two weeks so hopefully things will be looking up!💕

Jelliestogether · 07/01/2019 11:52

@notanotherpawpatrol sad to lose you from this group but congratulations being further ahead than previously thought! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for you.

Exciting to see so many of you have seen the midwife this week! Can't wait for mine this week now!

Ninunina · 07/01/2019 11:59

Sad to lose you @Notanotherpawpatrol . Let us know how far along you are when you get your scan.

RaindropsRoses · 07/01/2019 12:04

@Poppy012 if you google it you might be able to self refer, thats what I did. Just filled in an online form direct to midwives and they rang me back to make the booking appointment so havent spoke to dr x

avacadooo · 07/01/2019 12:12

@Notanotherpawpatrol what are we going to do without you?!! You're like the yoda of babies!
Congratulations though!💕

Poppy012 · 07/01/2019 12:13

Thanks but I have to take a urine sample in to confirm how stupid xx

RaindropsRoses · 07/01/2019 12:19

Wow yeah, wonder if they get a lot of pretenders ha

Just ordered a few maternity bits in the asos sale for anyone who loves a bargain. There is alot of summer stuff which is what we will need!

Poppy012 · 07/01/2019 12:26

I know yeah 🙈🤣 oh well I'm going to get it done tomorrow.

Oh lovely thanks I'll have a look as have a gift voucher to spend from there x

starryeyed13 · 07/01/2019 14:02

Hi everyone. Just catching up after a couple of days off. My symptoms pretty much disappeared almost overnight and I've had an anxious couple of days. Has some cramping yesterday so decided to go to the local EPU this morning and they were brilliant.

Within an hour I had seen a nurse and had a scan. Little one is still there and heart is still going strong. Measuring at exactly 8 weeks (so my due date is now 19th August 2018) and baby has doubled in size since my private scan last Sunday.

So relieved (though I know it's still a way to go until the 12 week mark). The nurse I saw said it really is normal for symptoms to come and go and also that cramping is really normal. So grateful for the NHS!

Cobblestones · 07/01/2019 14:04

Just did the biggest puke which totally caught me by surprise. Only yesterday I thought I’d turned a corner. @bakingabean how do you feel today?

@starryeyed glad to hear all is well. And also reassuring to hear about the cramps being normal coz I’ve had them on and off.

orangefolly · 07/01/2019 15:38

Oh poor you @cobblestones that sounds awful. I've been feeling so rough and tired lately. Hoping it's a good sign!

Great news about your scan @starryeyed

I have my 10 week scan (with the harmony test) on Fri, scanxiety starting to kick in! Told my boss I am preggo today since I have a few appointments coming up. He was lovely about it, but I knew he would be because he was super supportive when I had a miscarriage not long after joining the team. I figured he'll need to know even if it's bad news since I'll need time off. But fingers crossed! 😬

milly2000 · 07/01/2019 16:05

@orangefolly I have a scan on Thursday, I'll be 9+4 and I'm feeling exactly the same as you!

MrsRyan15 · 07/01/2019 16:53

@orangefolly snap, I have scan and harmony this week (Weds) and also told my boss today.

I hadn't intended to tell her until I was 12 weeks but we were having a discussion about changes to the team so I felt I would be unfair not to tell her.

Thankfully she was very supportive and happy for me, which makes things much easier.

Ducksandacorns · 07/01/2019 16:58

Hello all, I've been lurking a while but feel confident enough to post today.

Just wondered, for those of you who have had an early scan, how accurate were the dates they gave you vs your LMP date.

I had an early miscarriage at 4/5 weeks in October, spotting from 17th October and passed a clot on 22nd October.

I had a very light period/spotting 16/17/18th November. Partner and I had sex on the 28th November.

Positive pregnancy test on 10th December.

From my LMP dates I thought I was 7 weeks 3 days today.

I visited the EPU this morning due to left side stabbing pain, back ache and shoulder pain over the past 3 days. I had an internal scan and thankfully the pregnancy is viable. Fetal pole measures 3.1 mm and a heart beat was seen. Sonographer has dated me as 5-6 weeks.

I'm a little worried as the scan date is 2 weeks or so from where I thought I would be.

Any advice much appreciated.

clairelee17 · 07/01/2019 17:36

Hi Ducksandacorns I can understand your confusion, but I reckon that although you had 2-3 days of light spotting, this wasn't your actual period so it'd be hard to establish the first day of your period. How long did you bleed for after your miscarriage?

The only reason I ask is because I also had a miscarriage in September - lightly bled on 28th, and then passed a big clot like you on 30th. I then bled for two straight weeks, and then had two weeks of nothing, and then my period came back. However, that lasted 10 days. I just presume that the 3 days of spotting you had might not be classed as a period, therefore, they may have to go on the size of the fetal pole and other measurements rather than the date of your LMP.

Does that make any sense? That's just my interpretation and experience of this kind of thing. I wouldn't stress though. If you're 5 weeks instead of what you originally though, that's still great news :)

Cardi86 · 07/01/2019 17:42

Oh my god this pregnancy fatigue is something else! And because I’m so tired I’m eating rubbish! Feel like I really need to get my act in order for diet and exercise... it’s just so hard to be bothered!

ss3ajb · 07/01/2019 18:10

@Cardi86 I am in the same boat constantly exhausted - my apps keep telling me now is a great time to write my pregnancy exercise plan - I can just about get out of bed 🤣Am going to try swimming tomo for 30 mins to try and make a start..... will see how I get on lol

Ducksandacorns · 07/01/2019 18:12

Thanks so much @clairelee17, what you've said makes sense. I will try not to worry!

My miscarriage bleed finished shortly after I passed the clot so around the 23rd October.

Will need to rework out my dates now! Think I will count today as 5.3 as it's halfway between 5 & 6 weeks!

Ninunina · 07/01/2019 18:46

Try not to worry about dates too much @Ducksandacorns . I had a scan at 7 weeks and the doctor said he estimated the fetus was about 5-6 weeks. I had another scan a few weeks later that put me back to my original dates.
